subsidy_n call_v poundage_n viz._n of_o all_o manner_n of_o good_n and_o merchandize_n by_o whosoever_o bring_v into_o this_o realm_n after_o the_o say_v last_o of_o january_n 1699._o during_o his_o majesty_n life_n by_o way_n of_o merchandise_n twelve_o penny_n in_o the_o pound_n of_o the_o value_n of_o the_o same_o good_n and_o merchandize_n in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n and_o if_o any_o good_n so_o import_v shall_v not_o be_v particular_o rate_v in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n the_o subsidy_n by_o this_o act_n grant_v shall_v be_v levy_v according_a to_o the_o value_n of_o such_o good_n upon_o oath_n of_o the_o merchant_n except_o out_o of_o this_o subsidy_n all_o wine_n before_o limit_a to_o pay_v tonnage_n and_o all_o fish_n english_a take_v and_o bring_v by_o english_a bottom_n into_o this_o realm_n and_o all_o fresh_a fish_n and_o bestial_a and_o all_o other_o good_n and_o merchandize_n which_o in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n be_v custom_n free_a and_o all_o good_n and_o merchandize_n common_o use_v in_o die_v xlvii_o all_o drug_n chargeable_a by_o this_o act_n import_v direct_o from_o the_o place_n of_o their_o growth_n in_o english_a build_v ship_n shall_v pay_v only_o one_o three_o part_n of_o what_o be_v charge_v thereupon_o in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n and_o all_o spicery_n except_o pepper_n import_v direct_o from_o the_o place_n of_o its_o growth_n in_o english_a build_v ship_n shall_v pay_v by_o this_o act_n but_o one_o three_o part_n of_o what_o be_v charge_v in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n and_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o charge_v linen_n import_v with_o the_o additional_a duty_n of_o one_o moiety_n of_o the_o rate_v mention_v in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n and_o all_o foreign_a wrought_a silk_n export_v within_o one_o year_n from_o the_o importation_n shall_v have_v two_o three_o of_o the_o rate_n hereby_o charge_v repay_v at_o the_o customhouse_n and_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o charge_v wrought_v silk_n import_v with_o the_o additional_a duty_n of_o one_o moiety_n mention_v in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n or_o tobacco_n of_o the_o english_a plantation_n with_o the_o additional_a duty_n of_o one_o peny_n per_fw-la pound_n over_o and_o above_o the_o subsidy_n in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o rate_n or_o the_o wine_n of_o france_n germany_n portugal_n or_o madera_n with_o the_o additional_a duty_n of_o 3_o l._n per_fw-la tun_n or_o any_o other_o wine_n with_o the_o additional_a duty_n of_o 4_o l._n per_fw-la tun_n mention_v in_o the_o say_v former_a act_n or_o book_n of_o rate_n and_o that_o for_o all_o tobacco_n of_o the_o english_a plantation_n export_v within_o one_o year_n after_o its_o importation_n the_o further_a subsidy_n of_o one_o peny_n per_fw-la pound_n hereby_o grant_v shall_v be_v repay_v at_o the_o custom-house_n xlviii_o out_o of_o the_o several_a subsidy_n of_o tonnage_n and_o poundage_n by_o this_o act_n grant_v there_o shall_v be_v the_o like_a allowance_n and_o abatement_n as_o be_v prescribe_v by_o the_o say_v former_a act_n or_o book_n of_o rate_n or_o the_o rule_n thereunto_o annex_v xlix_o the_o say_v subsidy_n of_o tonnage_n and_o poundage_n hereby_o grant_v shall_v be_v collect_v by_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o custom_n under_o the_o management_n of_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o custom_n and_o shall_v be_v pay_v into_o the_o exchequer_n for_o the_o purpose_n in_o this_o act_n mention_v the_o charge_n of_o management_n only_o except_v and_o all_o the_o clause_n in_o the_o say_v former_a act_n of_o tonnage_n and_o poundage_n or_o in_o the_o book_n of_o rate_n or_o the_o rule_n thereunto_o annex_v or_o in_o any_o other_o law_n in_o force_n touch_v the_o say_a subsidy_n of_o tonnage_n and_o poundage_n shall_v be_v put_v in_o execution_n for_o answer_v the_o subsidy_n of_o tonnage_n and_o poundage_n by_o this_o act_n grant_v as_o if_o particular_o repeat_v in_o this_o act._n l._n the_o whole_a further_a subsidy_n lay_v by_o this_o act_n upon_o all_o sugar_n import_v from_o the_o english_a plantation_n in_o america_n shall_v be_v pay_v back_o at_o the_o exportation_n thereof_o li._n for_o every_o hundred_o weight_n of_o brown_n and_o muscavado_n sugar_n refine_v in_o england_n export_v out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n after_o the_o say_v last_o of_o january_n 1699._o during_o the_o continuance_n of_o this_o act_n there_o shall_v be_v repay_v at_o the_o custom-house_n to_o the_o exporter_n within_o a_o month_n after_o demand_n 3_o s._n oath_n be_v make_v by_o the_o refiner_n that_o the_o say_a sugar_n be_v produce_v from_o brown_n and_o muscavado_n sugar_n charge_v by_o this_o act_n and_o as_o he_o believe_v import_v from_o his_o majesty_n plantation_n in_o america_n and_o the_o duty_n pay_v at_o importation_n and_o due_o export_v the_o searcher_n also_o certify_v the_o ship_n and_o all_o other_o requisite_n perform_v lii_o for_o the_o further_a subsidy_n hereby_o grant_v upon_o tobacco_n of_o the_o english_a plantation_n in_o america_n the_o merchant_n giving_z security_n shall_v have_v three_o month_n from_o the_o importation_n to_o pay_v the_o same_o with_o a_o discount_n after_o 10_o per_fw-la cent._n per_fw-la ann._n for_o prompt_a payment_n if_o soon_o pay_v liii_o ginger_n of_o the_o english_a plantation_n in_o the_o west_n indies_n value_v by_o the_o book_n of_o rate_n at_o 16_o d._n per_fw-la pound_n shall_v pay_v for_o the_o say_v former_a subsidy_n 1_o s._n for_o every_o hundred_o weight_n and_o for_o the_o subsidy_n by_o this_o act_n 1_o s._n for_o every_o hundred_o weight_n and_o no_o more_o liv._o if_o any_o person_n import_v or_o bring_v into_o this_o kingdom_n any_o cut_a whalebone_n other_o than_o in_o fin_n only_a they_o shall_v forfeit_v the_o good_n and_o double_a the_o value_n of_o the_o cut_a whalebone_n so_o import_v one_o moiety_n to_o the_o king_n the_o other_o to_o they_o that_o shall_v seize_v or_o sue_v for_o the_o same_o delivery_n he_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n 20_o s._n for_o every_o cloth_n so_o sell_v to_o the_o owner_n and_o every_o piece_n of_o cloth_n not_o return_v within_o eight_o day_n after_o delivery_n of_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v deem_v to_o be_v pass_v and_o approve_v of_o by_o the_o buyer_n as_o a_o merchantable_a cloth_n and_o all_o contract_n and_o agreement_n for_o allow_v and_o all_o person_n trade_n by_o licence_n shall_v enter_v their_o licence_n in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o general_n society_n and_o take_v a_o oath_n to_o the_o like_a effect_n and_o no_o member_n of_o any_o company_n have_v power_n to_o trade_n thither_o during_o his_o continuance_n in_o the_o say_a company_n shall_v trade_n otherwise_o than_o in_o the_o joint_a stock_n thereof_o and_o every_o member_n of_o such_o company_n shall_v take_v a_o oath_n before_o two_o or_o more_o of_o the_o trustee_n for_o the_o say_a company_n to_o be_v faithful_a and_o not_o to_o trade_n to_o the_o indies_n during_o his_o continuance_n in_o the_o say_a company_n upon_o any_o private_a account_n and_o no_o person_n shall_v be_v entrust_v to_o trade_n upon_o the_o joint_a stock_n or_o for_o a_o company_n
