to_o leave_v off_o again_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o have_v begin_v for_o whenas_o our_o thought_n shall_v be_v fill_v with_o humility_n and_o dejection_n for_o our_o sin_n then_o be_v they_o ready_a to_o swarm_v with_o nothing_o but_o vile_a and_o monstrous_a imagination_n better_o therefore_o do_v we_o judge_v it_o for_o the_o most_o part_n whilst_o that_o we_o be_v new_o acquaint_v herewith_o to_o let_v all_o alone_a then_o by_o that_o mean_n as_o we_o suppose_v to_o procure_v god_n great_a wrath_n and_o indignation_n upon_o we_o beside_o thus_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o conjecture_v with_o ourselves_o what_o hope_v or_o likelihood_n be_v there_o for_o we_o to_o obtain_v the_o favour_n of_o that_o god_n from_o who_o we_o be_v so_o dangerous_o separate_v and_o who_o again_o we_o be_v with_o such_o impiety_n of_o mind_n ready_a to_o dishonour_v and_o so_o be_v we_o beat_v off_o from_o our_o poor_a and_o weak_a endeavour_n not_o dare_v to_o approach_v his_o glorious_a name_n with_o thought_n that_o speak_v nothing_o but_o fear_n and_o shame_n well_o these_o hideous_a glance_n do_v perchance_o ever_o and_o anon_o slip_v into_o the_o imagination_n and_o be_v very_o terrible_a and_o tedious_a unto_o we_o but_o many_o time_n it_o fall_v out_o for_o a_o while_n until_o we_o either_o better_o understand_v ourselves_o herein_o or_o that_o god_n show_v forth_o his_o power_n more_o strong_o in_o we_o i_o say_v it_o fall_v out_o many_o time_n that_o the_o earnest_a employment_n of_o our_o mind_n in_o the_o fear_n care_n and_o desire_n of_o other_o thing_n do_v not_o suffer_v we_o so_o serious_o to_o tend_v for_o they_o or_o else_o do_v put_v they_o out_o of_o remembrance_n again_o notwithstanding_o ever_o and_o anon_o they_o do_v come_v into_o our_o head_n to_o disturb_v and_o terrify_v we_o most_o wonderful_o but_o special_o it_o be_v to_o be_v note_v that_o if_o at_o any_o time_n we_o go_v about_o to_o read_v or_o set_v ourselves_o diligent_o upon_o the_o work_n of_o repentance_n then_o sure_o they_o be_v abundant_o present_a with_o we_o and_o because_o they_o be_v so_o terrible_a that_o we_o can_v abide_v they_o we_o must_v therefore_o needs_o leave_v off_o whatsoever_o we_o have_v take_v in_o hand_n and_o this_o we_o may_v conceive_v to_o be_v a_o special_a policy_n of_o the_o devil_n to_o have_v they_o chief_o propose_v to_o our_o fancy_n at_o such_o time_n to_o the_o end_n if_o it_o can_v be_v so_o there_o may_v be_v no_o time_n for_o we_o to_o repent_v in_o for_o now_o methinks_v at_o length_n through_o a_o due_a self-consideration_n and_o these_o manifold_a check_v trouble_n and_o inconvenience_n which_o so_o disturb_v we_o that_o we_o can_v tell_v which_o way_n to_o turn_v for_o they_o doubtless_o i_o say_v we_o have_v great_a like_a it_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v that_o according_a to_o the_o method_n in_o this_o book_n before_o premise_a most_o of_o we_o man_n have_v some_o one_o part_n or_o space_n of_o our_o life_n be_v it_o four_o or_o five_o year_n or_o whatsoever_o wherein_o sin_n have_v more_o full_a power_n over_o we_o and_o perhaps_o do_v thus_o prevail_v in_o we_o with_o a_o high_a hand_n and_o settle_a course_n and_o this_o time_n above_o all_o the_o rest_n be_v the_o time_n of_o sin_n as_o be_v so_o proper_o dispose_v for_o it_o that_o during_o the_o continuance_n thereof_o we_o can_v never_o attain_v unto_o true_a repentance_n for_o though_o that_o we_o may_v sometime_o superficial_o fallow_a up_o our_o soul_n with_o the_o sollow_a of_o humiliation_n yet_o do_v we_o not_o so_o thorough_o plough_v they_o up_o as_o to_o fit_v they_o for_o the_o due_a receive_n of_o that_o good_a seed_n which_o be_v able_a to_o fructify_v into_o newness_n of_o life_n sure_o this_o be_v not_o a_o easy_a thing_n a_o perfect_a sinner_n do_v not_o change_v his_o hue_n so_o quick_o turn_v his_o old_a life_n to_o new_a though_o we_o may_v peradventure_o many_o time_n outward_o scan_v over_o the_o duty_n of_o repentance_n yet_o do_v we_o not_o during_o this_o time_n so_o perfect_o repent_v as_o thereby_o to_o get_v a_o full_a release_n from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n or_o such_o a_o comfortable_a and_o a_o discharge_n acquittance_n to_o our_o conscience_n as_o we_o ought_v to_o have_v and_o which_o make_v we_o cheerful_a and_o free_a powerful_o to_o resolve_v and_o set_v on_o towards_o amendment_n of_o life_n well_o to_o the_o matter_n i_o say_v what_o by_o one_o mean_n or_o other_o we_o be_v yet_o still_o scare_v off_o from_o the_o main_a hope_n and_o help_v of_o our_o soul_n the_o
