consolation_n which_o arise_v from_o this_o point_n but_o first_o we_o be_v to_o know_v that_o there_o be_v three_o sort_n of_o man_n in_o the_o world_n the_o first_o be_v such_o as_o will_v neither_o hear_v nor_o obey_v the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o second_o sort_n be_v those_o which_o hear_v the_o word_n preach_v unto_o they_o but_o they_o will_v not_o obey_v both_o these_o sort_n of_o man_n be_v not_o to_o look_v for_o any_o comfort_n hence_o now_o there_o be_v a_o three_o sort_n of_o man_n which_o as_o they_o hear_v god_n word_n so_o they_o make_v conscience_n of_o obey_v the_o same_o in_o their_o life_n and_o calling_n and_o these_o be_v they_o to_o who_o the_o consolation_n that_o arise_v out_o of_o this_o place_n do_v right_o belong_v and_o must_v be_v apply_v first_o therefore_o see_v god_n the_o father_n of_o christ_n and_o in_o he_o the_o father_n of_o all_o that_o obey_v and_o do_v his_o will_n be_v our_o father_n here_o note_v the_o dignity_n and_o prerogative_n of_o all_o true_a believer_n for_o they_o be_v son_n and_o daughter_n of_o god_n 1.12_o as_o say_v saint_n john_n so_o many_o as_o receive_v he_o to_o they_o he_o give_v a_o prerogative_n to_o be_v the_o father_n spare_v his_o own_o son_n so_o will_v god_n spare_v they_o that_o fear_v he_o now_o a_o father_n command_v his_o child_n to_o write_v or_o to_o apply_v his_o book_n though_o all_o thing_n herein_o be_v not_o do_v according_a to_o his_o mind_n yet_o if_o he_o find_v a_o readiness_n with_o a_o good_a endeavour_n he_o be_v content_a and_o fall_v to_o praise_v his_o child_n writing_n or_o learning_n so_o god_n give_v his_o commandment_n and_o though_o his_o servant_n fail_v in_o obedience_n yet_o if_o the_o lord_n see_v their_o hearty_a endeavour_n and_o their_o unfeigned_a willingness_n to_o obey_v his_o will_n though_o with_o sundry_a want_n he_o have_v make_v this_o promise_n and_o will_v perform_v it_o that_o as_o a_o father_n spare_v his_o son_n so_o will_v he_o spare_v they_o if_o a_o child_n be_v sick_a will_v the_o father_n cast_v he_o off_o nay_o if_o through_o the_o grievousnes_n of_o his_o sickness_n he_o can_v not_o take_v the_o meat_n that_o be_v give_v he_o or_o if_o he_o take_v it_o and_o for_o faintness_n pick_v it_o up_o again_o will_v the_o father_n of_o the_o child_n thrust_v he_o out_o of_o door_n no_o but_o he_o will_v rather_o pity_v he_o and_o so_o when_o a_o man_n do_v endeavour_n himself_o through_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o his_o life_n to_o keep_v god_n commandment_n god_n will_v not_o cast_v he_o away_o though_o through_o weakness_n he_o fail_v in_o sundry_a thing_n and_o displease_v god_n this_o prerogative_n can_v none_o have_v but_o he_o that_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n as_o for_o other_o when_o they_o sin_n they_o do_v nothing_o else_o but_o draw_v down_o god_n judgement_n upon_o they_o for_o their_o deep_a condemnation_n three_o hence_o we_o learn_v that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n can_v not_o whole_o fall_v away_o from_o god_n favour_n i_o do_v not_o say_v that_o he_o can_v fall_v at_o all_o for_o he_o may_v fall_v away_o in_o part_n but_o he_o can_v not_o whole_o indeed_o so_o oft_o as_o he_o sin_n he_o deprive_v himself_o whole_o of_o god_n favour_n as_o much_o as_o in_o he_o lie_v yet_o god_n for_o his_o part_n still_o keep_v the_o mind_n and_o purpose_n of_o a_o father_n david_n love_v
