not_o lose_v we_o the_o truth_n as_o they_o do_v not_o alter_v the_o thing_n itself_o 2._o he_o that_o be_v under_o a_o engagement_n of_o personal_a perfect_a conformity_n to_o god_n holy_a nature_n light_n will_v accord_v with_o the_o law_n &_o witness_v for_o they_o at_o one_o time_n or_o other_o but_o what_o if_o the_o magistrate_n law_n be_v above_o the_o light_n that_o every_o man_n have_v as_o be_v the_o law_n of_o true_a religion_n christian_n and_o save_a religion_n suppose_v every_o such_o man_n who_o have_v but_o a_o inferior_a common_a light_n beneath_z and_o below_o the_o light_n of_o the_o magistrate_n law_n do_v witness_n against_o it_o not_o to_o be_v of_o god_n be_v it_o not_o therefore_o of_o god_n because_o a_o blind_a err_a conscience_n who_o can_v see_v above_o his_o candle-natural_a light_n do_v so_o judge_v of_o it_o not_o to_o be_v of_o god_n be_v it_o i_o say_v therefore_o not_o of_o god_n or_o must_v the_o magistrate_n repeal_v those_o law_n which_o accord_n with_o god_n supernatural_a light_n give_v he_o because_o the_o natural_a man_n can_v reach_v the_o understanding_n of_o they_o such_o law_n indeed_o as_o have_v persecute_v prison_a crucify_a they_o who_o have_v suffer_v for_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n if_o ruler_n repeal_v they_o not_o god_n have_v hew_v down_o in_o all_o age_n because_o contrary_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o to_o that_o which_o be_v and_o be_v in_o a_o sanctify_a conscience_n but_o the_o conscience_n of_o every_o man_n be_v not_o a_o sanctify_a conscience_n and_o therefore_o it_o may_v soon_o oppose_v what_o be_v good_a in_o the_o magistrate_n law_n than_o the_o magistrate_n good_a law_n shall_v oppose_v any_o thing_n good_a in_o the_o conscience_n and_o hereupon_o it_o follow_v that_o the_o magistrate_n be_v not_o to_o level_v his_o law_n with_o every_o man_n conscience_n and_o light_n but_o he_o be_v to_o provide_v and_o encourage_v able_a teacher_n who_o may_v by_o god_n blessing_n on_o their_o labour_n be_v instrumental_a to_o elevate_v the_o mind_n and_o conscience_n of_o people_n to_o the_o understanding_n of_o that_o which_o be_v supernatural_a in_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o of_o man_n consonant_n to_o that_o of_o god_n but_o what_o say_v these_o man_n further_o 15._o further_o glory_n of_o the_o lord_n etc._n etc._n pag._n 15._o because_o there_o have_v man_n again_o be_v religion_n within_o as_o well_o as_o without_o if_o they_o say_v without_o then_o why_o condemn_v they_o we_o who_o be_v for_o the_o outward_a part_n of_o worship_n institute_v by_o god_n if_o they_o say_v within_o then_o where_o be_v it_o seat_v every_o where_o but_o in_o the_o conscience_n if_o it_o be_v seat_v in_o the_o conscience_n as_o in_o other_o faculty_n than_o the_o law_n can_v reach_v the_o conscience_n but_o they_o will_v reach_v religion_n also_o and_o again_o if_o religion_n be_v seat_v in_o the_o conscience_n why_o shall_v not_o law_n be_v concern_v religion_n and_o according_a thereunto_o as_o according_a to_o the_o conscience_n see_v the_o conscience_n bind_v we_o to_o the_o observation_n of_o god_n law_n and_o if_o the_o magistrate_n law_n concern_v religion_n be_v according_a to_o god_n law_n the_o law_n of_o the_o magistrate_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o conscience_n will_v agree_v very_o well_o together_o for_o he_o be_v not_o a_o terror_n to_o they_o that_o do_v well_o but_o to_o evil_a doer_n yet_o his_o law_n be_v for_o the_o defence_n of_o they_o that_o do_v well_o as_o for_o the_o offence_n of_o they_o that_o do_v ill_a &_o it_o be_v the_o evil_a doer_n only_o that_o be_v afraid_a of_o a_o good_a a_o righteous_a and_o a_o religious_a law_n second_o for_o the_o discovery_n of_o r._n f._n his_o deceitful_a answer_n consist_v of_o truth_n and_o error_n jumble_v together_o the_o law_n of_o god_n say_v he_o answer_v his_o justice_n and_o the_o light_n in_o the_o conscience_n which_o answer_v the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o be_v perfect_a according_a to_o that_o in_o the_o conscience_n rep._n here_o be_v two_o truth_n the_o law_n of_o god_n answer_v his_o justice_n and_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v perfect_a but_o here_o be_v two_o error_n couch_v withal_o 1._o as_o if_o the_o law_n of_o god_n have_v no_o more_o
