not_o but_o this_o represent_v to_o we_o the_o exact_a and_o impartial_a justice_n of_o the_o last_o judgement_n for_o there_o be_v two_o sort_n of_o book_n which_o shall_v be_v open_v and_o out_o of_o which_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v 1._o the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o our_o action_n by_o which_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v 2._o the_o record_n of_o our_o life_n and_o action_n which_o contain_v the_o matter_n of_o fact_n or_o that_o for_o which_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v i_o shall_v discourse_v more_o particular_o of_o this_o hereafter_o and_o shall_v only_o observe_v at_o present_a that_o god_n be_v a_o curious_a observer_n of_o all_o our_o action_n and_o keep_v a_o faithful_a record_n of_o they_o though_o we_o take_v little_a notice_n of_o our_o sin_n we_o but_o that_o god_n will_v and_o then_o the_o reason_n be_v very_o strong_a also_o that_o if_o god_n will_v judge_v we_o we_o ought_v to_o judge_v ourselves_o for_o this_o be_v the_o proper_a have_v unsheathe_v the_o sword_n and_o make_v it_o drink_v with_o blood_n when_o the_o desolation_n of_o flourish_a country_n the_o burn_a of_o town_n and_o city_n the_o lamentable_a slaughter_n of_o infinite_a number_n of_o people_n do_v so_o loud_o proclaim_v the_o wrath_n and_o displeasure_n of_o god_n those_o who_o have_v asleep_o great_a and_o awful_a and_o terrible_a sense_n of_o judgement_n will_v never_o be_v awaken_v but_o by_o the_o sound_n of_o the_o last_o trumpet_n it_o be_v this_o that_o make_v the_o judgement_n of_o god_n so_o effectual_a to_o reform_v the_o world_n not_o mere_o the_o fear_n of_o present_a suffering_n of_o those_o temporal_a evil_n and_o calamity_n wherewith_o god_n punish_v sinner_n but_o that_o by_o these_o visible_a token_n of_o god_n anger_n by_o the_o present_a sensible_a effect_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o power_n man_n be_v rouse_v and_o alarm_v into_o a_o consideration_n of_o future_a vengeance_n we_o extreme_o weaken_v the_o argument_n from_o present_a and_o sensible_a judgement_n when_o we_o urge_v it_o no_o further_o then_o to_o persuade_v man_n to_o reform_v their_o life_n to_o remove_v those_o judgement_n which_o be_v upon_o they_o this_o be_v a_o additional_a argument_n to_o reform_v our_o sin_n to_o save_v our_o country_n from_o ruin_n but_o those_o who_o will_v not_o reform_v their_o sin_n to_o save_v their_o soul_n will_v never_o part_v with_o they_o to_o save_v a_o nation_n and_o therefore_o the_o true_a force_n of_o the_o argument_n resolve_v itself_o into_o a_o future_a judgement_n god_n have_v begin_v to_o punish_v be_v very_o righteous_a too_o and_o very_o severe_a in_o his_o judgement_n that_o though_o he_o be_v gracious_a and_o merciful_a slow_a to_o anger_n and_o of_o great_a kindness_n yet_o he_o will_v not_o always_o spare_v but_o will_v awake_v to_o visit_v the_o heathen_a and_o will_v not_o be_v merciful_a to_o any_o wicked_a transgressor_n 59_o psal._n 5._o when_o we_o see_v what_o desolation_n god_n make_v in_o the_o earth_n how_o his_o judgement_n like_o a_o sudden_a and_o mighty_a torrent_n overflow_v a_o secure_a and_o happy_a country_n sweep_v away_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o it_o or_o wisdom_n and_o justice_n will_v permit_v to_o destroy_v a_o world_n be_v a_o work_n of_o as_o great_a wisdom_n and_o counsel_n as_o to_o make_v one_o nay_o the_o divine_a goodness_n will_v easy_o justify_v the_o make_n of_o a_o world_n at_o any_o time_n for_o no_o time_n be_v unfit_a to_o exercise_v such_o act_n of_o goodness_n as_o will_v justify_v themselves_o but_o for_o god_n to_o destroy_v the_o world_n which_o he_o have_v make_v without_o great_a necessity_n for_o it_o reflect_v upon_o his_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n in_o make_v it_o the_o wise_a maker_n of_o the_o world_n can_v have_v no_o inclination_n to_o destroy_v it_o and_o though_o the_o justice_n of_o providence_n may_v require_v some_o more_o hasty_a execution_n to_o maintain_v good_a order_n and_o government_n and_o to_o give_v check_n to_o vice_n yet_o the_o final_a destruction_n of_o the_o world_n require_v all_o wise_a delay_n and_o sinner_n can_v expect_v no_o more_o of_o god_n than_o to_o defer_v their_o final_a sentence_n as_o long_o as_o he_o can_v defer_v the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n it_o be_v great_a pity_n that_o such_o goodness_n and_o patience_n shall_v be_v so_o monstrous_o abuse_v that_o man_n shall_v harden_v themselves_o in_o sin_n and_o conclude_v that_o god_n will_v not_o judge_v the_o world_n because_o he_o be_v so_o unwilling_a to_o destroy_v it_o but_o this_o will_v earth_n but_o one_o vulcano_n one_o aetna_n or_o vesuvius_n vomit_v up_o river_n of_o burn_a sulphur_n and_o themselves_o plunge_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o it_o let_v they_o try_v how_o they_o can_v bear_v this_o thought_n before_o they_o laugh_v at_o hell_n for_o this_o will_v certain_o be_v the_o state_n of_o sinner_n at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n and_o shall_v not_o this_o make_v we_o
