great_a recompense_n of_o thy_o charity_n because_o thou_o bestow_v that_o which_o be_v not_o thou_o thou_o ought_v first_o to_o have_v make_v thy_o estate_n clear_a and_o have_v restore_v the_o thing_n that_o belong_v unto_o other_o and_o reserve_v thou_o own_o by_o itself_o and_o then_o to_o give_v free_a scope_n to_o thy_o charity_n to_o the_o do_v of_o any_o good_a action_n which_o time_n and_o occasion_n can_v propound_v this_o be_v the_o first_o duty_n of_o any_o man_n that_o will_v do_v good_a in_o give_v he_o must_v give_v just_o second_o he_o must_v give_v wise_o too_o it_o be_v make_v the_o mark_n of_o a_o 12._o man_n fear_v god_n he_o consider_v wise_o of_o the_o poor_a and_o he_o order_v his_o affair_n with_o judgement_n what_o be_v that_o judgement_n have_v a_o twofold_a respect_n it_o have_v respect_n to_o the_o quantity_n of_o a_o man_n gift_n and_o to_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o person_n to_o who_o he_o give_v there_o must_v be_v a_o judgement_n a_o wise_a order_n of_o thing_n in_o respect_n quantity_n of_o the_o quantity_n which_o a_o man_n bestow_v according_a to_o that_o expression_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o act_n 11._o 29._o they_o give_v according_a to_o their_o ability_n they_o keep_v within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o estate_n and_o exceed_v not_o so_o must_v thou_o or_o else_o another_o man_n may_v perchance_o lose_v by_o thy_o liberality_n again_o there_o must_v be_v respect_n have_v to_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o person_n quality_n to_o who_o he_o give_v my_o goodness_n extend_v to_o the_o saint_n that_o be_v on_o earth_n to_o the_o faithful_a one_o as_o the_o text_n say_v here_o to_o the_o household_n of_o faith_n it_o be_v not_o necessary_a to_o give_v to_o every_o one_o that_o come_v next_o to_o hand_n there_o be_v some_o person_n i_o tell_v you_o before_o that_o be_v not_o to_o be_v relieve_v except_o in_o case_n of_o extreme_a necessity_n we_o must_v extend_v our_o benevolence_n to_o those_o of_o the_o household_n of_o faith_n give_v unto_o christ_n and_o to_o the_o naked_a and_o hungry_a member_n that_o belong_v unto_o he_o and_o thou_o shall_v not_o want_v a_o sweet_a and_o comfortable_a return_n of_o thy_o charity_n again_o as_o it_o must_v be_v do_v just_o and_o wise_o so_o if_o we_o desire_v to_o do_v 8._o good_a in_o relieve_v we_o must_v do_v it_o simple_o in_o the_o simplicity_n and_o plainness_n of_o our_o heart_n let_v he_o that_o distribute_v do_v it_o in_o simplicity_n say_v the_o apostle_n what_o be_v that_o simplicity_n when_o a_o man_n look_v up_o to_o god_n with_o a_o single_a eye_n as_o the_o eye_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v single_a when_o it_o view_v but_o one_o object_n at_o once_o so_o the_o heart_n be_v small_a when_o it_o respect_v god_n only_o in_o this_o action_n of_o charity_n and_o make_v no_o other_o reckon_n of_o any_o outward_a object_n a_o double-minded_n man_n he_o look_v up_o to_o god_n and_o yet_o carry_v some_o respect_n to_o the_o outward_a honour_n which_o he_o expect_v of_o the_o world_n and_o more_o often_o time_n to_o the_o world_n then_o to_o god_n at_o least_o he_o join_v they_o together_o but_o if_o a_o man_n be_v desirous_a to_o bestow_v his_o benevolence_n with_o a_o purpose_n to_o receive_v recompense_n from_o above_o let_v he_o do_v it_o for_o his_o sake_n that_o command_v it_o and_o reflect_v upon_o god_n in_o all_o thing_n this_o be_v the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n say_v the_o apostle_n that_o in_o simplicity_n and_o sincerity_n we_o have_v have_v our_o conversation_n among_o you_o not_o affect_v the_o
