write_n as_o well_o as_o another_o and_o late_a author_n and_o what_o if_o moses_n do_v write_v the_o war_n of_o amalek_n must_v he_o therefore_o write_v that_o of_o the_o amorites_n warring_n against_o the_o moabite_n before_o he_o be_v concern_v with_o they_o also_o these_o kind_n of_o pretence_n may_v amuse_v some_o that_o be_v not_o give_v to_o think_v they_o can_v never_o prevail_v mention_v by_o the_o writer_n as_o a_o three_o person_n and_o beside_o that_o we_o find_v moses_n be_v commend_v in_o the_o pentateuch_n numb_a 12.6_o 8._o deut._n 34.10_o and_o if_o we_o take_v he_o for_o the_o writer_n of_o those_o book_n we_o must_v suppose_v he_o also_o to_o have_v commend_v himself_o which_o will_v hardly_o be_v grant_v in_o a_o man_n of_o so_o great_a humility_n and_o wisdom_n as_o moses_n be_v i_o answer_v 1._o as_o to_o the_o pretence_n that_o moses_n be_v not_o the_o author_n because_o he_o speak_v of_o himself_o as_o of_o a_o three_o person_n than_o it_o follow_v that_o whoever_o do_v in_o his_o history_n or_o work_n mâ—ntion_v himself_o as_o moses_n in_o these_o book_n be_v suppose_v to_o do_v he_o can_v be_v the_o author_n of_o that_o book_n or_o relation_n this_o will_v be_v to_o conclude_v too_o much_o and_o yet_o if_o this_o proposition_n be_v not_o true_a tâ—â—â—_n objection_n have_v so_o far_o as_o it_o go_v no_o manner_n of_o force_n in_o it_o that_o he_o can_v be_v the_o author_n of_o a_o book_n that_o mention_n himself_o as_o a_o three_o person_n may_v be_v affirm_v indeed_o easy_o but_o can_v never_o be_v prove_v if_o this_o be_v admit_v we_o must_v discharge_v several_a author_n of_o the_o book_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n both_o of_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n also_o and_o then_o we_o must_v not_o believe_v that_o julius_n caesar_n write_v the_o commentary_n that_o go_v under_o his_o name_n or_o josephus_n that_o part_n of_o his_o repute_a work_n where_o he_o speak_v of_o himself_o as_o of_o a_o three_o person_n it_o be_v hardly_o credible_a that_o the_o objector_n can_v believe_v the_o consequence_n of_o this_o objection_n and_o i_o think_v there_o be_v no_o fear_n if_o they_o shall_v that_o any_o
