your_o while_n to_o concern_v yourselves_o so_o much_o about_o they_o wherefore_o in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n consider_v with_o yourselves_o what_o a_o infinite_a deal_n of_o good_a you_o be_v capable_a of_o do_v they_o by_o your_o pious_a instruction_n and_o admonition_n and_o what_o a_o unnatural_a barbarity_n it_o will_v be_v to_o omit_v and_o neglect_v it_o chap._n ii_o of_o mercy_n punishment_n inflict_v on_o they_o for_o injury_n receive_v five_o want_v of_o outward_a necessary_n i._o one_o of_o the_o misery_n which_o affect_v man_n body_n be_v their_o natural_a blemish_n and_o defect_n such_o as_o lameness_n or_o crookedness_n the_o want_n of_o our_o sense_n or_o the_o disproportion_n of_o our_o part_n or_o feature_n all_o which_o be_v real_a infelicity_n for_o as_o much_o as_o they_o render_v our_o body_n either_o less_o useful_a to_o ourselves_o or_o less_o graceful_a and_o amiable_a to_o other_o and_o indeed_o our_o body_n be_v a_o object_n of_o sense_n be_v usual_o much_o more_o remark_v and_o take_v notice_n of_o than_o our_o soul_n which_o be_v a_o invisible_a be_v and_o consequent_o the_o defect_n and_o blemish_n of_o our_o body_n lie_v more_o in_o view_n be_v much_o more_o liable_a to_o be_v reflect_v on_o both_o by_o ourselves_o and_o those_o we_o converse_v with_o than_o the_o stain_n and_o deformity_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o will_n which_o be_v place_v out_o of_o sight_n be_v less_o expose_v to_o observation_n which_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o our_o corporeal_a defect_n be_v so_o grievous_a to_o we_o because_o be_v so_o apparent_a as_o they_o be_v both_o to_o our_o own_o and_o other_o sense_n they_o do_v not_o only_o upbraid_v we_o to_o our_o self_n who_o be_v lead_v by_o sense_n be_v apt_a to_o value_v ourselves_o by_o sensible_a grace_n and_o perfection_n but_o be_v also_o prone_a to_o create_v a_o mean_a and_o contemptible_a opinion_n of_o we_o in_o the_o mind_n of_o other_o the_o very_a suspicion_n of_o which_o if_o we_o be_v not_o raise_v above_o such_o mean_a consideration_n will_v be_v exceed_o apt_a to_o grieve_v and_o afflict_v we_o in_o this_o case_n therefore_o the_o law_n of_o mercy_n require_v we_o not_o to_o contemn_v or_o undervalue_v man_n not_o to_o upbraid_v or_o reproach_v they_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o any_o bodily_a blemish_n or_o defect_n but_o to_o overlook_a these_o as_o inconsiderable_a flaw_n of_o their_o case_n and_o outside_o and_o render_v they_o all_o those_o honour_n and_o respect_n which_o the_o grace_n and_o virtue_n of_o their_o mind_n deserve_v consider_v that_o the_o body_n be_v not_o the_o man_n but_o the_o immortal_a mind_n that_o inhabit_v it_o and_o that_o many_o time_n the_o rich_a diamond_n wear_v the_o rough_a coat_n and_o outside_n that_o those_o natural_a blemish_n be_v infelicity_n which_o man_n can_v not_o prevent_v and_o which_o they_o can_v rectify_v that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o their_o power_n to_o order_v nature_n in_o their_o own_o composure_n deride_v and_o expose_v they_o for_o any_o mishap_n or_o blemish_n in_o their_o composition_n be_v to_o fling_v salt_n into_o their_o wound_n to_o fret_v and_o inflame_v their_o misery_n and_o yet_o alas_o how_o common_a a_o practice_n be_v this_o to_o sport_n with_o the_o deformity_n of_o man_n as_o if_o god_n and_o nature_n have_v design_v they_o for_o so_o many_o finger-but_n of_o scorn_n and_o derision_n to_o make_v they_o the_o theme_n of_o our_o jest_n and_o laughter_n which_o be_v a_o lamentable_a instance_n of_o the_o foul_a degeneracy_n of_o humane_a nature_n that_o can_v thus_o play_v upon_o misery_n and_o turn_v that_o which_o be_v a_o object_n of_o pity_n and_o compassion_n into_o a_o triumph_n of_o mirth_n and_o drollery_n for_o certain_o how_o light_n and_o trifle_a soever_o it_o may_v appear_v through_o the_o common_a practice_n of_o it_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o barbarous_a ill-nature_n for_o man_n to_o deride_v those_o defect_n and_o blemish_n in_o another_o
