nature_n i._n e._n we_o have_v it_o from_o they_o for_o when_o any_o be_v conceive_v in_o sin_n be_v they_o conceive_v 2._o corruption_n of_o nature_n be_v natural_o as_o dear_a to_o man_n as_o their_o flesh_n their_o very_a body_n and_o as_o near_o to_o they_o no_o man_n hate_v his_o own_o flesh_n but_o cherish_v it_o so_o no_o man_n natural_o hate_v his_o corrupt_a nature_n which_o he_o bring_v into_o the_o world_n with_o he_o but_o every_o one_o cherish_v and_o nourish_v his_o corruption_n and_o make_v provision_n for_o it_o till_o he_o be_v renew_v yea_o how_o many_o show_n more_o love_n more_o tenderness_n towards_o their_o corruption_n than_o to_o their_o very_a body_n how_o many_o endure_v much_o suffer_v great_o in_o their_o body_n and_o venture_v and_o lose_v not_o unusual_o their_o life_n itself_o from_o their_o love_n to_o some_o vile_a lust_n which_o be_v to_o they_o as_o their_o right_a eye_n their_o right_a hand_n or_o right_a foot_n and_o as_o their_o life_n itself_o skin_n for_o skin_n and_o all_o that_o a_o man_n have_v will_v he_o give_v for_o his_o life_n only_o a_o man_n lust_n that_o be_v many_o time_n so_o dear_a to_o he_o he_o will_v hazard_v his_o life_n to_o satisfy_v it_o rather_o than_o lay_v it_o aside_o or_o part_n with_o it_o 3._o corruption_n grow_v with_o the_o flesh_n and_o as_o the_o flesh_n be_v strong_a or_o weak_a so_o frequent_o be_v the_o working_n of_o lust_n hence_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o keep_v under_o his_o body_n in_o fickness_n in_o bodily_a weakness_n this_o and_o that_o sin_n do_v not_o ordinary_o move_v so_o much_o or_o stir_v so_o strong_o 4._o corrupt_a nature_n do_v never_o quite_o cease_v in_o any_o till_o they_o lie_v down_o put_v off_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o their_o flesh_n while_o only_o as_o to_o hereafter_o or_o in_o their_o desert_n but_o in_o their_o present_a effect_n yet_o be_v they_o please_v to_o it_o all_o which_o arise_v from_o corrupt_a nature_n 6._o corruption_n prevail_v and_o reign_v turn_v the_o soul_n of_o man_n as_o it_o be_v into_o flesh_n it_o make_v a_o man_n mind_n fleshly_a col._n 2.18_o so_o it_o make_v his_o will_n affection_n all_o fleshly_a so_o that_o though_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n be_v a_o spirit_n god_n be_v the_o father_n of_o spirit_n of_o man_n soul_n that_o be_v yet_o through_o inbred_a sin_n it_o mind_v use_n of_o a_o man_n reason_n it_o cause_v he_o to_o act_v as_o unreasonable_o irrational_o as_o if_o he_o have_v not_o a_o reasonable_a soul_n it_o make_v many_o a_o man_n like_o nebuchadnezar_n when_o his_o understanding_n go_v from_o he_o fit_a for_o the_o society_n of_o beast_n than_o of_o reasonable_a creature_n live_v like_o themselves_o when_o a_o lust_n prevail_v in_o the_o psalmist_n together_o and_o each_o of_o those_o member_n differ_v the_o one_o from_o the_o other_o in_o their_o proper_a nature_n and_o use_n rom._n 12.4_o we_o have_v many_o member_n in_o one_o body_n and_o all_o member_n have_v not_o the_o same_o office_n so_o be_v the_o mystical_a body_n of_o christ_n his_o church_n and_o thus_o be_v it_o with_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n it_o have_v divers_a part_n and_o member_n and_o therefore_o may_v be_v call_v in_o that_o place_n to_o the_o colossian_n even_o now_o cite_v the_o body_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o flesh_n there_o be_v pride_n hatred_n hypocrisy_n covetousness_n unbelief_n with_o many_o more_o all_o which_o be_v as_o member_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o union_n between_o they_o they_o all_o together_o make_v one_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o each_o of_o they_o differ_v in_o the_o proper_a nature_n thereof_o and_o in_o its_o work_n or_o act_v as_o the_o hand_n be_v one_o thing_n and_o act_n in_o one_o manner_n the_o foot_n another_o thing_n and_o act_n in_o another_o manner_n the_o eye_n differ_v from_o the_o ear_n and_o the_o ear_n from_o the_o eye_n so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o several_a part_n of_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o it_o may_v be_v observe_v as_o some_o part_n of_o the_o body_n be_v inward_a not_o ordinary_o see_v or_o easy_a to_o be_v see_v other_o be_v outward_a without_o and_o manifest_a to_o all_o so_o some_o lust_n be_v more_o secret_a and_o not_o so_o common_o or_o easy_o perceive_v as_o other_o be_v which_o daily_o show_v themselves_o as_o also_o the_o be_v and_o subsistence_n or_o life_n of_o the_o body_n lie_v chief_o in_o those_o part_n that_o be_v within_o as_o the_o heart_n liver_n lung_n which_o be_v more_o necessary_a to_o the_o body_n its_o subsist_v than_o the_o outward_a part_n as_o hand_n leg_n so_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n have_v its_o be_v principal_o in_o those_o sin_n that_o be_v more_o secret_a less_o obvious_a such_o as_o hypocrifie_n unbelief_n formality_n covetousness_n vanity_n of_o mind_n these_o be_v as_o the_o heart_n liver_n and_o lung_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n it_o will_v no_o long_o subsist_v be_v there_o nothing_o kind_n of_o part_n so_o one_o man_n be_v more_o notable_a or_o notorious_a in_o one_o lust_n another_o in_o another_o lust_n one_o be_v famous_a or_o rather_o infamous_a for_o his_o pride_n another_o for_o his_o dissemble_n a_o three_o for_o his_o covetousness_n but_o all_o have_v the_o same_o lust_n by_o nature_n you_o may_v say_v some_o man_n never_o commit_v some_o sin_n some_o be_v never_o nature_n as_o a_o spirit_n thereby_o but_o not_o to_o carry_v this_o too_o far_o last_o as_o the_o body_n be_v still_o crave_v one_o thing_n or_o other_o meat_n drink_z sleep_n clothes_n the_o cool_a ought_v not_o to_o be_v make_v light_n but_o our_o heart_n shall_v mourn_v be_v ashamed_a humble_v and_o break_v for_o they_o as_o well_o as_o for_o outward_a sin_n some_o one_o may_v here_o ask_v why_o say_v our_o apostle_n if_o you_o mortify_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o body_n why_o say_v he_o not_o if_o you_o mortify_v the_o body_n it_o may_v be_v think_v he_o shall_v rather_o have_v speak_v of_o mortify_v the_o body_n of_o corruption_n itself_o than_o the_o deed_n of_o it_o i_o answer_v 1._o the_o apostle_n may_v thus_o express_v himself_o because_o the_o deed_n of_o corrupt_a nature_n mortify_v the_o body_n itself_o to_o mortify_v the_o root_n be_v the_o best_a way_n to_o mortify_v the_o fruit_n than_o i_o answer_v the_o apostle_n intend_v that_o that_o we_o mortify_v the_o deed_n corruption_n will_v the_o lord_n render_v to_o we_o in_o that_o day_n if_o we_o mortify_v they_o not_o but_o o_o alas_o what_o a_o recompense_n what_o woe_n what_o sore_a punishment_n when_o god_n even_o the_o most_o high_a and_o almighty_a one_o himself_o and_o that_o in_o the_o day_n of_o wrath_n shall_v render_v to_o a_o poor_a creature_n a_o miserable_a man_n according_a to_o all_o the_o after_o god_n every_o lust_n any_o one_o sin_n not_o mortify_v it_o do_v bind_v a_o man_n hand_n and_o foot_n as_o to_o any_o right_a performance_n to_o god_n so_o it_o will_v be_v most_o just_a for_o christ_n to_o say_v to_o all_o who_o sin_n be_v not_o mortify_v as_o he_o foretell_v we_o he_o will_v say_v take_v they_o bound_v they_o hand_n and_o foot_n and_o cast_v they_o into_o outer_a darkness_n because_o they_o suffer_v themselves_o as_o if_o christ_n shall_v say_v to_o be_v take_v and_o bind_v hand_n and_o foot_n by_o their_o corruption_n and_o will_v not_o endeavour_v by_o communion_n with_o satan_n but_o such_o who_o heart_n be_v in_o league_n with_o their_o sin_n therefore_o such_o can_v have_v no_o fellowship_n with_o god_n nor_o can_v it_o be_v that_o god_n shall_v draw_v nigh_o to_o they_o in_o a_o way_n of_o communion_n so_o then_o i_o need_v say_v no_o more_o it_o abundant_o appear_v it_o be_v necessary_a of_o exceed_v great_a necessity_n that_o we_o do_v we_o be_v double-minded_n and_o double-hearted_n in_o our_o approach_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n second_o if_o we_o do_v not_o mortify_v our_o corruption_n they_o will_v yea_o they_o will_v cause_v
