truth_n it_o shall_v be_v both_o safe_a and_o sweet_a to_o you_o to_o meditate_v on_o the_o word_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n and_o the_o entrance_n into_o it_o shall_v give_v you_o light_n a_o old_a light_n which_o be_v from_o the_o beginning_n &_o therefore_o a_o true_a light_n for_o all_o truth_n be_v eternal_a and_o yet_o a_o new_a light_n to_o your_o sense_n and_o feeling_n it_o be_v both_o a_o old_a command_n and_o a_o new_a command_n a_o old_a word_n &_o a_o new_a word_n if_o thou_o search_v by_o the_o spirit_n inspiration_n that_o old_a word_n shall_v be_v make_v new_a that_o letter_n make_v spirit_n and_o life_n such_o be_v the_o word_n that_o christ_n speak_v but_o yet_o there_o be_v many_o who_o do_v not_o reject_v the_o scripture_n in_o judgement_n who_o notwithstanding_o do_v not_o build_v on_o they_o in_o practice_n alas_o it_o may_v be_v say_v of_o the_o most_o part_n of_o profess_a christian_n among_o we_o that_o they_o be_v not_o build_v upon_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o prophet_n &_o apostle_n but_o upon_o the_o say_n of_o fallible_a and_o weak_a man_n what_o ground_n have_v many_o of_o you_o for_o your_o faith_n but_o because_o the_o minister_n say_v so_o you_o believe_v so_o the_o most_o part_n live_v in_o a_o implicit_a faith_n and_o practice_n that_o in_o themselves_o which_o they_o condemn_v in_o the_o papist_n you_o do_v not_o labour_v to_o search_v the_o scripture_n that_o upon_o that_o foundation_n you_o may_v build_v your_o faith_n in_o the_o question_v truth_n of_o this_o age_n that_o so_o you_o may_v be_v able_a to_o answer_v to_o those_o that_o ask_v a_o reason_n of_o the_o faith_n that_o be_v in_o you_o alas_o simple_a soul_n you_o believe_v every_o thing_n and_o yet_o real_o believe_v nothing_o because_o you_o believe_v not_o the_o word_n as_o the_o word_n of_o the_o live_a god_n but_o take_v it_o from_o man_n upon_o their_o authority_n therefore_o when_o a_o temptation_n come_v when_o any_o gainsaying_n of_o the_o truth_n you_o can_v stand_v against_o it_o because_o your_o faith_n have_v no_o foundation_n but_o the_o say_n of_o man_n or_o act_n of_o assembly_n and_o therefore_o as_o man_n who_o you_o trust_v with_o hold_v out_o light_a unto_o you_o hold_v out_o darkness_n in_o stead_n of_o light_n you_o embrace_v that_o darkness_n also_o but_o i_o beseech_v you_o be_v build_v upon_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n not_o upon_o they_o but_o upon_o that_o whereon_o they_o be_v build_v the_o infallible_a truth_n of_o god_n you_o have_v the_o scripture_n search_v they_o since_o you_o have_v reasonable_a soul_n search_v they_o other_o man_n faith_n will_v not_o save_v you_o you_o can_v see_v to_o walk_v to_o heaven_n by_o other_o man_n light_n more_o than_o you_o can_v see_v by_o their_o eye_n you_o have_v eye_n of_o your_o own_o soul_n of_o your_o own_o subordinate_a to_o none_o but_o the_o god_n of_o spirit_n and_o lord_n of_o conscience_n jesus_n christ_n &_o therefore_o examine_v all_o that_o be_v speak_v to_o you_o from_o the_o word_n
