prayer_n or_o rather_o miserable_o to_o deceive_v ourselves_o for_o as_o many_o have_v not_o because_o they_o ask_v not_o so_o many_o ask_v and_o receive_v not_o because_o they_o ask_v amiss_o i_o be_o 4.3_o and_o such_o be_v they_o which_o ask_v without_o charity_n and_o who_o know_v how_o soon_o they_o may_v stand_v in_o need_n of_o god_n mercy_n 2._o it_o hinder_v our_o prayer_n in_o this_o respect_n because_o without_o charity_n we_o can_v join_v those_o with_o who_o we_o be_v at_o variance_n with_o ourselves_o in_o our_o prayer_n which_o be_v against_o the_o rule_n of_o our_o saviour_n thus_o for_o they_o who_o we_o love_v not_o our_o own_o conscience_n can_v sufficient_o tell_v we_o that_o we_o can_v yea_o and_o that_o we_o often_o have_v be_v faulty_a herein_o wherefore_o if_o our_o confession_n must_v not_o be_v of_o the_o heart_n only_o but_o of_o the_o mouth_n also_o for_o god_n who_o make_v both_o expect_v to_o be_v honour_v by_o both_o &_o as_o both_o have_v be_v unclean_a before_o he_o so_o they_o ought_v both_o also_o to_o acknowledge_v the_o same_o that_o he_o may_v cleanse_v and_o purify_v both_o they_o &_o with_o they_o the_o whole_a man_n again_o our_o without_o any_o merit_n at_o all_o or_o satisfaction_n of_o we_o 3._o concern_v god_n we_o ought_v to_o believe_v that_o if_o we_o true_o repent_v we_o of_o our_o life_n past_a constant_o purpose_v to_o lead_v a_o new_a life_n hereafter_o and_o sincere_o use_v those_o good_a mean_n which_o he_o shall_v afford_v we_o he_o will_v then_o be_v merciful_a unto_o we_o in_o accept_v our_o endeavour_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n jesus_n 4._o concern_v the_o sacrament_n we_o ought_v to_o believe_v that_o it_o be_v a_o mean_n ordain_v of_o god_n to_o exhibit_v unto_o we_o christ_n jesus_n with_o his_o merit_n &_o a_o seal_n to_o confirm_v our_o faith_n if_o upon_o consideration_n of_o these_o particular_n we_o can_v be_v thus_o persuade_v of_o our_o own_o insufficiency_n and_o unworthiness_n &_o that_o yet_o notwithstanding_o upon_o our_o sincere_a humiliation_n &_o obedience_n god_n will_v be_v merciful_a unto_o we_o if_o we_o can_v not_o only_o say_v in_o general_a that_o
