covenant_n with_o thou_o by_o renew_v the_o condition_n of_o it_o which_o be_v embrace_v thy_o promise_n by_o a_o lively_a faith_n and_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o by_o unfeigned_a repentance_n let_v he_o confess_v his_o sin_n bewail_v and_o forsake_v they_o resolve_v to_o amend_v his_o life_n if_o thou_o shall_v prolong_v his_o day_n comfort_v he_o with_o the_o comfort_n of_o thy_o spirit_n and_o as_o his_o bodily_a grief_n abound_v so_o let_v thy_o consolation_n abound_v and_o exceed_v they_o give_v he_o patience_n to_o endure_v what_o thou_o inflict_a and_o tempt_v he_o not_o above_o his_o power_n but_o either_o lessen_v his_o grief_n or_o increase_v his_o strength_n moderate_a and_o mitigate_v his_o bodily_a pain_n with_o the_o inward_a feeling_n of_o thy_o love_n this_o purpose_n and_o be_v raise_v from_o his_o bed_n of_o sickness_n give_v unto_o he_o a_o right_a use_n both_o of_o thy_o fatherly_a chastisement_n and_o of_o thy_o gracious_a deliverance_n that_o by_o the_o one_o he_o may_v be_v move_v to_o fear_v thou_o and_o to_o hate_v sin_n have_v taste_v the_o bitter_a fruit_n of_o it_o and_o by_o the_o other_o to_o love_v and_o glorify_v thou_o who_o have_v hear_v his_o prayer_n in_o the_o day_n of_o his_o tribulation_n and_o by_o they_o both_o to_o serve_v thou_o with_o great_a zeal_n and_o with_o more_o earnest_a endeavour_n then_o ever_o heretofore_o hear_v we_o dear_a father_n and_o answer_v we_o gracious_o in_o these_o our_o suit_n even_o for_o jesus_n christ_n his_o sake_n to_o who_o with_o thou_o and_o the_o holy_a spirit_n we_o acknowledge_v to_o be_v due_a and_o desire_v to_o give_v all_o glory_n praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n both_o now_o and_o for_o evermore_o amen_n but_o if_o the_o sick_a party_n be_v a_o child_n and_o so_o not_o capable_a of_o the_o outward_a and_o ordinary_a mean_n of_o salvation_n then_o pray_v for_o he_o after_o this_o manner_n more_o especial_o we_o humble_o entreat_v thou_o to_o extend_v thy_o grace_n and_o favour_n unto_o this_o thy_o sick_a servant_n and_o see_v thou_o be_v not_o only_o the_o god_n of_o the_o faithful_a but_o also_o of_o their_o seed_n and_o love_v and_o tender_v not_o only_o the_o sheep_n of_o christ_n but_o even_o the_o tender_a lamb_n we_o earnest_o beseech_v thou_o make_v good_a thy_o gracious_a covenant_n with_o this_o thy_o weak_a and_o sick_a servant_n and_o because_o he_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o outward_a mean_n supply_v gracious_o the_o defect_n of_o they_o by_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n unite_v he_o thereby_o unto_o jesus_n christ_n that_o become_v a_o lively_a member_n of_o his_o body_n he_o may_v be_v make_v partaker_n of_o his_o righteousness_n death_n and_o obedience_n for_o his_o justification_n and_o so_o he_o may_v stand_v righteous_a in_o thy_o sight_n free_v he_o from_o the_o guilt_n and_o punishment_n of_o all_o his_o sin_n and_o sanctify_v he_o in_o his_o soul_n and_o body_n that_o either_o he_o may_v be_v fit_a to_o glorify_v thou_o on_o earth_n or_o to_o be_v glorify_v by_o thou_o in_o heaven_n if_o it_o be_v thy_o bless_a will_n restore_v he_o to_o his_o health_n and_o strength_n again_o that_o he_o may_v live_v to_o be_v a_o comfort_n unto_o his_o friend_n and_o a_o profitable_a instrument_n to_o set_v forth_o thy_o glory_n in_o the_o church_n and_o commonwealth_n but_o if_o thou_o be_v purpose_v to_o put_v a_o end_n to_o his_o day_n so_o fit_a and_o prepare_v he_o for_o thy_o kingdom_n as_o that_o he_o may_v live_v with_o thou_o eternal_o in_o glory_n and_o immortality_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o if_o the_o party_n be_v irrecoverable_o sick_a or_o ready_a to_o depart_v out_o of_o this_o world_n than_o we_o may_v in_o stead_n of_o pray_v for_o his_o restore_n to_o health_n make_v in_o his_o behalf_n these_o follow_a petition_n and_o see_v o_o lord_n thou_o have_v smite_v thy_o sick_a servant_n as_o we_o conceive_v irrecoverable_o and_o do_v now_o purpose_n to_o put_v a_o end_n unto_o the_o day_n of_o his_o pilgrimage_n we_o must_v humble_o beseech_v thou_o to_o prepare_v he_o for_o thy_o own_o kingdom_n wean_v his_o mind_n and_o affection_n from_o the_o world_n and_o earthly_a vanity_n where_o he_o be_v but_o a_o stranger_n and_o fix_v they_o whole_o upon_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a thing_n as_o it_o become_v a_o citizen_n of_o thy_o kingdom_n let_v he_o
