they_o think_v to_o be_v hear_v for_o their_o length_n whereas_o prayer_n consist_v not_o in_o length_n but_o strength_n which_o be_v to_o be_v have_v in_o the_o well_o compact_a collect_v of_o the_o church_n have_v you_o not_o hear_v some_o of_o these_o man_n in_o their_o extemporary_a exclamation_n or_o declamation_n rather_o for_o sometime_o their_o prayer_n be_v libel_n talk_v to_o god_n not_o only_o with_o that_o familiarity_n but_o homeliness_n that_o you_o will_v not_o have_v endure_v they_o to_o talk_v to_o you_o and_o perhaps_o they_o who_o stand_v now_o so_o much_o only_o for_o extemporary_a prayer_n and_o preach_v too_o in_o the_o church_n ere_o it_o be_v long_o for_o i_o see_v no_o reason_n why_o it_o may_v not_o hold_v in_o this_o as_o well_o as_o in_o the_o other_o two_o will_v venture_v and_o put_v in_o for_o extemporary_a sing_n in_o the_o church_n and_o then_o they_o will_v make_v themselves_o ridiculous_a indeed_o the_o sum_n of_o all_o be_v although_o thou_o give_v thyself_o never_o so_o much_o to_o private_a prayer_n which_o be_v well_o do_v yet_o do_v not_o neglect_v the_o public_a prayer_n of_o the_o church_n in_o the_o church_n which_o be_v here_o call_v the_o house_n not_o of_o knowledge_n righteousness_n mercy_n preach_v hear_v etc._n etc._n although_o it_o be_v all_o these_o but_o the_o house_n of_o prayer_n so_o that_o those_o man_n who_o do_v wilful_o excommunicate_v themselves_o by_o not_o come_v to_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o church_n but_o only_o to_o the_o sermon_n or_o usual_o go_v out_o of_o it_o before_o the_o blessing_n or_o last_o prayer_n be_v pronounce_v since_o the_o church_n be_v call_v the_o house_n of_o prayer_n they_o be_v like_o they_o who_o come_v unto_o a_o school_n but_o will_v not_o learn_v to_o a_o battle_n but_o will_v not_o fight_v to_o a_o bed_n but_o will_v not_o sleep_v to_o a_o feast_n but_o will_v not_o feed_v all_o which_o tend_v nothing_o to_o any_o derogation_n from_o private_a prayer_n for_o as_o god_n disperse_v the_o place_n of_o refuge_n throughout_o the_o land_n to_o his_o people_n so_o thick_a and_o at_o such_o distance_n as_o the_o offender_n may_v reach_v some_o of_o they_o by_o night_n lest_o they_o shall_v be_v over-taken_a by_o the_o avenger_n of_o their_o blood_n but_o yet_o appoint_v the_o temple_n for_o the_o only_a place_n whither_o afterward_o the_o offender_n be_v to_o resort_v and_o to_o expiate_v their_o offence_n by_o sacrifice_n so_o for_o our_o sin_n which_o we_o daily_o and_o hourly_o commit_v god_n allow_v and_o require_v we_o daily_o to_o have_v refuge_n to_o he_o by_o private_a prayer_n but_o so_o that_o we_o neglect_v not_o to_o reconcile_v ourselves_o to_o he_o for_o these_o sin_n by_o our_o public_a prayer_n in_o the_o temple_n which_o be_v the_o house_n of_o prayer_n for_o whosoever_o rob_v god_n and_o his_o temple_n of_o this_o honour_n which_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o in_o it_o do_v what_o in_o he_o lie_v in_o some_o sense_n to_o make_v the_o house_n of_o prayer_n a_o den_n of_o thief_n which_o be_v now_o the_o next_o point_n to_o be_v speak_v of_o i_o call_v it_o the_o church_n nicke-name_n but_o you_o have_v make_v it_o a_o den_n of_o thief_n in_o unfolding_a of_o which_o part_n if_o time_n have_v suffer_v i_o many_o will_v have_v be_v find_v thief_n and_o robber_n who_o pass_v for_o virtuous_a and_o honest_a man_n hardly_o will_v any_o pretence_n have_v serve_v their_o turn_n for_o the_o money-changer_n and_o dove-seller_n and_o the_o priest_n suffer_v they_o to_o sell_v in_o the_o court_n for_o it_o be_v in_o the_o atrium_n or_o court_n only_o that_o they_o sell_v not_o in_o the_o temple_n itself_o although_o it_o be_v here_o call_v so_o because_o it_o be_v consecrate_v and_o holy_a ground_n as_o the_o temple_n be_v have_v as_o specious_a a_o pretence_n for_o this_o their_o merchandize_v as_o may_v be_v even_o the_o pretence_n of_o that_o law_n deut._n 14._o 24._o whereby_o it_o be_v permit_v to_o the_o people_n for_o the_o more_o easy_a carriage_n to_o change_v their_o tithe_n and_o offering_n into_o money_n and_o with_o that_o money_n at_o jerusalem_n to_o buy_v the_o like_a now_o for_o this_o purpose_n to_o fit_v such_o people_n with_o sacrifice_n and_o offering_n do_v the_o priest_n pretend_v that_o they_o suffer_v the_o money-changer_n and_o dove-seller_n to_o set_v up_o their_o shop_n there_o although_o indeed_o they_o do_v it_o to_o get_v money_n for_o their_o stand_n and_o the_o shopkeeper_n to_o make_v gain_n of_o the_o people_n and_o therefore_o our_o saviour_n here_o call_v their_o get_n plain_o thou_o very_o and_o robbery_n but_o the_o time_n will_v not_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o arraign_v these_o thief_n now_o to_o god_n the_o father_n god_n the_o son_n god_n the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v ascribe_v all_o honour_n and_o praise_n now_o and_o ever_o amen_n finis_fw-la
