heresy_n to_o miscarry_v with_o my_o soul_n from_o this_o observation_n have_v i_o first_o gather_v the_o great_a fear_n i_o ought_v to_o have_v not_o to_o offend_v god_n fear_n fear_n but_o with_o all_o care_n to_o keep_v his_o commandment_n that_o i_o may_v not_o make_v frustrate_a my_o end_n like_v he_o of_o who_o the_o psalmist_n say_v qui_fw-la non_fw-la accepit_fw-la in_o vano_fw-la animam_fw-la svam_fw-la who_o have_v not_o receive_v his_o soul_n in_o vain_a 4._o psal_n 24._o vers_fw-la 4._o but_o with_o innocence_n of_o good_a work_n in_o his_o hand_n &_o pureness_n in_o his_o heart_n do_v ascend_v unto_o the_o mountain_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o stand_v in_o his_o holy_a place_n second_o i_o have_v also_o gather_v the_o great_a care_n i_o ought_v to_o have_v care_n care_n not_o to_o make_v any_o earthly_a or_o transitory_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n my_o chief_a end_n at_o which_o my_o action_n must_v aim_v as_o neither_o riches_n nor_o preferment_n nor_o ease_n nor_o health_n nor_o any_o earthly_a thing_n which_o can_v afford_v true_a contentment_n to_o the_o soul_n but_o rather_o to_o hazard_v the_o prejudice_n of_o all_o these_o than_o to_o ruinate_v my_o soul_n or_o to_o step_v out_o of_o the_o right_a way_n to_o heaven_n truth_n resolution_n to_o embrace_v the_o mean_n of_o the_o truth_n three_o i_o have_v also_o further_o from_o this_o observation_n of_o my_o end_n ground_v a_o most_o constant_a resolution_n not_o to_o neglect_v any_o occasion_n or_o labour_n of_o due_a search_n and_o examination_n into_o the_o main_a ground_n and_o principle_n of_o faith_n or_o any_o mean_n that_o may_v necessary_o conduce_v thereunto_o whereupon_o i_o have_v be_v always_o move_v to_o arm_v myself_o with_o fit_a reason_n wherewith_o i_o may_v not_o only_o establish_v my_o faith_n but_o be_v able_a also_o to_o defend_v it_o against_o all_o objection_n that_o may_v any_o way_n contradict_v it_o for_o the_o better_a performance_n whereof_o my_o purpose_n and_o practice_n have_v be_v often_o to_o meditate_v upon_o the_o happiness_n of_o the_o happy_a end_n whereunto_o we_o be_v all_o ordain_v by_o god_n so_o that_o this_o observation_n settle_v i_o in_o the_o true_a fear_n of_o god_n and_o in_o a_o due_a care_n of_o my_o salvation_n and_o in_o a_o constant_a resolution_n to_o apply_v myself_o unto_o all_o the_o mean_n and_o help_n that_o may_v facilitate_v i_o thereunto_o find_v here_o my_o step_n to_o stand_v as_o upon_o a_o strong_a rock_n i_o proceed_v forward_o with_o my_o understanding_n to_o behold_v and_o contemplate_v what_o fundamental_a observation_n i_o may_v set_v my_o next_o step_n upon_o as_o will_v appear_v in_o the_o chapter_n follow_v
