and_o plenteous_a redemption_n in_o the_o multitude_n therefore_o of_o thy_o mercy_n and_o by_o the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n i_o entreat_v thy_o divine_a majesty_n that_o thou_o will_v not_o enter_v into_o judgement_n with_o thy_o servant_n nor_o be_v extreme_a to_o mark_v what_o be_v do_v amiss_o but_o be_v thou_o merciful_a unto_o i_o and_o wash_v away_o all_o my_o sin_n and_o of_o my_o natural_a corruption_n and_o as_o thou_o do_v add_v day_n to_o my_o life_n so_o good_a lord_n i_o beseech_v thou_o to_o add_v repentance_n to_o my_o day_n that_o when_o i_o have_v pass_v this_o mortal_a life_n i_o may_v be_v partaker_n of_o thy_o heavenly_a kingdom_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o a_o prayer_n and_o confession_n in_o and_o for_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n almighty_a and_o most_o merciful_a father_n it_o be_v only_o thy_o goodness_n that_o admit_v of_o my_o imperfect_a prayer_n and_o the_o knowledge_n that_o thy_o mercy_n and_o of_o all_o man_n live_v i_o have_v need_n of_o and_o most_o reason_n so_o to_o do_v no_o man_n live_v have_v be_v so_o much_o oblige_v by_o thou_o for_o that_o degree_n of_o knowledge_n which_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o add_v likewise_o the_o guilt_n of_o my_o transgression_n for_o it_o be_v through_o fail_v and_o imperfection_n that_o i_o have_v so_o many_o way_n provoke_v thy_o gracious_a majesty_n to_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n against_o i_o but_o with_o shame_n and_o grief_n i_o confess_v that_o i_o have_v do_v amiss_o and_o deal_v wicked_o that_o therein_o i_o follow_v the_o persuasion_n of_o worldly_a wisdom_n forsake_v the_o dictate_v of_o a_o right_n inform_v conscience_n wherefore_o o_o lord_n i_o have_v no_o excuse_n to_o make_v no_o hope_n leave_v but_o in_o the_o multitude_n of_o thy_o mercy_n for_o i_o know_v my_o repentance_n be_v weak_a and_o my_o prayer_n be_v faulty_a grant_v therefore_o o_o most_o merciful_a father_n so_o to_o strengthen_v my_o repentance_n and_o amend_v my_o prayer_n that_o thou_o may_v clear_v the_o way_n for_o thy_o own_o mercy_n to_o which_o o_o let_v thy_o justice_n at_o last_o give_v place_n put_v a_o speedy_a end_n to_o my_o deserve_a affliction_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n give_v i_o patience_n to_o endure_v constancy_n against_o temptation_n and_o a_o discern_a spirit_n to_o choose_v what_o be_v best_a for_o thy_o glory_n and_o my_o comfort_n and_o the_o good_a of_o other_o grant_v this_o o_o most_o merciful_a father_n for_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n his_o sake_n our_o only_a saviour_n amen_n a_o prayer_n in_o time_n of_o captivity_n o_o powerful_a and_o eternal_a god_n to_o who_o nothing_o be_v so_o great_a that_o it_o may_v resist_v or_o so_o small_a that_o it_o be_v contemn_v look_v upon_o my_o misery_n with_o the_o eye_n of_o mercy_n and_o let_v thy_o infinite_a power_n vouchsafe_v to_o limit_v out_o some_o proportion_n of_o deliverance_n unto_o i_o as_o to_o thou_o shall_v seem_v justice_n but_o yet_o my_o god_n if_o in_o thy_o wisdom_n this_o be_v the_o apt_a castisement_n for_o my_o inexcusable_a transgression_n if_o this_o ungrateful_a bondage_n be_v fit_a for_o my_o over_o high_a desire_n if_o the_o pride_n of_o my_o not_o enough_o humble_a heart_n be_v to_o be_v thus_o break_v o_o lord_n i_o yield_v to_o thy_o will_n cheerful_o embrace_v what_o sorrow_n thou_o will_v have_v i_o suffer_v only_o thus_o much_o let_v i_o crave_v of_o thou_o let_v my_o crave_n o_o lord_n be_v acceptable_a unto_o thou_o since_o it_o even_o proceed_v from_o thou_o that_o by_o goodness_n which_o be_v thyself_o thou_o will_v suffer_v some_o beam_n of_o thy_o majesty_n so_o to_o shine_v in_o my_o heart_n that_o i_o who_o acknowledge_v it_o my_o noble_a title_n to_o be_v thy_o creature_n may_v still_o in_o my_o great_a affliction_n depend_v confident_o on_o thou_o let_v calamity_n be_v the_o exercise_n but_o not_o the_o overthrow_n of_o my_o virtue_n o_o let_v not_o their_o prevail_a power_n be_v to_o my_o destruction_n and_o if_o it_o be_v thy_o will_n that_o they_o more_o and_o more_o vex_v i_o with_o punishment_n yet_o o_o lord_n never_o let_v their_o wickedness_n have_v such_o a_o hand_n but_o that_o i_o may_v still_o carry_v a_o pure_a mind_n and_o a_o steadfast_a resolution_n ever_o to_o serve_v thou_o without_o fear_n or_o presumption_n yet_o with_o that_o humble_a confidence_n which_o may_v best_o please_v thou_o so_o that_o at_o the_o last_o i_o may_v come_v to_o thy_o eternal_a kingdom_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o thy_o son_n our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n amen_o a_o prayer_n to_o be_v say_v for_o the_o sick_a by_o they_o that_o visit_v he_o o_o merciful_a father_n who_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o giver_n of_o life_n to_o who_o belong_v the_o issue_n of_o death_n we_o thy_o child_n here_o assemble_v do_v acknowledge_v that_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o manifold_a sin_n we_o be_v not_o worthy_a to_o ask_v any_o blessing_n for_o fatherly_a hand_n we_o can_v glad_o wish_v the_o restauration_n of_o his_o health_n and_o a_o long_a continuance_n of_o his_o life_n and_o christian-fellowship_n among_o we_o but_o for_o as_o much_o as_o it_o appear_v as_o far_o as_o we_o can_v discern_v that_o thou_o have_v appoint_v by_o this_o visitation_n to_o call_v for_o he_o out_o of_o this_o mortal_a life_n we_o submit_v our_o will_n to_o thy_o bless_a will_n and_o humble_o entreat_v thou_o for_o jesus_n christ_n his_o sake_n and_o the_o merit_n of_o his_o bitter_a death_n and_o passion_n which_o he_o have_v suffer_v for_o he_o that_o thy_o presence_n as_o the_o east_n be_v from_o the_o west_n blot_v they_o out_o of_o the_o book_n of_o thy_o remembrance_n lay_v they_o not_o to_o his_o charge_n wash_v they_o away_o with_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n that_o they_o may_v never_o be_v more_o see_v and_o deliver_v he_o from_o all_o the_o judgement_n which_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o for_o all_o his_o sin_n that_o they_o may_v never_o trouble_v his_o conscience_n nor_o rise_v in_o judgement_n against_o his_o soul_n and_o impute_v unto_o he_o the_o righteousness_n of_o jesus_n christ_n whereby_o he_o may_v appear_v righteous_a in_o thy_o sight_n and_o in_o his_o extremity_n at_o this_o time_n we_o beseech_v thou_o look_v down_o from_o heaven_n upon_o he_o with_o those_o eye_n of_o grace_n and_o compassion_n wherewith_o thou_o be_v wont_a to_o look_v upon_o thy_o child_n in_o their_o affliction_n and_o misery_n pity_v thy_o wound_a servant_n like_o the_o good_a samaritan_n for_o here_o be_v a_o sick_a soul_n that_o need_v the_o help_n of_o such_o a_o heavenly_a physician_n o_o lord_n increase_v his_o faith_n that_o he_o may_v believe_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o he_o and_o that_o his_o blood_n
