these_o two_o to_o wit_n the_o more_o that_o light_n be_v offer_v our_o heart_n be_v the_o hard_a the_o more_o that_o light_n grow_v and_o knowledge_n increase_v conscience_n decay_v as_o if_o full_a and_o perfect_a nourishment_n for_o his_o soul_n then_o you_o see_v the_o reason_n wherefore_o there_o be_v two_o sign_n appoint_v in_o this_o sacrament_n and_o only_o one_o sign_n in_o baptism_n endure_v there_o remain_v yet_o concern_v these_o sign_n two_o thing_n to_o be_v inquire_v first_o what_o power_n have_v that_o bread_n in_o this_o sacrament_n to_o be_v a_o sign_n more_o than_o the_o bread_n which_o be_v use_v in_o common_a house_n from_o whence_o come_v that_o power_n next_o if_o it_o have_v a_o power_n how_o long_o endure_v and_o remain_v that_o power_n with_o the_o but_o look_v how_o soon_o the_o action_n be_v end_v so_o soon_o end_v the_o holiness_n of_o it_o look_v how_o soon_o the_o service_n of_o the_o table_n be_v end_v so_o soon_o that_o bread_n become_v common_a bread_n again_o and_o the_o holiness_n of_o it_o cease_v then_o this_o power_n continue_v not_o for_o ever_o but_o it_o continue_v only_o during_o the_o time_n of_o the_o action_n &_o service_n of_o the_o table_n thus_o far_o concern_v the_o element_n there_o be_v beside_o the_o element_n another_o sort_n of_o sign_n in_o the_o sacrament_n there_o be_v not_o a_o ceremony_n in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n but_o be_v a_o sign_n and_o have_v it_o own_o spiritual_a signification_n with_o it_o as_o namely_o look_v to_o the_o break_n of_o that_o bread_n it_o represent_v unto_o thou_o the_o break_n of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ._n not_o that_o his_o body_n and_o bone_n be_v break_v but_o that_o it_o be_v break_v with_o dolour_n with_o anguish_n and_o distress_n of_o heart_n with_o the_o weight_n of_o the_o indignation_n and_o fury_n of_o god_n that_o he_o sustain_v for_o our_o sin_n which_o he_o take_v upon_o he_o then_o the_o blood_n be_v the_o life_n and_o consequent_o it_o testify_v his_o death_n the_o pour_v out_o of_o the_o wine_n than_o tell_v thou_o that_o he_o die_v for_o thou_o that_o his_o blood_n be_v shed_v for_o thou_o so_o this_o be_v a_o essential_a ceremony_n which_o must_v not_o be_v leave_v out_o likewise_o the_o distribution_n give_v and_o eat_v be_v essential_a ceremony_n and_o what_o do_v the_o eat_n testify_v unto_o thou_o the_o apply_v of_o the_o body_n &_o blood_n of_o christ_n unto_o thy_o soul_n so_o that_o there_o be_v none_o of_o these_o rite_n but_o have_v their_o own_o signification_n and_o there_o can_v one_o of_o they_o be_v leave_v out_o but_o you_o shall_v pervert_v the_o whole_a action_n thus_o far_o concern_v the_o sign_n now_o what_o profit_n can_v you_o make_v of_o all_o this_o discourse_n learn_v this_o lesson_n observation_n and_o you_o shall_v make_v profit_n by_o these_o thing_n in_o respect_n that_o every_o sign_n and_o ceremony_n have_v it_o own_o spiritual_a signification_n so_o that_o there_o be_v not_o a_o ceremony_n in_o this_o whole_a action_n that_o want_v it_o own_o spiritual_a signification_n consider_v this_o and_o think_v with_o yourselves_o at_o that_o time_n especial_o when_o you_o be_v at_o the_o lord_n table_n and_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o that_o action_n that_o look_v what_o thou_o see_v the_o minister_n do_v outward_o what_o ever_o it_o be_v be_v he_o break_v that_o bread_n be_v he_o deal_v that_o bread_n think_v assure_o with_o thyself_o that_o christ_n be_v as_o busy_a do_v all_o these_o thing_n spiritual_o unto_o thy_o soul_n he_o be_v as_o busy_a give_v unto_o thou_o his_o own_o body_n with_o his_o own_o hand_n he_o be_v as_o busy_a give_v to_o thou_o his_o own_o blood_n with_o the_o virtue_n and_o efficacy_n of_o it_o so_o in_o this_o action_n if_o thou_o be_v a_o faithful_a communicant_a look_v what_o the_o mouth_n do_v and_o how_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o body_n be_v occupy_v outward_o so_o be_v the_o hand_n and_o mouth_n of_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v faith_n occupy_v inward_o as_o the_o mouth_n take_v that_o bread_n and_o that_o wine_n so_o the_o mouth_n of_o thy_o soul_n take_v the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o by_o faith_n for_o by_o faith_n and_o a_o constant_a persuasion_n be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o eat_v the_o body_n and_o drink_v the_o blood_n of_o christ_n inward_o and_o do_v this_o there_o can_v but_o follow_v a_o fruitful_a eat_n thus_o far_o for_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o sign_n now_o come_v in_o the_o matter_n wherein_o great_a conjunction_n they_o can_v be_v conjoin_v or_o will_v the_o nature_n of_o it_o
guilty_a of_o that_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v not_o receive_v they_o have_v not_o receive_v the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n therefore_o they_o can_v be_v guilty_a of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n but_o so_o it_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n say_v they_o be_v guilty_a therefore_o they_o have_v receive_v the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ._n i_o answer_v unto_o the_o a_o prince_n than_o a_o seal_n for_o the_o substance_n of_o it_o be_v but_o wax_n yet_o if_o thou_o disdainful_o use_v that_o seal_n and_o contemn_v it_o and_o stamp_v it_o under_o thy_o foot_n thou_o shall_v be_v esteem_v as_o guilty_a of_o his_o body_n and_o blood_n as_o he_o that_o lay_v violent_a hand_n on_o he_o and_o thou_o shall_v be_v punish_v according_o much_o more_o if_o thou_o come_v
