beget_v nor_o be_v beget_v and_o although_o to_o denote_v the_o order_n of_o work_v in_o the_o holy_a trinity_n creation_n be_v make_v the_o work_n of_o the_o father_n redemption_n the_o work_n of_o the_o son_n and_o sanctification_n the_o work_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n yet_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o all_o the_o work_n of_o the_o trinity_n out_o of_o itself_o be_v individed_a what_o of_o the_o son_n and_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n 2._o in_o the_o second_o place_n will_v christ_n go_v on_o in_o give_v to_o his_o saint_n more_o grace_n let_v not_o then_o those_o of_o little_a faith_n be_v discourage_v let_v not_o those_o that_o be_v strong_a despise_v the_o weak_a nor_o those_o who_o be_v weak_a be_v discourage_v and_o despond_v in_o themselves_o if_o the_o child_n of_o god_n have_v faith_n but_o as_o a_o grain_n of_o mustard_n seed_n it_o shall_v increase_v if_o it_o have_v but_o a_o stock_n of_o grace_n like_o the_o widow_n meal_n in_o the_o barrel_n and_o oil_n and_o from_o that_o readiness_n that_o be_v in_o christ_n and_o his_o promise_n to_o give_v to_o he_o that_o have_v so_o that_o he_o shall_v have_v more_o abundant_o from_o the_o promise_n of_o christ_n to_o the_o soul_n who_o cheek_n be_v already_o comely_a with_o row_v of_o jewel_n and_o chain_n of_o gold_n that_o he_o will_v make_v for_o it_o border_n of_o gold_n with_o spot_n or_o badge_n or_o stud_n of_o silver_n let_v true_a grace_n in_o the_o soul_n be_v never_o so_o faint_a and_o weak_a it_o be_v the_o seed_n of_o god_n it_o shall_v abide_v yea_o it_o shall_v grow_v and_o increase_v hypocrisy_n be_v always_o wither_v the_o hypocrite_n grow_v worse_a and_o worse_o his_o fair_a show_n and_o appearance_n daily_a decay_n but_o true_a grace_n be_v always_o grow_v christ_n be_v always_o add_v to_o it_o and_o indeed_o this_o be_v one_o thing_n which_o distinguish_v a_o sincerity_n and_o truth_n of_o grace_n from_o all_o the_o counterfeit_n of_o it_o a_o child_n of_o god_n be_v always_o grow_v better_a and_o better_o the_o lord_n be_v add_v to_o his_o spiritual_a habit_n wicked_a man_n and_o hypocrite_n be_v grow_v worse_a and_o worse_o 3_o in_o the_o last_o place_n this_o notion_n call_v to_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n 1._o for_o a_o admiration_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n towards_o they_o what_o a_o god_n do_v we_o serve_v what_o a_o saviour_n what_o a_o friend_n what_o a_o belove_a have_v every_o soul_n who_o soul_n sincere_o love_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o belove_a of_o your_o soul_n be_v not_o like_o another_o belove_v in_o himself_o he_o be_v not_o he_o be_v the_o chief_a of_o ten_o thousand_o he_o be_v altogether_o desire_n he_o be_v not_o to_o you_o as_o another_o belove_v he_o be_v unweariable_a in_o his_o act_n of_o grace_n and_o dispensation_n of_o goodness_n be_v there_o any_o soul_n here_o who_o iniquity_n be_v forgive_v who_o sin_n be_v cover_v who_o soul_n be_v regenerate_v renew_v through_o the_o of_o this_o love_n let_v our_o soul_n and_o all_o that_o be_v within_o we_o bless_v his_o holy_a name_n 2._o how_o do_v this_o notion_n call_v to_o we_o for_o all_o manner_n of_o holiness_n holiness_n lie_v in_o two_o thing_n 1._o the_o mortification_n of_o lust_n and_o sinful_a habit_n with_o the_o eschew_v and_o decline_v of_o sinful_a act_n which_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o those_o tree_n 2._o the_o exercise_n of_o godliness_n let_v i_o short_o press_v both_o from_o this_o notion_n of_o out_o belove_n be_v prepare_v still_o and_o make_v for_o we_o chain_n of_o gold_n and_o spot_n of_o silver_n i_o will_v begin_v with_o the_o 2d_o 1._o the_o exercise_n of_o ourselves_o unto_o godliness_n in_o all_o those_o positive_a duty_n which_o god_n require_v of_o we_o whether_o they_o may_v be_v more_o internal_a such_o as_o faith_n hope_n love_n or_o more_o external_a in_o our_o more_o external_a communion_n with_o god_n in_o prayer_n read_v hear_v his_o word_n receive_v his_o holy_a sacrament_n or_o in_o our_o conversation_n before_o and_o towards_o man_n i_o shall_v press_v these_o from_o this_o notion_n upon_o a_o twofold_a consideration_n 1._o these_o exercise_n be_v the_o way_n to_o keep_v christ_n still_o at_o work_n make_v for_o we_o these_o further_a ornament_n 2._o they_o be_v the_o wear_n and_o use_v of_o these_o ornament_n i_o say_v first_o these_o exercise_n will_v keep_v our_o lord_n hand_n continual_o at_o work_n so_o as_o he_o will_v never_o be_v weary_a but_o be_v still_o add_v to_o our_o ornament_n of_o grace_n i_o have_v have_v occasion_n often_o in_o my_o former_a discourse_n to_o hint_n to_o you_o that_o although_o god_n be_v engage_v by_o his_o covenant_n and_o faithfulness_n to_o bring_v the_o soul_n of_o believer_n to_o glory_n and_o consequent_o to_o give_v out_o to_o they_o such_o necessary_a supply_n of_o grace_n as_o shall_v make_v they_o meet_v for_o that_o inheritance_n yet_o he_o be_v at_o liberty_n as_o to_o the_o gradual_a manifestation_n of_o his_o grace_n to_o dispense_v they_o according_a to_o his_o own_o infinite_a wisdom_n and_o his_o people_n behaviour_n towards_o he_o and_o the_o promise_n of_o that_o
