for_o physic_n for_o that_o will_v not_o work_v in_o the_o extraordinary_a need_n of_o the_o body_n which_o be_v use_v as_o ordinary_a in_o the_o state_n and_o time_n of_o health_n 3_o he_o mark_v two_o thing_n common_o neglect_v he_o see_v that_o man_n be_v in_o danger_n of_o death_n will_v be_v pray_v for_o in_o the_o church_n but_o they_o will_v not_o have_v the_o church_n give_v sick_a thanks_n for_o their_o recovery_n again_o he_o see_v that_o woman_n will_v give_v thanks_n after_o their_o deliverance_n which_o be_v a_o christian_a duty_n well_o beseem_v they_o but_o they_o will_v not_o before_o ask_v the_o prayer_n of_o the_o church_n and_o see_v it_o be_v so_o rare_a a_o blessing_n to_o have_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o womb_n see_v sometime_o the_o mother_n sometime_o the_o child_n sometime_o both_o die_v and_o that_o the_o gift_n of_o both_o be_v a_o work_n pass_v the_o sun_n the_o moon_n and_o the_o star_n it_o be_v nothing_o superfluous_a or_o burdensome_a in_o such_o case_n to_o pray_v and_o to_o be_v thankful_a 4_o it_o be_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n join_v with_o mercy_n for_o the_o preserve_n of_o his_o child_n in_o humility_n and_o thankfulness_n if_o they_o forget_v to_o spy_v out_o and_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o their_o inward_a corruption_n either_o to_o let_v they_o fall_v into_o some_o sin_n to_o punish_v their_o pride_n and_o sway_v of_o their_o own_o wit_n or_o else_o which_o be_v his_o more_o merciful_a chastisement_n to_o break_v they_o with_o some_o cross_n until_o their_o heart_n be_v bruise_v hereof_o it_o come_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v constrain_v to_o correct_v our_o haughtiness_n and_o cool_v our_o courage_n by_o some_o kind_n of_o affliction_n because_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o break_v out_o in_o time_n of_o prosperity_n wherefore_o to_o cut_v off_o the_o occasion_n of_o sin_n which_o satan_n will_v find_v out_o in_o our_o proud_a flesh_n after_o long_a time_n of_o health_n the_o lord_n send_v prosperity_n some_o sickness_n or_o some_o weakness_n upon_o we_o to_o cut_v short_a our_o horn_n wherewith_o by_o reason_n of_o long_a wealth_n we_o will_v like_o bull_n of_o baâ—an_n push_v at_o the_o godly_a the_o to_o carry_v as_o humble_a and_o meek_a a_o heart_n and_o faithful_a a_o spirit_n as_o we_o will_v or_o ought_v to_o have_v even_o when_o we_o come_v out_o of_o some_o affliction_n so_o this_o of_o all_o the_o plague_n be_v the_o great_a to_o be_v prick_v and_o not_o to_o feel_v to_o be_v strike_v and_o not_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o it_o and_o yet_o it_o be_v no_o great_a commendation_n to_o be_v make_v better_o by_o affliction_n but_o this_o be_v the_o praise_n of_o godliness_n to_o grow_v on_o more_o in_o prosperity_n then_o not_o to_o forsake_v our_o first_o love_n then_o to_o enter_v into_o a_o lowly_a conceit_n of_o ourselves_o for_o as_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o a_o more_o liberal_a and_o ingenuous_a nature_n to_o learn_v more_o by_o lenity_n than_o by_o severity_n or_o if_o he_o slip_v to_o recover_v himself_o as_o careful_o at_o the_o sight_n of_o another_o correct_v before_o he_o as_o if_o he_o be_v beat_v himself_o so_o it_o be_v a_o token_n of_o a_o mind_n more_o reform_v to_o have_v a_o bruifed_a mind_n rather_o with_o the_o â—aste_n of_o god_n mercy_n than_o with_o the_o terror_n of_o his_o justice_n or_o if_o he_o see_v but_o a_o inkling_n of_o god_n the_o fruit_n of_o the_o least_o cross_n for_o if_o we_o break_v not_o our_o heart_n with_o a_o little_a affliction_n we_o shall_v afterward_o become_v blockish_a in_o great_a wherefore_o see_n it_o be_v a_o token_n of_o a_o melt_a heart_n to_o bleed_v at_o the_o least_o blow_n and_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o a_o senseless_a mind_n not_o to_o be_v touch_v until_o the_o sword_n have_v taste_v deep_o of_o our_o blood_n let_v we_o pray_v 1_o for_o the_o first_o grace_n of_o god_n child_n not_o to_o need_v to_o be_v correct_v or_o for_o the_o second_o to_o be_v 2_o the_o better_a by_o the_o least_o correction_n or_o at_o the_o least_o that_o the_o lord_n let_v we_o not_o go_v so_o far_o as_o neither_o prosperity_n nor_o adversity_n can_v do_v we_o good_a satan_n practice_n 1_o sathan_n be_v ready_a ever_o to_o make_v we_o most_o unwilling_a to_o that_o wherein_o the_o lord_n will_v most_o note_n use_v we_o to_o the_o great_a good_a of_o his_o church_n 2_o we_o must_v pray_v that_o and_o for_o his_o power_n be_v able_a even_o in_o great_a extremity_n to_o help_v we_o and_o for_o his_o love_n and_o good_a will_n towards_o we_o will_v help_v we_o and_o thus_o do_v he_o abide_v for_o ever_o and_o be_v never_o change_v for_o though_o a_o mother_n shall_v forget_v her_o child_n yet_o will_v the_o lord_n never_o forsake_v those_o that_o love_v he_o and_o in_o faith_n call_v together_o the_o leopard_n and_o the_o kid_n shall_v we_o ever_o doubt_v that_o he_o will_v once_o fail_v we_o or_o suffer_v we_o to_o want_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v meet_v for_o we_o seem_v it_o never_o so_o unpossible_a to_o be_v attain_v unto_o three_o if_o we_o believe_v that_o with_o christ_n we_o shall_v be_v raise_v up_o at_o the_o last_o day_n we_o shall_v as_o steadfast_o believe_v yet_o now_o if_o we_o shall_v not_o have_v the_o sun_n we_o will_v think_v that_o light_n be_v take_v from_o we_o and_o if_o we_o want_v rain_n we_o will_v soon_o think_v we_o shall_v neither_o have_v grass_n nor_o corn_n nor_o any_o fruit_n of_o the_o earth_n but_o the_o lord_n have_v ordain_v these_o mean_n to_o serve_v his_o providence_n not_o for_o himself_o for_o without_o they_o he_o can_v as_o easy_o help_v we_o but_o for_o our_o weakness_n which_o otherwise_o can_v not_o easy_o be_v assure_v of_o his_o goodness_n second_o 2_o we_o must_v believe_v that_o god_n preserve_v all_o as_o well_o as_o he_o create_v they_o yea_o the_o small_a sparrow_n do_v not_o fall_v upon_o the_o earth_n without_o his_o providence_n and_o he_o have_v a_o great_a care_n over_o the_o very_a beast_n of_o the_o field_n do_v the_o lord_n provide_v for_o these_o and_o will_v he_o not_o also_o provide_v for_o man_n have_v he_o care_n of_o beast_n yea_o indeed_o he_o have_v because_o they_o be_v make_v for_o man_n and_o shall_v he_o not_o much_o rather_o have_v care_n over_o man_n for_o who_o thing_n be_v make_v man_n say_v they_o do_v believe_v all_o this_o but_o while_o there_o be_v such_o doubt_v of_o god_n providence_n and_o such_o repine_n against_o god_n they_o do_v plain_o show_v they_o do_v not_o believe_v this_o first_o article_n of_o their_o faith_n neither_o in_o creation_n nor_o in_o more_o wonderful_a than_o the_o preservation_n be_v as_o appear_v psalm_n 29._o 139._o have_v he_o care_v over_o the_o wicked_a to_o do_v they_o good_a and_o will_v he_o not_o much_o more_o rejoice_v age_n who_o example_n be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o scripture_n that_o we_o by_o they_o may_v learn_v patience_n if_o the_o father_n before_o the_o flood_n eat_v nothing_o but_o herb_n yet_o live_v to_o bring_v up_o their_o child_n so_o as_o they_o either_o by_o some_o good_a token_n may_v see_v they_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o heir_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o at_o the_o least_o be_v comfort_v in_o their_o own_o conscience_n if_o the_o lord_n refuse_v their_o child_n for_o some_o cause_n unknown_a in_o that_o to_o their_o ability_n they_o have_v use_v all_o good_a mean_n to_o bring_v they_o up_o well_o and_o offer_v they_o to_o god_n and_o if_o parent_n have_v cause_n to_o be_v grieve_v when_o thus_o travail_v in_o good_a education_n they_o can_v see_v good_a in_o their_o child_n how_o much_o more_o cause_n of_o grief_n may_v they_o have_v when_o they_o have_v use_v no_o labour_n at_o all_o to_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o yet_o many_o will_v be_v grieve_v for_o the_o one_o that_o will_v not_o be_v grieve_v for_o the_o other_o wherefore_o let_v we_o learn_v if_o we_o will_v convey_v god_n blessing_n to_o our_o posterity_n to_o use_v all_o holy_a duty_n thereunto_o and_o on_o the_o contrary_a if_o we_o will_v be_v loath_a to_o convey_v god_n judgement_n to_o our_o child_n let_v we_o careful_o avoid_v all_o mean_n that_o lead_v
