hand_n cut_v off_o from_o that_o holy_a regiment_n 2._o the_o bloody_a mind_a man_n as_o he_o thirst_v greedy_o after_o blood_n so_o do_v he_o lie_v in_o wait_n privy_o for_o his_o prey_n partly_o and_o so_o prevent_v repentance_n may_v we_o not_o consider_v herein_o the_o malice_n of_o diasius_n the_o lawyer_n who_o in_o a_o deadly_a hatred_n to_o his_o brother_n soul_n first_o enforce_v he_o to_o deny_v his_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o then_o instant_o take_v away_o his_o life_n 3_o the_o murder_n in_o destroy_v his_o brother_n destroy_v himself_o not_o only_o in_o that_o his_o brother_n wasis_n own_o flesh_n but_o in_o that_o he_o necessary_o expose_v himself_o either_o to_o be_v his_o own_o butcher_n though_o the_o horror_n of_o his_o conscience_n as_o many_o have_v do_v or_o else_o just_o lie_v open_a to_o the_o sword_n of_o the_o magistrate_n who_o above_o all_o other_o sin_n will_v not_o suffer_v this_o unrevenged_a yea_o do_v not_o the_o murderer_n in_o sin_v willing_o &_o plot_v his_o cruelty_n with_o deliberation_n and_o desperatenes_n do_v he_o not_o herein_o common_o murder_v his_o own_o soul_n as_o exclude_v himself_o through_o this_o wilfulness_n the_o mercy_n of_o god_n what_o shall_v i_o speak_v of_o those_o fearful_a event_n that_o have_v follow_v the_o same_o have_v not_o the_o father_n murder_v the_o son_n come_v home_o as_o a_o stranger_n for_o lucre_n of_o his_o money_n &_o when_o he_o come_v to_o the_o notice_n thereof_o do_v he_o not_o first_o murder_v his_o wife_n that_o procure_v he_o thereto_o and_o afterward_o lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o himself_o and_o do_v not_o this_o accident_n bring_v his_o only_a daughter_n to_o a_o untimely_a end_n and_o so_o the_o whole_a root_n and_o branch_n be_v whole_o cut_v off_o utter_o and_o if_o here_o we_o shall_v consider_v that_o hereby_o many_o a_o wife_n have_v be_v deprive_v of_o her_o husband_n many_o child_n make_v orphan_n and_o so_o expose_v to_o all_o extremity_n do_v not_o the_o murderer_n make_v fair_a work_n for_o the_o devil_n and_o be_v not_o the_o common_a parent_n hereby_o deprive_v of_o many_o a_o good_a member_n do_v not_o the_o common_a mother_n hereby_o lament_v the_o loss_n of_o many_o a_o nurse_n father_n and_o so_o be_v expose_v to_o combustion_n and_o desolation_n behold_v here_o the_o heinousness_n of_o this_o sin_n by_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o object_n against_o which_o it_o be_v commit_v and_o may_v we_o not_o hereby_o also_o guess_v at_o it_o greatness_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o subject_n that_o commit_v the_o same_o 1_o be_v not_o the_o murderer_n a_o traitor_n in_o the_o high_a degree_n both_o commit_a treason_n against_o god_n who_o image_n he_o thus_o deface_v and_o be_v guilty_a of_o treason_n against_o his_o prince_n and_o country_n who_o he_o deprive_v of_o their_o guard_n and_o glory_n be_v not_o he_o a_o traitor_n to_o his_o brother_n in_o surprise_v he_o so_o cruel_o be_v he_o not_o a_o traitor_n against_o himself_o in_o betray_v his_o own_o life_n and_o soul_n hereby_o to_o the_o grave_n and_o destruction_n sure_o if_o of_o all_o other_o the_o hypocrite_n shall_v be_v beat_v with_o many_o stripe_n then_o must_v the_o murderer_n look_v for_o his_o full_a payment_n because_o he_o crowch_v and_o bow_v to_o onsnare_v his_o poor_a brother_n he_o kiss_v and_o betray_v fawn_v and_o stab_v salute_v and_o smite_v speak_v peaceable_o with_o his_o tongue_n when_o his_o hand_n be_v ready_a to_o shed_v blood_n and_o all_o this_o with_o a_o breath_n to_o take_v away_o breath_n and_o triumph_v more_o secure_o in_o image_n of_o god_n the_o murderer_n be_v a_o idolater_n in_o deface_v the_o image_n of_o god_n and_o set_v up_o the_o idol_n of_o revenge_n in_o his_o heart_n which_o he_o adore_v above_o all_o that_o be_v call_v god_n either_o god_n presence_n the_o magistrate_n sword_n god_n image_n in_o his_o brother_n his_o life_n in_o himself_o in_o a_o word_n as_o there_o be_v not_o any_o sin_n wherein_o the_o murderer_n have_v not_o a_o share_n so_o herein_o be_v his_o case_n most_o fearful_a and_o desperate_a that_o not_o sin_v of_o infirmity_n but_o of_o malice_n and_o digest_v hatred_n as_o herein_o horesemble_v his_o father_n the_o devil_n so_o hereby_o he_o cast_v himself_o desperate_o upon_o his_o malice_n to_o endure_v unquenchable_a torment_n for_o the_o recompense_n of_o his_o and_o confusion_n as_o shall_v appear_v most_o wonderful_o in_o the_o next_o chapter_n which_o before_o we_o enter_v into_o for_o conclusion_n of_o this_o present_a and_o preparation_n to_o the_o discovery_n a_o special_a case_n of_o conscience_n come_v here_o to_o be_v discuss_v and_o resolve_v namely_o that_o see_v murder_n be_v so_o cry_v a_o sin_n that_o it_o call_v for_o speedy_a and_o continual_a vengeance_n in_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o lord_n how_o notwithstanding_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o lord_n differ_v the_o discovery_n and_o recompenâ—e_n thereof_o many_o year_n yea_o age_n after_o that_o the_o lord_n do_v thus_o defer_v this_o discovery_n and_o execution_n be_v not_o only_o apparent_a by_o the_o cry_n of_o those_o soul_n under_o the_o altar_n slay_v for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n how_o long_a lord_n holy_a and_o true_a do_v thou_o not_o judge_v 9_o and_o avenge_v our_o blood_n on_o they_o that_o dwell_v upon_o the_o earth_n but_o also_o by_o the_o providence_n 1_o some_o may_v be_v give_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o murderer_n 2_o other_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o murder_a 3_o some_o concern_v the_o information_n of_o the_o world_n and_o 4_o some_o immediate_o concern_v god_n himself_o concern_v the_o murderer_n the_o providence_n of_o god_n be_v wonderful_a in_o defer_v the_o discovery_n of_o their_o sin_n even_o to_o a_o long_a time_n after_o for_o these_o reason_n some_o tend_v to_o their_o good_a other_o tend_v to_o their_o further_a condemnation_n those_o that_o tend_v to_o their_o good_a be_v first_o that_o by_o the_o patience_n of_o god_n in_o defer_v their_o discovery_n and_o vengeance_n they_o may_v be_v prepare_v mean_a while_n to_o repentance_n and_o so_o be_v better_o fit_v to_o what_o end_n the_o lord_n have_v appoint_v rom._n 4._o 2._o second_o by_o the_o patience_n of_o the_o lord_n towards_o they_o if_o they_o will_v not_o make_v use_n of_o it_o for_o themselves_o yet_o hereby_o they_o may_v be_v further_o serviceable_a for_o the_o common_a good_a in_o those_o place_n and_o calling_n wherein_o god_n have_v set_v they_o as_o for_o education_n of_o their_o posterity_n for_o the_o maintain_n of_o peace_n and_o order_n abroad_o yea_o happy_o for_o the_o save_n of_o other_o howsoever_o themselves_o be_v reprove_v so_o be_v judas_n a_o long_a time_n conceal_v from_o other_o though_o long_o before_o know_v to_o his_o master_n for_o the_o execution_n of_o his_o call_n and_o serve_v his_o lord_n therein_o reason_n tend_v to_o the_o condemnation_n of_o these_o bloodsucker_n be_v 1_o that_o the_o lord_n forbear_v the_o discovery_n of_o they_o not_o only_o to_o make_v they_o instrument_n of_o his_o further_a justice_n in_o pervert_v and_o harden_v other_o but_o also_o 2_o this_o forbearance_n be_v a_o mean_n to_o harden_v they_o in_o their_o sin_n and_o drown_v they_o in_o security_n that_o so_o their_o surprisal_n be_v more_o sudden_a may_v prove_v more_o deadly_a and_o fatal_a to_o they_o 3_o hereby_o they_o be_v also_o nourish_v in_o their_o atheism_n and_o contempt_n of_o god_n providence_n and_o so_o provoke_v the_o lord_n in_o due_a time_n to_o avenge_v himself_o in_o their_o confusion_n as_o for_o the_o murder_v there_o may_v be_v some_o reason_n of_o god_n silence_n and_o patience_n even_o in_o regard_n of_o they_o 1_o that_o the_o cry_n of_o blood_n from_o the_o earth_n so_o long_o defer_v to_o vengeance_n may_v be_v a_o symbol_n unto_o they_o of_o a_o answer_n from_o god_n at_o length_n because_o no_o cry_n shall_v be_v in_o vain_a which_o he_o have_v warrant_v in_o this_o word_n 2_o that_o the_o cry_n of_o blood_n though_o a_o long_a time_n defer_v yet_o at_o length_n answer_v may_v type_n unto_o they_o their_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a the_o case_n herein_o be_v much_o alike_o that_o as_o the_o blood_n though_o consume_v yet_o have_v a_o loud_a cry_n for_o vengeance_n and_o shall_v in_o due_a time_n be_v ease_v the_o inward_a pang_n and_o so_o to_o justify_v the_o lord_n even_o out_o of_o their_o own_o mouth_n 3_o last_o hereby_o the_o lord_n reserve_v unto_o himself_o alone_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n that_o when_o all_o side_n be_v hush_v y_z e_z murderer_n secure_a the_o murder_v forget_v the_o world_n careless_a all_o hope_n past_a then_o do_v the_o righteous_a lord_n make_v himself_o
