shall_v starve_v themselves_o for_o hunger_n other_o again_o shall_v come_v under_o death_n by_o natural_a disease_n even_o as_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o earth_n die_v so_o that_o death_n that_o ride_v upon_o the_o pale_a horse_n have_v power_n give_v as_o long_o as_o this_o world_n do_v last_o over_o all_o flesh_n that_o have_v life_n for_o it_o be_v life_n that_o must_v die_v and_o death_n must_v take_v it_o into_o his_o custody_n and_o swallow_v up_o life_n into_o the_o belly_n of_o death_n else_o he_o can_v be_v call_v death_n except_o death_n do_v utter_o annihilate_v life_n it_o can_v proper_o be_v call_v death_n for_o while_o life_n be_v in_o be_v death_n be_v utter_o annihilate_v in_o life_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o be_v for_o death_n at_o all_o not_o in_o that_o man_n body_n but_o when_o death_n enter_v into_o that_o man_n blood_n who_o be_v so_o full_a of_o life_n before_o then_o death_n grow_v more_o and_o more_o in_o the_o blood_n and_o eat_v up_o the_o life_n quite_o into_o death_n so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o be_v see_v in_o all_o that_o life_n but_o a_o dead_a body_n for_o death_n have_v get_v the_o life_n of_o that_o body_n in_o the_o body_n for_o the_o body_n be_v life_n before_o as_o well_o as_o the_o soul_n but_o death_n have_v overcome_v they_o both_o they_o be_v both_o swallow_v up_o of_o death_n so_o that_o you_o may_v see_v death_n as_o he_o be_v as_o you_o do_v see_v life_n as_o he_o be_v before_o and_o not_o that_o the_o life_n go_v out_o of_o the_o body_n as_o man_n do_v vain_o imagine_v so_o that_o death_n be_v he_o that_o ride_v upon_o the_o pale_a horse_n as_o i_o show_v before_o and_o these_o four_o horse_n as_o john_n speak_v of_o in_o his_o vision_n be_v the_o same_o horse_n as_o zechariah_n speak_v of_o in_o his_o vision_n zechariah_n the_o 6_o and_o the_o 3_o verse_n the_o prophet_n see_v in_o his_o vision_n four_o charret_n and_o horse_n the_o first_o chariot_n have_v red_a horse_n and_o the_o second_o have_v black_a horse_n and_o the_o three_o have_v white_a horse_n and_o the_o four_o have_v grizzle_v and_o bay_a horse_n now_o the_o prophet_n express_v in_o his_o vision_n the_o horse_n in_o the_o plural_a number_n to_o be_v more_o horse_n than_o one_o of_o a_o sort_n but_o john_n declare_v they_o in_o his_o vision_n in_o the_o singular_a number_n therefore_o though_o there_o be_v more_o express_v by_o the_o prophet_n yet_o the_o matter_n and_o substance_n be_v all_o one_o for_o all_o horse_n be_v comprise_v under_o those_o four_o so_o that_o there_o need_v no_o further_o open_v of_o the_o horse_n than_o there_o have_v be_v for_o there_o be_v enough_o say_v concern_v those_o four_o horse_n and_o their_o rider_n to_o satisfy_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n but_o if_o one_o shall_v speak_v never_o so_o much_o the_o seed_n of_o reason_n will_v not_o be_v satisfy_v only_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n not_o to_o scruple_n because_o the_o prophet_n call_v the_o four_o horse_n grizzle_v and_o bay_a when_o as_o john_n call_v it_o a_o pale_a horse_n for_o grizzle_v do_v signify_v death_n sit_v upon_o the_o life_n as_o paleness_n do_v so_o that_o the_o thing_n be_v all_o one_o though_o differ_v something_o in_o word_n so_o that_o there_o need_v be_v no_o further_a interpretation_n upon_o those_o four_o horse_n therefore_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o they_o and_o come_v to_o the_o next_o thing_n of_o concernment_n chap._n xix_o in_o the_o 9_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n at_o the_o open_n of_o the_o five_o seal_n john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n the_o soul_n of_o they_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o for_o the_o testimony_n which_o they_o hold_v now_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o consider_v that_o vision_n do_v many_o time_n present_a to_o he_o that_o see_v it_o thing_n that_o be_v at_o a_o distance_n and_o far_o off_o as_o at_o present_a or_o near_o at_o hand_n as_o if_o the_o thing_n be_v in_o present_a be_v this_o have_v be_v the_o usual_a custom_n of_o those_o that_o write_v those_o vision_n in_o the_o scripture_n they_o be_v present_v to_o the_o choose_a prophet_n and_o messenger_n of_o the_o most_o high_a god_n those_o vision_n so_o present_v be_v to_o signify_v either_o some_o extraordinary_a happiness_n and_o deliverance_n to_o a_o particular_a person_n or_o people_n or_o nation_n or_o else_o some_o great_a judgement_n and_o destruction_n to_o a_o person_n people_n or_o nation_n in_o the_o temporal_a as_o aforesaid_a or_o else_o vision_n be_v present_v to_o the_o understanding_n of_o man_n to_o signify_v spiritual_a and_o eternal_a blessing_n to_o a_o number_n of_o people_n or_o else_o to_o signify_v spiritual_a and_o eternal_a misery_n unto_o a_o number_n of_o people_n so_o that_o what_o vision_n be_v declare_v by_o choose_a man_n of_o god_n though_o the_o thing_n be_v not_o immediate_o at_o hand_n whether_o the_o vision_n do_v signify_v temporal_a or_o spiritual_a thing_n yet_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n do_v look_v upon_o it_o as_o if_o it_o be_v in_o present_a be_v because_o they_o believe_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o thing_n as_o those_o prophet_n of_o old_a do_v prophesy_v of_o christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n as_o isaiah_n say_v in_o the_o 9_o chapter_n to_o we_o a_o child_n be_v bear_v and_o to_o we_o a_o son_n be_v give_v meaning_n christ_n etc._n etc._n now_o the_o prophet_n say_v he_o be_v bear_v when_o as_o he_o be_v not_o borâ—_n many_o hundred_o year_n after_o that_o and_o so_o other_o of_o the_o prophet_n look_v upon_o the_o birth_n of_o christ_n the_o that_o be_v upon_o the_o persecutor_n that_o dwell_v on_o the_o earth_n now_o i_o will_v have_v you_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o understand_v how_o these_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n can_v cry_v for_o vengeance_n see_v they_o be_v dead_a under_o the_o altar_n and_o yet_o be_v say_v to_o cry_v aloud_o for_o vengeance_n on_o they_o that_o persecute_v and_o put_v they_o to_o death_n the_o meaning_n be_v this_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o those_o that_o be_v slay_v for_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n it_o do_v cry_v virtual_o and_o efficacious_o unto_o god_n that_o he_o will_v avenge_v it_o according_a to_o his_o will_n and_o promise_n and_o so_o god_n do_v hear_v the_o cry_n of_o their_o blood_n that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n i_o say_v god_n do_v hear_v their_o cry_n as_o he_o do_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n it_o come_v up_o unto_o god_n as_o in_o gen._n 3._o and_o 10._o and_o god_n say_v unto_o cain_n what_o have_v thou_o do_v the_o voice_n of_o thy_o brother_n blood_n cry_v unto_o i_o from_o the_o ground_n so_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n do_v cry_v from_o the_o ground_n unto_o the_o lord_n for_o vengeance_n and_o who_o must_v the_o righteous_a judge_n be_v avenge_v of_o but_o he_o that_o shed_v his_o brother_n blood_n and_o in_o this_o manner_n do_v the_o soul_n of_o they_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o testimony_n they_o hold_v cry_v for_o vengeance_n upon_o those_o that_o persecute_a and_o put_v they_o to_o death_n so_o that_o you_o the_o seed_n of_o reason_n may_v see_v that_o there_o be_v power_n in_o blood_n that_o be_v shed_v for_o conscience_n sake_n in_o point_n of_o worship_n to_o cry_v unto_o the_o lord_n for_o vengeance_n upon_o those_o that_o do_v murder_n and_o kill_v upon_o that_o account_n and_o no_o persecutor_n of_o that_o nature_n will_v escape_v vengeance_n to_o come_v no_o more_o than_o cain_n do_v escape_v that_o slay_v his_o brother_n for_o the_o blood_n of_o those_o that_o be_v slay_v in_o such_o a_o
case_n as_o aforesaid_a will_v speak_v no_o better_a thing_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n but_o the_o very_a same_o thing_n will_v cry_v aloud_o for_o vengeance_n as_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n and_o as_o their_o blood_n do_v that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n as_o john_n see_v in_o his_o vision_n therefore_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v say_v to_o speak_v better_a thing_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n but_o this_o i_o must_v tell_v you_o it_o speak_v better_a thing_n to_o those_o that_o have_v faith_n in_o his_o death_n and_o so_o be_v wash_v by_o faith_n in_o his_o blood_n to_o those_o it_o speak_v peace_n joy_n life_n and_o salvation_n to_o the_o soul_n and_o these_o be_v better_a thing_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n or_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o saint_n which_o speak_v to_o the_o soul_n fear_n horror_n death_n and_o eternal_a damnation_n these_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n and_o all_o innocent_a blood_n do_v speak_v and_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n will_v speak_v the_o same_o thing_n as_o abel_n blood_n do_v to_o those_o that_o persecute_a and_o put_v he_o to_o death_n at_o that_o time_n so_o that_o according_a to_o the_o serpent_n desire_n his_o blood_n will_v be_v upon_o they_o and_o their_o child_n for_o the_o serpent_n child_n be_v those_o that_o walk_v in_o the_o step_n of_o their_o father_n and_o as_o they_o that_o put_v he_o to_o death_n be_v the_o seed_n of_o cain_n their_o father_n as_o christ_n say_v to_o those_o jew_n that_o seek_v his_o life_n he_o say_v unto_o they_o you_o be_v of_o your_o father_n the_o devil_n and_o his_o work_n you_o do_v for_o he_o be_v a_o murderer_n and_o a_o liar_n from_o the_o beginning_n and_o who_o be_v he_o that_o do_v the_o first_o murder_n be_v it_o not_o cain_n and_o they_o be_v his_o child_n and_o all_o persecute_v man_n since_o have_v be_v their_o child_n and_o in_o persecute_v the_o innocent_a saint_n they_o justify_v the_o deed_n of_o their_o father_n that_o persecute_a christ_n and_o their_o persecute_v of_o christ_n in_o so_o do_v they_o justify_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o devil_n their_o father_n that_o slay_v the_o prophet_n and_o cain_n that_o slay_v abel_n the_o grandfather_n of_o all_o persecute_v devil_n for_o worship_v of_o god_n contrary_a to_o the_o tradition_n of_o their_o father_n so_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o righteous_a abel_n the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o saint_n will_v be_v upon_o the_o conscience_n of_o the_o persecute_v seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n and_o upon_o their_o child_n who_o walk_v in_o the_o step_n of_o their_o grandfather_n cain_n and_o this_o have_v and_o will_v be_v fulfil_v upon_o all_o the_o child_n of_o those_o persecute_v jew_n which_o put_v christ_n to_o death_n so_o that_o his_o blood_n will_v be_v upon_o they_o and_o their_o child_n for_o these_o be_v their_o child_n and_o may_v be_v call_v so_o who_o be_v the_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n who_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n of_o their_o father_n who_o do_v kill_v the_o lord_n of_o life_n and_o so_o his_o blood_n will_v be_v upon_o they_o and_o their_o child_n as_o they_o do_v desire_v so_o that_o his_o blood_n do_v cry_v as_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n do_v for_o eternal_a vengeance_n for_o none_o will_v shed_v blood_n upon_o that_o account_n but_o the_o serpent_n or_o devil_n and_o those_o that_o be_v his_o child_n so_o that_o you_o who_o understanding_n be_v enlighten_v may_v see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o virtue_n and_o power_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o righteous_a man_n which_o be_v saint_n who_o suffer_v for_o the_o true_a declaration_n and_o worship_n of_o god_n to_o cry_v unto_o the_o lord_n for_o vengeance_n upon_o those_o that_o shed_v their_o blood_n and_o the_o lord_n will_v hear_v the_o cry_n of_o blood_n more_o than_o he_o will_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o saint_n before_o his_o blood_n be_v shed_v for_o the_o very_a deed_n of_o murder_n for_o religion_n sake_n have_v the_o reward_n of_o vengeance_n in_o it_o so_o that_o god_n the_o rightous_a judge_n must_v needs_o do_v right_a to_o reward_v every_o one_o according_a to_o his_o work_n so_o that_o the_o suffering_n of_o persecution_n and_o death_n for_o truth_n sake_n as_o these_o saint_n do_v as_o john_n speak_v of_o shall_v have_v a_o bless_a reward_n as_o be_v say_v in_o the_o 11_o verse_n those_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o testimony_n they_o hold_v they_o have_v white_a robe_n give_v unto_o every_o one_o of_o they_o and_o it_o be_v say_v to_o they_o rest_v yet_o for_o a_o little_a season_n until_o their_o fellow_n servant_n also_o and_o their_o brethren_n that_o shall_v be_v kill_v as_o they_o be_v shall_v be_v fulfil_v so_o that_o you_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n may_v know_v that_o these_o soul_n that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n be_v not_o yet_o in_o heaven_n neither_o be_v those_o white_a robe_n which_o cry_v for_o vengeance_n must_o still_o in_o the_o earth_n and_o rest_n a_o season_n until_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n have_v pass_v from_o death_n as_o you_o have_v so_o that_o god_n may_v raise_v you_o all_o together_o and_o clothe_v you_o all_o with_o white_a robe_n of_o righteousness_n and_o immortality_n and_o glory_n at_o the_o resurrection_n at_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o you_o may_v all_o be_v reward_v and_o clothe_v with_o white_a robe_n together_o and_o not_o some_o serve_v this_o year_n and_o other_o some_o the_o next_o but_o you_o shall_v all_o be_v happy_a together_o so_o that_o you_o must_v rest_v yet_o a_o little_a season_n until_o all_o thing_n be_v accomplish_v and_o then_o i_o will_v bless_v you_o with_o a_o everlasting_a crown_n of_o life_n because_o you_o suffer_v death_n for_o my_o name_n in_o witness_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v avenge_v your_o blood_n upon_o i_o and_o your_o enemy_n that_o persecute_v and_o put_v i_o and_o you_o to_o death_n they_o shall_v have_v their_o reward_n also_o which_o reward_n of_o their_o deed_n will_v amount_v to_o no_o less_o than_o to_o eternal_a damnation_n where_o the_o black_a and_o dark_a fire_n of_o hell_n shall_v burn_v in_o their_o soul_n to_o eternity_n which_o shall_v cause_v they_o to_o cry_v oh_o the_o eternity_n the_o eternity_n with_o sorrow_n pain_n and_o shame_n and_o when_o you_o saint_n shall_v receive_v your_o eternal_a joy_n then_o shall_v your_o enemy_n receive_v their_o eternal_a sorrow_n which_o be_v not_o yet_o neither_o will_v it_o be_v until_o all_o thing_n be_v fulfil_v which_o the_o scripture_n have_v foretell_v of_o which_o can_v be_v long_o as_o man_n do_v vain_o imagine_v because_o the_o true_a witness_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v now_o extant_a in_o the_o world_n who_o have_v declare_v and_o make_v manifest_v the_o mystery_n of_o the_o true_a god_n become_v flesh_n and_o what_o the_o right_a devil_n be_v with_o many_o other_o and_o the_o creator_n also_o in_o his_o vision_n he_o see_v christ_n sit_v upon_o the_o throne_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o son_n and_o as_o he_o suffer_v death_n and_o so_o redeem_v mankind_n and_o in_o like_a manner_n he_o and_o the_o elder_n give_v thanks_o and_o praise_n unto_o he_o as_o he_o be_v the_o creator_n and_o sometime_o they_o give_v thanks_o unto_o he_o all_o together_o as_o he_o be_v the_o redeemer_n yet_o all_o but_o one_o god_n however_o it_o do_v seem_v by_o john_n vision_n as_o if_o there_o be_v two_o when_o as_o it_o be_v speak_v with_o relation_n to_o a_o twofold_a state_n and_o condition_n in_o god_n but_o who_o can_v understand_v but_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n therefore_o i_o will_v not_o have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o stumble_v at_o these_o say_n of_o john_n which_o do_v here_o and_o there_o speak_v as_o if_o there_o be_v two_o go_n but_o consider_v he_o speak_v it_o but_o by_o way_n of_o vision_n and_o all_o vision_n can_v never_o be_v understand_v so_o clear_a and_o plain_a as_o interpretation_n be_v for_o i_o be_o certain_a that_o john_n do_v believe_v in_o no_o other_o god_n but_o one_o even_o jesus_n christ_n the_o only_a wise_a god_n bless_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o though_o speak_v of_o with_o relation_n to_o a_o twofold_a condition_n as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o this_o book_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n right_a hand_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o father_n i_o declare_v it_o be_v the_o book_n of_o life_n wherein_o be_v write_v the_o name_n of_o all_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o all_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o of_o all_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n i_o say_v the_o elect_a seed_n be_v all_o write_v in_o that_o book_n of_o life_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n right_a hand_n and_o the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o this_o book_n they_o be_v the_o seven_o visible_a church_n of_o asia_n that_o be_v they_o be_v seal_v up_o by_o the_o doctrine_n and_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o receive_v the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n whereby_o they_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o soul_n with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n that_o they_o be_v redeem_v unto_o eternal_a happiness_n by_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n and_o this_o i_o say_v that_o the_o witness_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o conscience_n here_o in_o mortality_n it_o be_v but_o a_o seal_n up_o to_o the_o day_n of_o glory_n therefore_o what_o assurance_n witness_n or_o seal_v soever_o a_o man_n have_v in_o his_o soul_n in_o this_o life_n it_o be_v call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n but_o a_o seal_n on_o the_o back_n side_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o those_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n be_v seal_v with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n in_o that_o they_o believe_v the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o resurrection_n and_o so_o they_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o heart_n with_o the_o assurance_n of_o eternal_a life_n their_o name_n be_v write_v within_o the_o book_n of_o life_n and_o because_o there_o be_v seven_o church_n of_o asia_n which_o do_v true_o believe_v and_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o soul_n with_o the_o assurance_n of_o everlasting_a life_n they_o be_v call_v seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o all_o seal_n of_o this_o side_n of_o death_n it_o be_v call_v but_o seal_v on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o it_o be_v much_o like_a unto_o a_o book_n or_o letter_n the_o matter_n and_o substance_n be_v within_o the_o letter_n or_o book_n but_o the_o seal_n be_v without_o or_o on_o the_o backside_n but_o he_o that_o break_v open_v the_o seal_n of_o the_o letter_n or_o book_n he_o see_v what_o be_v within_o so_o be_v it_o with_o christ_n he_o have_v the_o book_n of_o life_n in_o his_o right_a hand_n wherein_o the_o elect_a seed_n be_v write_v and_o the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n which_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n have_v and_o as_o other_o have_v be_v call_v the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n which_o no_o man_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n can_v open_v the_o book_n nor_o loose_v the_o seal_n thereof_o but_o christ_n as_o he_o be_v god_n and_o redeemer_n you_o that_o have_v faith_n may_v see_v what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o book_n and_o by_o the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n etc._n etc._n chap._n xii_o in_o the_o second_o verse_n john_n see_v a_o strong_a angel_n proclaim_v with_o a_o loud_a voice_n who_o be_v worthy_a to_o open_v the_o book_n and_o to_o loose_v the_o seal_v thereof_o and_o in_o the_o three_o verse_n and_o no_o man_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n neither_o under_o the_o earth_n be_v able_a to_o open_v the_o book_n neither_o to_o look_v thereon_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o these_o two_o verse_n there_o be_v but_o little_a matter_n of_o concernment_n in_o they_o but_o i_o shall_v go_v to_o the_o 4_o of_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n now_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v that_o john_n do_v mean_v exact_o such_o a_o number_n and_o no_o more_o that_o be_v seal_v but_o if_o the_o spirit_n of_o revelation_n will_v call_v a_o hundred_o hundred_o thousand_o but_o a_o hundred_o and_o forty_o four_o thousand_o who_o shall_v gainsay_v it_o but_o in_o regard_n there_o be_v a_o equal_a number_n speak_v of_o by_o john_n of_o every_o tribe_n it_o be_v according_a to_o reason_n account_v no_o more_o than_o one_o hundred_o forty_o and_o four_o thousand_o that_o be_v seal_v of_o the_o twelve_o the_o time_n of_o the_o apostle_n commission_n which_o do_v last_o a_o matter_n of_o three_o hundred_o year_n than_o be_v all_o tongue_n nation_n kindred_n and_o people_n bring_v to_o the_o faith_n of_o jesus_n and_o these_o be_v that_o great_a multitude_n which_o john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n which_o no_o man_n can_v number_v these_o be_v those_o that_o john_n see_v stand_v before_o the_o throne_n and_o before_o the_o lamb_n these_o be_v those_o he_o see_v clothe_v in_o white_a robe_n now_o what_o these_o white_a robe_n be_v i_o have_v show_v before_o not_o but_o that_o there_o have_v and_o will_v be_v many_o thousand_o of_o the_o gentile_n tongue_n and_o nation_n since_o that_o time_n that_o will_v be_v save_v but_o these_o that_o john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n it_o be_v chief_o those_o saint_n in_o the_o apostle_n commission_n and_o it_o be_v they_o that_o he_o see_v in_o the_o 10_o verse_n to_o cry_v with_o a_o loud_a voice_n say_v salvation_n to_o our_o god_n which_o sit_v upon_o the_o throne_n and_o unto_o the_o lamb._n and_o in_o the_o 11_o verse_n all_o the_o angel_n stand_v round_o about_o the_o throne_n and_o about_o the_o elder_n and_o the_o four_o beast_n so_o that_o all_o the_o holy_a angel_n and_o the_o elder_n and_o the_o four_o beast_n fall_v on_o their_o face_n and_o worship_v god_n so_o that_o the_o angel_n and_o elder_n and_o the_o four_o beast_n have_v face_n else_o they_o can_v not_o fall_v on_o their_o face_n to_o worship_n god_n for_o god_n have_v a_o face_n of_o his_o own_o and_o those_o that_o worship_v he_o must_v have_v face_n also_o else_o they_o can_v worship_v god_n also_o they_o must_v have_v a_o tongue_n to_o say_v blessing_n and_o glory_n and_o wisdom_n thanksgiving_n and_o honour_n and_o power_n and_o might_n be_v unto_o our_o god_n for_o ever_o and_o ever_o amen_n so_o that_o angel_n elder_n and_o those_o four_o beast_n have_v tongue_n to_o praise_v the_o live_a god_n now_o john_n be_v in_o a_o great_a amaze_n in_o the_o vision_n to_o see_v such_o a_o innumerable_a multitude_n which_o no_o man_n can_v number_v to_o stand_v before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n all_o in_o white_a robe_n he_o in_o the_o 14_o verse_n ask_v one_o of_o the_o elder_n what_o these_o be_v that_o be_v array_v in_o white_a robe_n and_o he_o say_v unto_o john_n these_o be_v they_o which_o come_v out_o of_o great_a tribulation_n and_o have_v wash_v their_o robe_n and_o make_v they_o white_a in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n now_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o white_a robe_n and_o be_v wash_v in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb_n i_o have_v show_v before_o and_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o throne_n so_o that_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o seven_o chapter_n it_o be_v only_o to_o signify_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o redeem_a one_o who_o be_v and_o be_v wash_v in_o their_o soul_n here_o in_o this_o life_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n they_o shall_v serve_v he_o day_n and_o night_n in_o his_o temple_n in_o heaven_n and_o stand_v before_o his_o throne_n of_o glory_n where_o he_o be_v neither_o shall_v there_o be_v any_o more_o hunger_n nor_o thirst_n neither_o shall_v the_o heat_n of_o persecution_n light_v any_o more_o upon_o they_o nor_o the_o natural_a sun_n to_o offend_v they_o any_o more_o by_o its_o extreme_a heat_n for_o in_o this_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n where_o the_o lamb_n be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o throne_n he_o shall_v feed_v they_o and_o shall_v lead_v they_o unto_o live_a fountain_n of_o water_n and_o god_n shall_v wipe_v away_o all_o tear_n from_o their_o eye_n this_o be_v that_o glorious_a and_o happy_a condition_n that_o all_o the_o saint_n shall_v have_v who_o have_v get_v those_o white_a robe_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n be_v wash_v in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n and_o this_o will_v be_v at_o the_o end_n of_o time_n yet_o faith_n do_v look_v upon_o this_o condition_n immediate_o after_o the_o end_n of_o this_o natural_a life_n therefore_o say_v by_o john_n as_o if_o the_o thing_n be_v already_o do_v and_o accomplish_v to_o he_o and_o to_o every_o one_o that_o be_v go_v out_o of_o this_o world_n it_o be_v so_o but_o to_o we_o that_o be_v alive_a it_o be_v not_o yet_o accomplish_v so_o much_o for_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o seven_o chapter_n chap._n xxii_o the_o eight_o chapter_n in_o the_o first_o verse_n it_o be_v say_v and_o when_o he_o have_v open_v the_o seven_o seal_n there_o be_v silence_n in_o heaven_n about_o the_o space_n of_o half_a a_o hour_n now_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v that_o these_o seven_o seal_n which_o be_v open_v in_o heaven_n they_o be_v those_o seven_o seal_n that_o be_v on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n as_o i_o show_v before_o which_o be_v the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n likewise_o it_o be_v christ_n that_o do_v open_v the_o seven_o seal_n and_o at_o the_o open_n of_o every_o seal_n john_n see_v some_o extraordinary_a sight_n in_o heaven_n either_o destruction_n upon_o the_o wicked_a and_o persecution_n upon_o the_o saint_n or_o blessing_n upon_o the_o saint_n so_o that_o the_o open_n of_o every_o seal_n produce_v something_o new_a to_o john_n in_o his_o vision_n but_o in_o the_o open_n of_o the_o seven_o seal_n there_o be_v silence_n in_o heaven_n about_o the_o space_n of_o half_a a_o hour_n that_o be_v there_o be_v a_o little_a space_n of_o time_n between_o the_o open_n of_o the_o other_o six_o seal_n before_o this_o seven_o seal_n be_v open_v so_o that_o john_n have_v some_o little_a space_n of_o time_n before_o the_o open_n of_o the_o seven_o seal_n be_v show_v unto_o he_o and_o this_o be_v that_o he_o call_v silence_n in_o heaven_n about_o the_o space_n of_o half_a a_o hour_n it_o may_v be_v forty_o hour_n for_o aught_o we_o know_v but_o if_o he_o say_v half_a a_o hour_n who_o shall_v gainsay_v it_o but_o sure_o i_o be_o it_o be_v a_o little_a space_n of_o time_n between_o the_o open_n of_o the_o other_o six_o seal_n before_o the_o seven_o seal_n be_v open_v unto_o his_o understanding_n for_o he_o make_v no_o stop_n in_o open_v the_o six_o seal_n before_o and_o as_o there_o be_v something_o do_v follow_v upon_o the_o open_n of_o every_o one_o of_o the_o six_o seal_n so_o there_o do_v follow_v something_o upon_o the_o open_n of_o the_o seven_o seal_n for_o in_o the_o 2_o verse_n john_n see_v the_o seven_o angel_n which_o stand_v before_o god_n and_o to_o they_o be_v give_v seven_o trumpet_n these_o seven_o angel_n which_o john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n i_o declare_v they_o be_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n these_o be_v those_o seven_o angel_n which_o john_n do_v write_v unto_o as_o i_o say_v before_o for_o these_o seven_o angel_n which_o john_n do_v write_v unto_o in_o the_o second_o chapter_n it_o be_v to_o signify_v those_o great_a tribulation_n and_o suffering_n that_o the_o ministry_n and_o the_o church_n themselves_o shall_v undergo_v but_o in_o the_o eight_o chapter_n john_n see_v these_o seven_o angel_n which_o be_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n in_o another_o condition_n he_o see_v they_o now_o as_o if_o they_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o glory_n and_o now_o instead_o of_o tribulation_n for_o ten_o day_n which_o ten_o
seven_o head_n with_o himself_o and_o as_o for_o the_o ten_o horn_n they_o be_v all_o one_o for_o they_o be_v both_o blasphemer_n and_o idolater_n and_o do_v worship_n idol_n and_o image_n and_o persecute_v the_o seed_n of_o the_o woman_n and_o make_v war_n with_o the_o saint_n and_o all_o the_o victory_n the_o saint_n do_v obtain_v against_o the_o dragon_n the_o beast_n and_o their_o image_n it_o be_v by_o faith_n and_o patience_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb_n enable_v they_o to_o suffer_v with_o patience_n those_o ten_o persecution_n which_o those_o ten_o horn_n do_v push_v the_o saint_n with_o those_o cruel_a death_n which_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n call_v ten_o day_n tribulation_n but_o i_o shall_v have_v occasion_n to_o speak_v more_o of_o that_o hereafter_o chap._n xxxiii_o but_o in_o the_o second_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n it_o be_v say_v and_o the_o beast_n which_o i_o see_v be_v like_a unto_o a_o leopard_n and_o his_o foot_n be_v as_o the_o foot_n of_o a_o â—ear_n and_o his_o mouth_n as_o the_o mouth_n of_o a_o lion_n and_o the_o dragon_n give_v he_o his_o power_n and_o his_o seat_n and_o his_o authority_n now_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o know_v that_o these_o ten_o persecution_n which_o be_v the_o ten_o horn_n they_o be_v act_v upon_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n so_o call_v that_o be_v so_o long_o as_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o apostle_n do_v successive_o last_v or_o as_o long_o as_o the_o true_a faith_n of_o christ_n be_v upon_o the_o earth_n which_o do_v last_o a_o matter_n of_o three_o hundred_o year_n from_o the_o birth_n of_o christ_n for_o after_o his_o birth_n there_o be_v true_a faith_n on_o the_o earth_n for_o when_o the_o son_n of_o man_n as_o he_o call_v himself_o do_v come_v in_o the_o flesh_n upon_o earth_n be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o earth_n sure_o no._n if_o there_o have_v be_v faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n they_o will_v never_o have_v seek_v to_o have_v destroy_v he_o when_o he_o be_v bear_v as_o herod_n that_o red_a dragon_n do_v and_o afterward_o his_o own_o people_n the_o jew_n so_o that_o this_o be_v to_o be_v mind_v that_o always_o when_o god_n do_v come_v with_o his_o commission_n there_o be_v little_a or_o no_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n when_o god_n do_v send_v moses_n to_o pharaoh_n and_o to_o israel_n moses_n be_v the_o first_o man_n which_o god_n choose_v and_o give_v a_o commission_n to_o write_v scripture_n i_o say_v be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n at_o the_o first_o appear_v of_o god_n sure_o no._n but_o after_o moses_n have_v appear_v then_o there_o be_v faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n but_o at_o his_o first_o appear_v there_o be_v no_o faith_n on_o the_o earth_n so_o likewise_o at_o the_o second_o appear_v of_o god_n that_o be_v to_o say_v when_o christ_n be_v bear_v be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n at_o that_o time_n but_o only_o in_o old_a simeon_n and_o his_o wife_n and_o joseph_n the_o suppose_a father_n of_o christ_n the_o earth_n be_v very_o barren_a of_o true_a faith_n at_o the_o appear_v of_o god_n in_o this_o way_n but_o after_o his_o appear_v there_o be_v much_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n as_o may_v be_v read_v concern_v christ_n himself_o that_o many_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o a_o great_a number_n of_o people_n believe_v on_o his_o apostle_n more_o than_o do_v on_o himself_o so_o that_o there_o be_v great_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n in_o the_o time_n of_o god_n appear_v in_o his_o commission_n of_o the_o blood_n but_o before_o or_o at_o the_o first_o appear_v there_o be_v very_o little_a or_o no_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n so_o likewise_o at_o god_n three_o appear_v in_o his_o commission_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v there_o any_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n sure_o no._n this_o i_o know_v by_o experience_n that_o there_o be_v no_o true_a faith_n on_o the_o earth_n but_o since_o god_n have_v appear_v in_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o spirit_n there_o be_v true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n more_o than_o have_v be_v this_o thirteen_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o year_n so_o that_o at_o the_o appear_v of_o god_n in_o his_o three_o commission_n there_o be_v very_o little_a or_o no_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n i_o mean_v at_o their_o first_o appear_v but_o after_o their_o appear_v there_o be_v true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n and_o that_o more_o abundant_a then_o at_o any_o other_o time_n for_o that_o faith_n which_o be_v between_o commission_n it_o be_v but_o a_o traditional_a faith_n and_o not_o a_o save_a and_o justify_v faith_n i_o only_o give_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n this_o birâ—_n that_o they_o may_v distinguish_v and_o know_v the_o better_a how_o and_o when_o the_o scripture_n be_v fulfil_v so_o i_o shall_v pass_v on_o to_o open_v the_o chief_a thing_n of_o most_o concernment_n in_o this_o chapter_n chap._n xxxiv_o the_o first_o thing_n that_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o mind_n be_v this_o that_o these_o ten_o horn_n of_o persecution_n of_o the_o saint_n it_o do_v first_o begin_v at_o the_o birth_n of_o christ_n in_o that_o dragon_n herod_n and_o afterward_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n of_o the_o dragon_n it_o be_v invest_v or_o seat_v upon_o this_o beast_n he_o be_v the_o first_o head_n which_o the_o dragon_n do_v give_v all_o his_o power_n and_o authority_n and_o his_o seat_n unto_o that_o it_o the_o same_o spirit_n of_o reason_n that_o be_v in_o herod_n the_o dragon_n it_o be_v in_o the_o seed_n of_o this_o beast_n so_o that_o this_o b_o fast_o have_v the_o same_o spirit_n of_o reason_n in_o he_o as_o the_o dragon_n aforesaid_a have_v he_o do_v exercise_v the_o idolatry_n blasphemy_n and_o persecution_n of_o the_o saint_n as_o the_o dragon_n do_v so_o that_o he_o be_v of_o the_o same_o spirit_n and_o practice_n as_o the_o dragon_n be_v it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o he_o receive_v the_o dragon_n seat_n power_n and_o authority_n he_o be_v the_o first_o head_n that_o succeed_v the_o dragon_n for_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o know_v that_o this_o spirit_n of_o the_o dragon_n it_o go_v through_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o those_o seven_o head_n and_o all_o that_o persecution_n that_o be_v act_v in_o that_o three_o hundred_o year_n in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o apostle_n it_o be_v reckon_v all_o but_o unto_o seven_o head_n or_o seven_o beast_n though_o more_o wicked_a king_n then_o these_o seven_o may_v persecute_v the_o saint_n in_o those_o ten_o persecution_n in_o that_o three_o hundred_o year_n yet_o they_o be_v all_o include_v in_o those_o seven_o because_o the_o same_o spirit_n of_o reason_n that_o be_v in_o the_o dragon_n the_o same_o be_v in_o the_o seven_o and_o so_o in_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o wicked_a king_n so_o that_o they_o all_o act_v as_o the_o dragon_n do_v in_o blaspheme_v the_o live_a
