a_o diligent_a providence_n of_o god_n people_n be_v 1._o because_o they_o be_v overseer_n of_o the_o flock_n 2._o because_o they_o be_v call_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o that_o office_n by_o divine_a election_n and_o constitution_n in_o these_o word_n over_o the_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v make_v you_o overseer_n 3._o because_o god_n intent_n in_o call_v they_o to_o that_o office_n be_v to_o feed_v the_o church_n of_o god_n 4._o because_o it_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n of_o a_o small_a value_n that_o be_v commit_v to_o their_o charge_n but_o that_o which_o god_n with_o his_o own_o blood_n purchase_v which_o he_o have_v purchase_v with_o his_o own_o blood_n before_o i_o meddle_v with_o the_o two_o main_a particular_n the_o only_a matter_n intend_v my_o meditation_n shall_v reflect_v a_o little_a upon_o the_o ground_n hereof_o imply_v in_o the_o illative_a particle_n therefore_o which_o ever_o have_v relation_n to_o a_o precedent_a matter_n paul_n protell_v that_o he_o have_v declare_v the_o whole_a counsel_n of_o god_n to_o they_o and_o that_o he_o be_v pure_a from_o the_o blood_n of_o all_o man_n in_o that_o he_o do_v conceal_v nothing_o from_o they_o that_o concern_v their_o salvation_n see_v then_o he_o leave_v they_o in_o so_o good_a a_o state_n acquaint_v they_o with_o the_o lord_n pleasure_n and_o counsel_n he_o charge_v the_o elder_n to_o beware_v of_o themselves_o and_o of_o the_o flock_n take_v heed_n therefore_o to_o yourselves_o etc._n etc._n where_o you_o may_v note_v how_o pious_o paul_n be_v devote_v to_o religion_n how_o zealous_o affect_v to_o god_n church_n how_o provident_a for_o their_o welfare_n loath_a he_o be_v to_o depart_v until_o he_o have_v settle_v the_o affair_n ecclesiastical_a a_o synod_n therefore_o assemble_v he_o lay_v himself_o open_a to_o all_o like_o a_o indulgent_a parent_n depart_v from_o his_o child_n can_v not_o part_v without_o a_o exhortation_n for_o prevent_v future_a peril_n he_o do_v undoubted_o conclude_v as_o well_o he_o may_v the_o improvidence_n of_o minister_n shall_v be_v fatal_a to_o the_o church_n neglective_a carelessness_n have_v evermore_o a_o dead_a stroke_n in_o the_o corruption_n or_o fall_n of_o religion_n where_o pride_n prank_v with_o outward_a semblance_n go_v for_o gravity_n where_o outward_a observance_n and_o ceremonious_a compliment_n pass_v for_o inward_a zeal_n and_o devotion_n where_o humane_a eloquence_n perhaps_o impertinent_a to_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n run_v current_a for_o profound_a learning_n and_o be_v prefer_v before_o the_o demonstration_n of_o the_o spirit_n where_o hagar_n get_v the_o pre-eminence_n of_o sarah_n i_o mean_v where_o philosophy_n shall_v coin_v article_n of_o faith_n and_o prescribe_v rule_n to_o divinity_n where_o vice_n walk_v in_o the_o habit_n of_o virtue_n where_o avarice_n be_v count_v thristiness_n where_o gain_v of_o money_n and_o revenue_n be_v more_o desire_a than_o gain_n of_o soul_n god_n vineyard_n must_v needs_o be_v neglect_v and_o without_o question_n down_o come_v religion_n take_v heed_n therefore_o to_o yourselves_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o illation_n have_v yet_o a_o further_a reach_n in_o the_o precedent_a verse_n he_o do_v aver_v that_o he_o be_v pure_a from_o the_o blood_n of_o all_o man_n and_o for_o his_o justification_n allege_v that_o he_o have_v keep_v back_o from_o they_o no_o part_n of_o god_n counsel_n which_o he_o be_v please_v to_o reveal_v for_o their_o endless_a felicity_n take_v heed_n therefore_o to_o yourselves_o and_o to_o all_o the_o flock_n do_v you_o so_o likewise_o hence_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o you_o be_v industrious_a in_o the_o search_n of_o heavenly_a mystery_n see_v that_o earth_n make_v you_o not_o to_o forget_v heaven_n and_o so_o slacken_v your_o care_n but_o let_v your_o study_n be_v spend_v in_o find_v knowledge_n that_o be_v able_a to_o save_v your_o soul_n and_o they_o that_o hear_v you_o in_o doctrine_n in_o exhortation_n in_o reproof_n aim_v at_o the_o perfection_n of_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n and_o his_o glory_n it_o be_v a_o unquestionable_a truth_n that_o the_o blood_n of_o they_o who_o receive_v little_a or_o no_o instruction_n of_o their_o pastor_n or_o who_o fall_n away_o from_o the_o truth_n through_o the_o pastor_n neglect_n or_o careless_a carriage_n in_o their_o vocation_n will_v be_v require_v at_o the_o pastor_n hand_n ezekiel_n in_o his_o 33._o chap._n confirm_v this_o assertion_n o_o son_n of_o man_n i_o have_v set_v thou_o a_o watchman_n unto_o the_o
