that_o god_n shut_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n against_o he_o render_v he_o no_o light_n in_o that_o respect_n but_o leave_v his_o soul_n the_o only_a object_n of_o eternal_a darkness_n again_o this_o be_v at_o jerusalem_n the_o figure_n of_o eternal_a peace_n this_o employ_v to_o he_o that_o no_o peace_n or_o consolation_n at_o that_o time_n be_v his_o portion_n from_o god_n but_o the_o contrary_a apprehension_n of_o eternal_a woe_n suitable_a to_o the_o damn_a spirit_n of_o man_n and_o devil_n again_o this_o be_v also_o in_o the_o place_n of_o residence_n of_o his_o elect_a spouse_n the_o kingdom_n of_o grace_n on_o earth_n this_o imply_v that_o he_o be_v to_o god_n a_o man_n cut_v off_o from_o the_o land_n of_o the_o live_n in_o all_o respect_n consequent_o not_o place_n leave_v to_o he_o by_o divine_a justice_n but_o the_o place_n prepare_v for_o the_o devil_n and_o his_o angel_n for_o say_v the_o text_n he_o be_v reckon_v among_o the_o transgressor_n luk_n 22_o 37._o flame_a wrath_n by_o faith_n and_o love_n and_o so_o render_v his_o soul_n to_o god_n from_o his_o body_n and_o his_o body_n to_o dust_v a_o whole_a burn_a offering_n say_v father_n into_o thy_o hand_n i_o commend_v my_o spirit_n therefore_o this_o be_v the_o first_o and_o great_a resurrection_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o which_o he_o raise_v himself_o by_o his_o own_o power_n from_o the_o depth_n of_o infernal_a death_n yea_o the_o most_o certain_a death_n that_o be_v death_n in_o the_o substance_n as_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o day_n that_o thou_o eat_v thou_o shall_v certain_o die_v the_o death_n object_n it_o may_v be_v here_o object_v christ_n know_v his_o father_n power_n to_o be_v infinite_a and_o therefore_o all_o thing_n possible_a to_o he_o consequent_o christ_n in_o his_o prayer_n will_v this_o cup_n to_o pass_v he_o absolute_o answer_n answer_n it_o do_v not_o follow_v for_o although_o christ_n do_v know_v as_o indeed_o he_o do_v that_o to_o god_n all_o thing_n be_v possible_a in_o respect_n of_o his_o power_n yet_o he_o know_v this_o cup_n can_v not_o possible_o pass_v he_o in_o respect_n of_o god_n justice_n he_o be_v the_o second_o adam_n and_o therefore_o he_o will_v it_o not_o absolute_o object_n again_o it_o will_v then_o be_v reply_v that_o christ_n prayer_n be_v vain_a and_o consequent_o a_o sin_n answer_n it_o do_v not_o follow_v for_o if_o he_o have_v not_o pray_v that_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o let_v that_o cup_n pass_v he_o have_v then_o sin_v against_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n which_o bind_v he_o to_o love_v himself_o consequent_o unfeyned_o to_o desire_v to_o avoid_v the_o destruction_n of_o himself_o but_o because_o in_o respect_n to_o god_n justice_n he_o submit_v in_o faith_n and_o love_n in_o a_o full_a resignation_n of_o himself_o to_o his_o father_n will_n therefore_o he_o be_v right_o in_o both_o and_o wrong_v in_o neither_o object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v again_o object_v that_o his_o prayer_n on_o the_o cross_n employ_v sâ—me_a ignorance_n in_o this_o great_a work_n because_o he_o say_v why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o consequent_o he_o sin_v answer_n it_o do_v not_o follow_v for_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o what_o a_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o know_v by_o the_o perfection_n proper_a to_o his_o kind_n and_o another_o thing_n to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o what_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o know_v but_o christ_n ignorance_n be_v of_o the_o first_o sort_n because_o that_o vast_a distance_n of_o the_o twofold_a separation_n be_v more_o than_o his_o pure_a
