We cannot but call to mind that as the declaration set out and published by the late lords justices and council, bearing date the 30th. of April, 1662. did so far indulge those recusants, non-conformists and sectaries, who were misguided and did not conform to the laws of the land, concerning uniformity of common prayer and service in the church, and the administration of the sacraments ... that_o as_o the_o declaration_n set_v out_o and_o publish_v by_o the_o late_a lord_n justice_n and_o council_n bearing_z date_n the_o 30_o of_o april_n 1662._o do_v so_o far_o indulge_v those_o recusant_n nonconformist_n and_o sectary_n who_o be_v misguide_v and_o do_v not_o conform_v to_o the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n concern_v uniformity_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o service_n in_o the_o church_n and_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n that_o they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v further_o proceed_v against_o for_o the_o offence_n then_o past_a so_o that_o proclamation_n contain_v also_o a_o premenition_n to_o they_o that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n be_v for_o the_o time_n then_o to_o come_v to_o expect_v the_o like_a indulgence_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v find_v that_o that_o extension_n of_o his_o majesty_n gracious_a clemency_n towards_o they_o have_v not_o wrought_v those_o effect_n of_o conformity_n in_o those_o person_n which_o that_o high_a favour_n from_o his_o majesty_n have_v deserve_v and_o although_o his_o majesty_n may_v be_v thereby_o provoke_v and_o that_o most-just_o to_o proceed_v against_o they_o with_o that_o strictness_n which_o be_v due_a to_o such_o great_a contempt_n not_o only_o of_o his_o law_n but_o also_o of_o his_o clemency_n yet_o consider_v that_o we_o well_o know_v that_o such_o be_v his_o majesty_n abundant_a goodness_n and_o tenderness_n towards_o his_o subject_n as_o he_o wish_v rather_o that_o those_o of_o they_o who_o be_v misguide_v may_v be_v win_v by_o gentleness_n than_o by_o the_o strict_a execution_n of_o his_o law_n and_o consider_v also_o that_o we_o do_v believe_v that_o the_o render_v hitherto_o fruitless_a the_o hope_n we_o have_v of_o their_o conformity_n proceed_v rather_o from_o the_o seducement_n of_o other_o than_o from_o evil_a in_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o people_n themselves_o therefore_o as_o a_o mean_n to_o preserve_v the_o people_n front_v the_o danger_n of_o such_o seducement_n as_o we_o do_v former_o give_v order_n for_o suppress_v unlawful_a assembly_n so_o we_o have_v lare_o direct_v our_o letter_n into_o leberal_a part_n of_o this_o kingdom_n to_o remove_v the_o person_n of_o some_o minister_n or_o pretend_a minister_n whereby_o they_o may_v not_o have_v such_o opportunity_n as_o they_o have_v hitherto_o have_v to_o continue_v their_o evil_a practice_n in_o sedute_v too_o many_o of_o the_o people_n and_o we_o conceive_v that_o from_o thence_o may_v yet_o follow_v the_o desire_a conformity_n from_o they_o and_o consider_v likewise_o that_o we_o now_o find_v that_o some_o attempt_n have_v be_v make_v to_o draw_v into_o the_o late_a borry_v conspiracy_n for_o take_v his_o majesty_n castle_n of_o dublin_n some_o person_n that_o be_v as_o yet_o nonconformist_n and_o that_o they_o agreeable_a to_o the_o duty_n and_o loyalty_n of_o good_a subject_n to_o his_o majesty_n utter_o decline_v any_o conjunction_n in_o so_o traitorous_a a_o design_n we_o therefore_o judge_v it_o fit_v once_o more_o to_o make_v a_o further_a trial_n if_o by_o any_o gentle_a way_n or_o mean_v the_o seduce_a people_n may_v be_v reclaim_v and_o to_o that_o end_n do_v hereby_o declare_v that_o for_o the_o time_n past_o all_o offence_n commit_v against_o his_o majesty_n say_a law_n of_o uniformity_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o service_n in_o the_o church_n and_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n shall_v be_v no_o further_o proceed_v against_o before_o any_o his_o majesty_n judge_n of_o assize_n or_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n but_o that_o there_o be_v a_o stop_v put_v to_o all_o proceed_n and_o penalty_n for_o such_o offence_n for_o the_o say_a time_n past_a and_o as_o we_o have_v take_v this_o course_n to_o prevent_v any_o such_o trouble_n or_o punishment_n to_o the_o people_n by_o authority_n of_o the_o temporal_a court_n so_o we_o be_v well_o assure_v that_o we_o need_v not_o give_v any_o direction_n to_o the_o arch-bishop_n or_o bishop_n as_o to_o the_o spiritual_a court_n in_o regard_n we_o be_v well_o satisfy_v that_o such_o be_v the_o piety_n and_o moderation_n of_o the_o arch-bishop_n and_o bishop_n that_o they_o be_v willing_a and_o ready_a without_o look_v back_o into_o the_o former_a error_n of_o any_o of_o the_o people_n to_o receive_v and_o embrace_v into_o the_o bosom_n of_o the_o church_n all_o such_o of_o they_o as_o shall_v desire_v to_o conform_v themselves_o and_o we_o do_v further_o declare_v that_o after_o the_o 24_o day_n of_o december_n next_o no_o person_n or_o person_n be_v to_o expect_v the_o like_a indusgence_n but_o that_o all_o judge_n of_o assize_n and_o justice_n of_o peace_n and_o all_o other_o concern_v be_v thenceforth_o to_o see_v the_o say_a law_n due_o put_v in_o execution_n provide_v that_o this_o indulgence_n extend_v not_o to_o any_o minister_n or_o pretend_a minister_n that_o shall_v go_v about_o to_o dissuade_v the_o people_n from_o their_o obedience_n to_o the_o say_a law_n
