piece_n of_o cloth_n over_o a_o beam_n or_o piece_n of_o timber_n make_v for_o their_o purpose_n and_o do_v by_o sundry_a device_n rack_n stretch_v and_o draw_v the_o same_o both_o of_o length_n and_o breadth_n and_o that_o do_v do_v then_o with_o batteldore_n piece_n of_o timber_n and_o wood_n and_o other_o thing_n sore_o beat_v the_o same_o ever_o cast_v thereupon_o certain_a deceitful_a liquor_n mingle_v with_o chalk_n and_o other_o like_a thing_n whereby_o the_o say_a cloth_n be_v not_o due_o make_v to_o seem_v much_o fine_a &_o thick_a to_o the_o eye_n than_o it_o be_v in_o deed_n but_o also_o the_o thread_n thereof_o be_v so_o lose_a and_o make_v weak_a that_o after_o iii_o or_o four_o wash_n it_o will_v scarce_o hold_v together_o to_o the_o great_a deceit_n hindrance_n and_o loss_n of_o the_o subject_n of_o this_o realm_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v hereafter_o willing_o value_n and_o substance_n of_o every_o person_n so_o certify_v and_o if_o the_o same_o commissioner_n see_v cause_n reasonable_a they_o shall_v examine_v the_o say_a presenter_n thereof_o and_o thereupon_o the_o say_a commissioner_n at_o the_o say_a day_n and_o place_n by_o their_o agreement_n amongst_o themselves_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n open_o there_o prefix_v a_o day_n at_o a_o subconstable_n bailiff_n or_o other_o officer_n of_o such_o hundred_o wapentake_n town_n or_o other_o place_n aforesaid_a as_o the_o same_o commissioner_n shall_v be_v of_o comprise_v and_o contain_v in_o the_o same_o precept_n the_o name_n and_o surname_n of_o all_o person_n present_v before_o they_o in_o the_o say_a certificate_n of_o who_o if_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o many_o of_o they_o as_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o appoint_v by_o the_o queen_n commission_n shall_v then_o have_v vehement_a suspect_n to_o be_v of_o more_o great_a value_n or_o substance_n in_o land_n good_n particular_o and_o distinct_o the_o person_n so_o complain_v and_o other_o his_o neighbour_n by_o their_o discretion_n of_o every_o his_o land_n and_o tenement_n above_o specify_v and_o of_o every_o his_o good_n cattle_n and_o debt_n above_o mention_v and_o after_o due_a examination_n and_o perfect_a knowledge_n thereof_o have_v and_o perceive_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n which_o shall_v have_v power_n by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a the_o say_v commissioner_n or_o two_o of_o they_o to_o who_o any_o such_o complaint_n shall_v be_v make_v by_o their_o discretion_n upon_o the_o or_o otherwise_o willing_o by_o covin_n shall_v happen_v to_o escape_v from_o the_o say_a taxation_n or_o payment_n aforesaid_a and_o not_o to_o be_v rate_v tax_v and_o set_v shall_v be_v charge_v upon_o the_o knowledge_n and_o proof_n thereof_o with_o and_o at_o the_o double_a value_n that_o he_o shall_v or_o ought_v to_o have_v be_v set_v at_o afore_o accord_v to_o his_o bahaviour_n the_o same_o double_a value_n to_o be_v levy_v gather_v and_o pay_v of_o his_o good_n and_o cattle_n land_n and_o tenement_n towards_o the_o say_a subsidy_n and_o further_o to_o be_v punish_v accord_v to_o the_o discretion_n of_o the_o baron_n justice_n and_o commissioner_n before_o who_o he_o shall_v be_v convict_v for_o his_o offence_n and_o deceit_n in_o that_o behalf_n and_o further_o be_v it_o every_o assessour_n within_o their_o division_n for_o his_o and_o their_o good_n land_n and_o other_o the_o premise_n as_o be_v abouseayde_v by_o the_o which_o say_v commission_n the_o say_a commissioner_n shall_v indifferent_o set_v tax_v and_o assess_v themselves_o and_o the_o say_a assessor_n and_o that_o aswell_o the_o sum_n upon_o every_o of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o assessor_n so_o sess_z rate_v and_o tax_v as_o the_o sum_n make_v and_o present_v by_o the_o presenter_n swear_v as_o be_v abovesaid_a shall_v be_v write_v certify_v set_v and_o estreat_v and_o the_o estreate_v thereof_o to_o be_v make_v with_o other_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o that_o party_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o the_o same_o commission_n and_o division_n so_o to_o be_v gather_v and_o levy_v seal_n treasurer_n of_o england_n lord_n precedent_n of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n privy_a counsel_n &_o lord_n privy_a seal_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o other_o person_n by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n authority_n to_o be_v limit_v &_o they_o to_o be_v charge_v for_o the_o say_v several_a payment_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n after_o the_o form_n of_o the_o say_v grant_v accord_v to_o the_o taxation_n aforesaid_a and_o the_o sum_n upon_o they_o set_v with_o the_o name_n of_o the_o colloctour_n appoint_v for_o the_o gather_n &_o pay_v of_o the_o same_o to_o be_v estreat_v deliver_v and_o certify_v at_o day_n and_o place_n above_o specify_v by_o the_o lord_n chancellor_n or_o keeper_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n treasurer_n lord_n precedent_n of_o the_o counsel_n &_o lord_n privy_a seal_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o such_o other_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v limit_v by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n and_o after_o the_o tax_n and_o assess_v of_o the_o say_a sum_n upon_o and_o the_o say_v assess_v and_o certificate_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a make_v the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o many_o of_o they_o as_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o appoint_v by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n of_o the_o say_a distress_n if_o any_o be_v to_o be_v restore_v and_o deliver_v unto_o the_o owner_n in_o form_n above_o remember_v provide_v always_o that_o no_o person_n inhabit_v in_o any_o city_n borough_n or_o town_n corporate_a shall_v be_v compel_v to_o be_v a_o assessour_n or_o collector_n of_o or_o for_o any_o part_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n in_o any_o place_n or_o place_n out_o of_o for_o any_o person_n shall_v be_v tax_v rate_v value_v and_o set_v to_o any_o sum_n or_o sum_n by_o reason_n of_o this_o act_n and_o after_o the_o taxation_n or_o assess_v upon_o any_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v charge_v with_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o same_o happen_v to_o die_v or_o depart_v from_o the_o place_n where_o he_o be_v so_o tax_v and_o set_v or_o his_o good_n or_o cattle_n be_v so_o eloyn_v or_o in_o such_o privy_a and_o covert_a manner_n keep_v as_o the_o say_a person_n or_o person_n charge_v with_o the_o same_o by_o estreate_n or_o other_o write_n from_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o many_o of_o they_o as_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o appoint_v by_o the_o say_a commission_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a can_v ne_o may_v levy_v the_o same_o sum_n or_o sum_n comprise_v within_o the_o same_o estreate_n by_o distress_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o collection_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a or_o can_v not_o sell_v such_o distress_n or_o distress_n as_o be_v take_v for_o any_o of_o the_o say_a payment_n before_o the_o time_n limit_v to_o the_o high_a collector_n for_o his_o payment_n to_o be_v make_v in_o the_o queen_n majesty_n receipt_n then_o upon_o relation_n thereof_o with_o due_a examination_n by_o the_o oath_n or_o examination_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v charge_v with_o and_o for_o the_o receipt_n and_o collection_n of_o the_o same_o before_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o many_o of_o they_o as_o by_o the_o say_a commission_n shall_v be_v thereunto_o appoint_v where_o such_o person_n or_o same_o commissioner_n aswell_o of_o the_o dwell_v place_n name_n and_o sum_n of_o the_o say_a person_n of_o who_o the_o say_a sum_n can_v not_o be_v levy_v and_o have_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a then_o aswell_o the_o constable_n and_o other_o inhabitant_n appoint_v for_o the_o say_v particular_a collection_n against_o the_o high_a collector_n as_o the_o high_a collector_n upon_o his_o account_n
