and_o obedience_n to_o our_o sovereign_n distinguish_v civil_a and_o sacred_a must_v be_v distinguish_v and_o that_o not_o only_o upon_o a_o civil_a but_o also_o upon_o a_o sacred_a account_n not_o only_o for_o wrath_n but_o for_o conscience_n sake_n king_n be_v the_o only_a person_n upon_o earth_n unto_o who_o god_n have_v give_v a_o immediate_a delegation_n of_o his_o authority_n who_o to_o obey_v be_v to_o obey_v his_o ordinance_n and_o who_o to_o resist_v be_v to_o resist_v his_o power_n and_o whosoever_o deny_v obedience_n to_o be_v a_o religious_a duty_n take_v away_o from_o the_o king_n the_o fair_a jewel_n in_o his_o crown_n and_o the_o strong_a fortress_n in_o his_o dominion_n but_o this_o be_v a_o doctrine_n that_o have_v be_v so_o frequent_o discuss_v of_o late_a so_o learned_o demonstrate_v and_o so_o undeniable_o establish_v among_o we_o that_o there_o be_v no_o need_n to_o insist_v upon_o it_o now_o only_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o say_v that_o notwithstanding_o the_o unreasonable_a cavil_n of_o gainsay_v man_n yet_o passive_a obedience_n always_o be_v and_o i_o hope_v always_o will_v be_v the_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v a_o doctrine_n of_o which_o no_o church_n need_v to_o be_v ashamed_a and_o no_o king_n can_v be_v afraid_a and_o to_o this_o i_o shall_v only_o add_v that_o all_o that_o obedience_n which_o the_o scripture_n require_v we_o to_o pay_v unto_o the_o king_n we_o must_v now_o look_v upon_o as_o devolve_v upon_o their_o present_a majesty_n and_o proper_o belong_v to_o their_o claim_n the_o power_n that_o be_v say_v the_o apostle_n be_v ordain_v of_o god_n and_o upon_o that_o account_n they_o just_o challenge_v our_o submission_n and_o in_o this_o point_n though_o i_o must_v not_o say_v with_o st._n paul_n that_o i_o think_v i_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n yet_o i_o dare_v say_v not_o you_o mean_v of_o a_o great_a many_o of_o your_o churchman_n the_o spirit_n of_o your_o church_n you_o understand_v not_o that_o i_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o that_o church_n in_o which_o i_o be_v bear_v and_o breed_v and_o i_o dare_v say_v no_o more_o for_o crown_n
