sense_n we_o conceive_v not_o because_o 2_o they_o will_v not_o admit_v the_o present_a sense_n of_o our_o commons_o touch_v the_o covenant_n notwithstanding_o they_o be_v as_o authentic_a interpreter_n of_o it_o as_o any_o we_o know_v or_o as_o any_o they_o tell_v we_o of_o second_o we_o contradict_v ourselves_o pag._n 18._o where_o for_o the_o sense_n of_o this_o very_a clause_n say_v be_v choose_v to_o judge_v and_o conclude_v what_o be_v consistent_a with_o our_o liberty_n and_o what_o not_o whether_o the_o thing_n main_o covenant_v for_o or_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n can_v have_v be_v obtain_v and_o preserve_v with_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o king_n person_n yea_o or_o no_o and_o now_o sir_n let_v the_o world_n know_v upon_o your_o second_o thought_n whether_o in_o these_o word_n by_o our_o own_o confession_n we_o can_v be_v conclude_v to_o judge_v it_o reasonable_a that_o the_o parliament_n shall_v fasten_v postnate_a and_o occasional_a declaration_n upon_o man_n conscience_n touch_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o covenant_n we_o conceive_v you_o will_v find_v yourselves_o heavenly_a wide_a and_o beside_o the_o book_n in_o raise_v the_o inference_n that_o which_o follow_v therefore_o in_o these_o author_n instead_o of_o a_o answer_n to_o what_o we_o aver_v touch_v the_o alterable_a nature_n of_o declaration_n be_v full_a as_o wide_a towards_o a_o conclusion_n we_o shall_v brief_o vindicate_v what_o we_o subjoined_n in_o our_o plea_n for_o the_o clear_n our_o averment_n touch_v the_o alterablenesse_n of_o that_o declaration_n nation_n by_o king_n lord_n and_o commons_o as_o to_o the_o former_a of_o these_o we_o affirm_v that_o no_o postnate_a interpretation_n that_o may_v be_v suppose_v to_o have_v more_o or_o less_o in_o it_o then_o the_o letter_n of_o a_o covenant_n can_v be_v reasonable_o impose_v upon_o the_o conscience_n neither_o do_v we_o see_v cause_n to_o judge_v that_o the_o parliament_n by_o their_o above_o name_v declaration_n intend_v to_o elucidate_n or_o interpret_v the_o letter_n of_o the_o covenant_n to_o the_o latter_a we_o say_v that_o although_o such_o and_o such_o thing_n be_v declare_v for_o yet_o declaration_n as_o they_o here_o acknowledge_v be_v alterable_a pro_fw-la re_fw-la nata_fw-la and_o therefore_o be_v of_o no_o perpetual_a obligation_n let_v we_o hear_v what_o they_o say_v to_o but_o deem_v it_o have_v be_v a_o very_a sinful_a thing_n a_o betray_v their_o trust_n a_o ruine_v the_o nation_n a_o give_v we_o up_o to_o a_o seven-times_o worse_o slavery_n then_o at_o their_o first_o convention_n they_o find_v we_o in_o and_o we_o can_v see_v nothing_o here_o allege_v by_o these_o divine_n though_o we_o look_v long_o for_o it_o to_o persuade_v we_o of_o the_o contrary_a they_o only_o say_v it_o have_v not_o be_v matter_n of_o sin_n in_o the_o commons_o to_o have_v make_v good_a that_o declaration_n of_o which_o we_o be_v speak_v but_o for_o this_o we_o want_v
