blaspheme_v the_o god_n of_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n may_v inflict_v civil_a punishment_n they_o may_v forbid_v and_o punish_v the_o teach_n of_o some_o doctrine_n tend_v to_o the_o reproach_n of_o religion_n destructive_a of_o christianity_n of_o civil_a government_n provide_v they_o be_v very_o wary_a that_o they_o do_v not_o judge_v by_o any_o other_o than_o the_o plain_a declaration_n of_o estate_n liberty_n of_o trade_n etc._n etc._n or_o less_o as_o some_o small_a diminution_n of_o privilege_n office_n etc._n etc._n the_o thing_n impose_v on_o man_n may_v be_v either_o the_o command_n or_o plain_a institution_n of_o christ_n or_o some_o thing_n devise_v by_o man_n as_o council_n father_n prelate_n etc._n etc._n and_o these_o imposition_n may_v be_v either_o in_o circumstance_n of_o time_n place_n order_n which_o be_v undetermined_a by_o christ_n or_o in_o such_o point_n of_o doctrine_n or_o worship_n as_o be_v of_o great_a moment_n and_o determine_v by_o christ_n the_o imposition_n may_v be_v such_o as_o be_v term_v by_o the_o apostle_n hay_n and_o stubble_n or_o such_o as_o overthrow_v the_o foundation_n which_o be_v lay_v which_o be_v jesus_n christ_n 1_o cor._n 3._o 11_o 12._o such_o as_o be_v imposition_n tend_v to_o idolatry_n superstition_n profaneness_n heresy_n of_o perdition_n blasphemy_n the_o imposition_n may_v be_v on_o teacher_n or_o learner_n strong_a or_o weak_a christian_n to_o be_v subscribe_v to_o or_o teach_v or_o to_o be_v conform_v to_o or_o profess_v and_o this_o to_o be_v do_v either_o by_o bare_a presence_n which_o infer_v no_o the_o apostle_n day_n who_o have_v seldom_o be_v so_o equal_a as_o to_o permit_v those_o they_o have_v be_v prejudice_v against_o to_o debate_v free_o and_o full_o what_o they_o hold_v nor_o be_v they_o hear_v with_o that_o equanimity_n which_o be_v requisite_a and_o therefore_o prince_n parliament_n republic_n have_v make_v many_o hard_a law_n and_o do_v innumerable_a unrighteous_a execution_n to_o shed_v of_o much_o innocent_a blood_n and_o most_o heavy_a oppression_n of_o man_n either_o guiltless_a or_o not_o deserve_v such_o severe_a penalty_n as_o they_o have_v endure_v i_o officer_n of_o justice_n have_v need_n of_o very_a much_o circumspection_n and_o tenderness_n ere_o they_o make_v penal_a law_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o make_v heresy_n by_o the_o determination_n of_o any_o council_n since_o the_o apostle_n day_n nor_o urge_v subscription_n and_o conformity_n under_o civil_a penalty_n but_o in_o thing_n plain_o set_v down_o in_o holy_a scripture_n that_o so_o much_o liberty_n to_o dissent_n and_o different_a usage_n shall_v be_v give_v as_o may_v stand_v with_o peace_n yet_o that_o king_n shall_v use_v no_o civil_a be_v a_o great_a difference_n to_o be_v make_v between_o profess_a infidel_n and_o disorderly_a christian_n between_o plant_v of_o the_o gospel_n at_o first_o and_o resorm_v christian_n who_o have_v
