fast_o in_o their_o ignorance_n error_n and_o extravagancy_n and_o because_o there_o be_v so_o much_o grumble_a at_o the_o present_a state_n of_o the_o church_n and_o commonwealth_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o covenant_n i_o shall_v therefore_o take_v liberty_n to_o take_v the_o covenant_n in_o piece_n and_o to_o take_v a_o view_n of_o all_o the_o particular_n in_o it_o and_o so_o it_o will_v plain_o appear_v that_o while_o these_o man_n insist_v so_o much_o upon_o one_o clause_n in_o the_o covenant_n they_o neglect_v all_o the_o rest_n of_o it_o the_o particular_a head_n or_o branch_n of_o the_o covenant_n be_v these_o six_o as_o they_o follow_v now_o in_o order_n 1._o the_o first_o be_v reformation_n of_o religion_n in_o worship_n discipline_n and_o government_n according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o example_n of_o the_o best_a reform_a church_n etc._n etc._n but_o the_o most_o and_o they_o that_o grumble_v most_o cry_v all_o reformation_n they_o extol_v prelacy_n they_o will_v have_v their_o old_a service_n their_o old_a ceremony_n 2._o second_o the_o extirpation_n of_o popery_n prelacy_n superstition_n heresy_n scism_n profaneness_n and_o whatsoever_o shall_v be_v find_v to_o be_v contrary_a to_o sound_v doctrine_n and_o the_o power_n of_o godliness_n etc._n etc._n but_o who_o almost_o regard_v sound_a doctrine_n and_o the_o power_n of_o godliness_n i_o be_o sure_a that_o schism_n and_o profaneness_n abound_v more_o now_o then_o in_o former_a time_n 3._o the_o three_o be_v with_o realty_n sincerity_n and_o constancy_n with_o our_o life_n and_o estate_n mutual_o to_o preserve_v the_o right_n and_o privilege_n of_o parliament_n the_o liberty_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o to_o preserve_v the_o king_n majesty_n person_n and_o authority_n in_o the_o preservation_n and_o defence_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n and_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o kingdom_n etc._n etc._n but_o the_o right_n and_o privilege_n of_o parliament_n be_v in_o no_o grace_n for_o they_o that_o grumble_v most_o do_v contemn_v the_o parliament_n and_o condemn_v all_o parliamentary_a proceed_n their_o proceed_n against_o the_o late_a king_n fill_v their_o heart_n with_o madness_n and_o their_o tongue_n with_o clamour_n 4._o four_o with_o all_o faithfulness_n to_o endeavour_v the_o discovery_n of_o all_o such_o as_o have_v be_v or_o shall_v be_v incendiary_n malignant_n or_o evil_a instrument_n by_o hinder_v the_o reformation_n of_o religion_n divide_v the_o king_n from_o his_o people_n or_o make_v any_o faction_n or_o party_n among_o the_o
