persecution_n more_o grievous_a to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n than_o this_o now_o who_o do_v not_o daily_o see_v that_o the_o best_a christian_n and_o the_o pureness_n of_o religion_n be_v great_o persecute_v by_o papist_n atheist_n and_o hypocrite_n as_o isaac_n be_v by_o his_o brother_n ishmael_n and_o of_o all_o matter_n of_o religion_n i_o think_v there_o be_v scarce_o any_o in_o these_o day_n more_o general_o hate_v of_o such_o kind_n of_o man_n then_o that_o which_o be_v most_o altogether_o &_o almost_o only_a hand_n lead_v in_o this_o simple_a sermon_n for_o these_o &_o such_o like_a man_n many_o of_o they_o can_v be_v content_a with_o a_o common_a ordinary_a profession_n to_o hear_v matin_n and_o evensong_n and_o sometime_o a_o sermon_n by_o such_o man_n as_o they_o like_v of_o but_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o continual_a course_n of_o the_o pure_a preach_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n they_o can_v in_o no_o case_n allow_v or_o like_v of_o this_o i_o say_v be_v hate_v reject_v and_o persecute_v so_o far_o as_o may_v be_v of_o the_o great_a sort_n and_o therefore_o not_o without_o cause_n have_v i_o attempt_v to_o dedicate_v this_o my_o labour_n to_o your_o honour_n as_o special_a patron_n &_o defendor_n of_o the_o lord_n cause_n &_o try_a friend_n and_o favourer_n of_o god_n &_o his_o truth_n but_o yet_o this_o attempt_n may_v seem_v very_a raish_fw-mi and_o needle_n for_o who_o be_o i_o that_o i_o shall_v take_v upon_o i_o to_o set_v forth_o and_o to_o publish_v any_o thing_n the_o unworthy_a i_o confess_v of_o many_o hundreth_n and_o the_o unabl_a of_o many_o thousand_o and_o yet_o see_v many_o thing_n more_o simple_a less_o needful_a and_o profitable_a be_v not_o only_o suffer_v but_o allow_v to_o come_v abroad_o i_o be_o not_o altogether_o discourage_v neither_o have_v any_o man_n just_a cause_n to_o accuse_v i_o in_o this_o my_o simple_a enterprise_n i_o know_v these_o be_v day_n of_o knowledge_n &_o learning_n there_o be_v great_a and_o such_o good_a cause_n and_o yet_o the_o two_o mite_n of_o the_o poor_a widow_n cast_v into_o the_o treasury_n amongst_o the_o great_a gift_n of_o the_o wealthy_a be_v not_o to_o be_v refuse_v i_o know_v your_o honour_n be_v daily_a hearer_n of_o famous_a and_o learned_a man_n both_o in_o your_o house_n and_o abroad_o you_o be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o sermon_n of_o profound_a &_o deep_a divine_n and_o such_o as_o be_v mighty_a in_o the_o scripture_n notwithstanding_o have_v in_o myself_o sufficient_a trial_n &_o experience_n of_o your_o honour_n most_o courteous_a humble_a &_o favourable_a deal_n towards_o i_o and_o also_o of_o some_o like_n of_o my_o simple_a &_o my_o poor_a travel_n in_o preach_v heretofore_o i_o be_o not_o ashamed_a or_o afraid_a after_o such_o trial_n and_o proof_n to_o offer_v this_o so_o small_a and_o simple_a a_o thing_n unto_o your_o honour_n the_o great_a necessity_n of_o the_o matter_n i_o deal_v withal_o the_o care_n of_o god_n glory_n the_o zeal_n of_o his_o house_n the_o benefit_n that_o his_o church_n may_v have_v by_o it_o have_v especial_o move_v i_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v publish_v &_o come_v abroad_o let_v not_o therefore_o hypocrite_n be_v too_o rash_a in_o judge_v the_o lord_n the_o searcher_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o reins_n know_v my_o purpose_n and_o affection_n in_o preach_v and_o publish_v this_o matter_n the_o cause_n that_o have_v move_v i_o to_o present_v it_o to_o your_o honour_n rather_o than_o to_o other_o be_v the_o long_a proof_n and_o acquaintance_n of_o your_o honourable_a courtesy_n and_o friendly_a good_a will_n towards_o i_o which_o for_o my_o part_n i_o be_o never_o able_a to_o requite_v for_o the_o which_o i_o think_v myself_o as_o long_a as_o breath_n be_v in_o i_o most_o bind_v and_o indebt_v to_o your_o honour_n and_o here_o i_o offer_v this_o poor_a fruit_n of_o my_o travail_n as_o some_o testimony_n of_o good_a will_n and_o thankfulness_n and_o whereas_o we_o be_v wont_v common_o to_o offer_v and_o present_v to_o our_o dear_a friend_n some_o gift_n as_o token_n of_o good_a will_n or_o else_o of_o special_a duty_n among_o many_o great_a and_o precious_a present_n which_o be_v no_o doubt_n give_v and_o present_v to_o your_o honour_n i_o also_o offer_v this_o simple_a mite_n and_o yet_o i_o hope_v more_o pleasant_a and_o acceptable_a to_o the_o receiver_n than_o &_o large_o in_o this_o little_a sermon_n for_o howsoever_o many_o man_n hate_v and_o abhor_v this_o matter_n and_o can_v in_o no_o case_n digest_v it_o yet_o your_o honour_n zeal_n courage_n like_v
