fear_n alone_o nor_o think_v themselves_o exonered_a when_o so_o much_o be_v do_v as_o his_o displeasure_n will_v be_v eschew_v but_o be_v act_v from_o other_o motive_n also_o they_o must_v make_v conscience_n of_o several_a other_o thing_n in_o the_o matter_n and_o manner_n of_o their_o service_n which_o the_o awe_n and_o fear_n of_o their_o master_n will_v never_o constrain_v they_o unto_o for_o although_o the_o master_n know_v not_o the_o heart_n and_o consequent_o the_o servant_n need_v not_o to_o trouble_v themselves_o about_o their_o heart_n from_o the_o fear_n or_o dread_a of_o he_o yet_o they_o be_v to_o obey_v in_o singleness_n of_o heart_n 11._o a_o servant_n can_v never_o discharge_v his_o duty_n with_o that_o sincerity_n and_o tenderness_n which_o he_o owe_v unto_o his_o master_n except_o he_o have_v a_o high_a esteem_n of_o christ_n and_o in_o the_o first_o plac_n become_v a_o obedient_a servant_n unto_o he_o that_o so_o from_o love_n to_o christ_n he_o may_v yield_v himself_o obedient_a to_o his_o master_n in_o christ_n and_o so_o far_o as_o obedience_n to_o he_o do_v not_o cross_v that_o obedience_n which_o he_o owe_v to_o christ_n for_o he_o bid_v they_o be_v obedient_a unto_o their_o master_n as_o unto_o christ_n and_o so_o imply_v they_o must_v be_v first_o obedient_a unto_o christ._n vers._n 6._o not_o with_o eye-service_n as_o men-pleasers_a but_o as_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n from_o the_o heart_n here_o be_v more_o property_n of_o the_o obedience_n require_v from_o servant_n or_o rather_o a_o explanation_n of_o that_o property_n already_o express_v to_o wit_n singleness_n of_o heart_n which_o he_o explain_v 1._o negative_o while_o he_o oppose_v it_o to_o eye-service_n which_o be_v here_o condemn_v in_o servant_n who_o then_o be_v guilty_a of_o this_o sin_n when_o they_o seem_v respective_a to_o their_o master_n person_n and_o careful_a of_o what_o concern_v he_o himself_o be_v present_a or_o when_o they_o know_v their_o deportment_n will_v otherways_o come_v to_o his_o knowledge_n but_o at_o other_o time_n be_v unfaithful_a and_o careless_a which_o sin_n of_o eye-service_n be_v aggreage_v from_o this_o that_o those_o who_o be_v guilty_a of_o it_o be_v men-pleasers_a not_o as_o if_o it_o be_v simple_o unlawful_a for_o servant_n to_o endeavour_v to_o please_v their_o master_n for_o that_o be_v command_v tit._n 2._o 9_o but_o when_o they_o only_o seek_v to_o please_v they_o and_o that_o they_o may_v seem_v to_o please_v they_o care_v not_o to_o deceive_v they_o by_o appear_v to_o be_v that_o in_o their_o presence_n which_o real_o they_o be_v not_o and_o consequent_o do_v not_o labour_v to_o approve_v themselves_o to_o the_o all-seeing_a eye_n of_o god_n this_o be_v the_o sin_n of_o men-pleasing_a here_o condemn_v in_o servant_n as_o be_v near_o of_o kin_n to_o eye-service_n next_o positive_o by_o show_v that_o then_o do_v they_o serve_v in_o singleness_n of_o heart_n when_o 1._o they_o behave_v themselves_o as_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n know_v that_o they_o behove_v to_o be_v countable_a to_o he_o who_o know_v the_o double_a deal_n even_o of_o the_o very_a heart_n jer._n 17._o 10._o and_o that_o he_o will_v accept_v of_o their_o lawful_a obedience_n unto_o their_o master_n as_o service_n do_v to_o he_o and_o second_o when_o
