true_o pay_v for_o the_o true_a worship_n of_o god_n it_o be_v please_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o such_o may_v look_v for_o a_o blessing_n we_o see_v by_o lamentable_a experience_n with_o we_o that_o where_o tithe_n be_v not_o pay_v there_o be_v but_o beggarly_a maintenance_n for_o the_o minister_n many_o hundred_o of_o year_n have_v the_o custom_n of_o pay_v tithe_n be_v practise_v in_o the_o church_n and_o for_o any_o thing_n yet_o apparent_a no_o better_a course_n hitherto_o can_v be_v find_v use_v for_o where_o this_o payment_n fail_v with_o we_o there_o the_o ministry_n be_v neglect_v minister_n live_v very_o poor_o no_o competency_n be_v leave_v but_o some_o beggarly_a stipend_n of_o some_o four_o six_o eight_o or_o ten_o pound_n numeratis_fw-la pecunijt_fw-la not_o sufficient_a to_o maintain_v the_o life_n of_o a_o poor_a labourer_n the_o church-robber_n steal_v away_o pound_n and_o left_a penny_n carry_v away_o all_o the_o profit_n and_o leave_v a_o poor_a pittance_n and_o the_o same_o also_o sore_o charge_v with_o payment_n which_o may_v cause_v many_o to_o mourn_v for_o the_o grievous_a oppression_n which_o lie_v upon_o they_o most_o heavy_o and_o that_o without_o hope_n of_o recovery_n as_o far_o as_o they_o can_v see_v o_o covetous_a cruelty_n sacrilegious_a impiety_n yield_v yourselves_o therefore_o to_o the_o lord_n wisdom_n motive_n motive_n herein_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n church_n the_o authority_n of_o counsel_n the_o command_n of_o prince_n the_o practice_n of_o our_o right_a meaning_n forefather_n the_o devotion_n of_o our_o late_a ancestor_n though_o in_o other_o thing_n err_a by_o mislead_v yet_o herein_o to_o be_v great_o commend_v they_o be_v not_o after_o our_o mind_n but_o far_o better_a dispose_v though_o they_o know_v less_o but_o we_o will_v needs_o be_v hold_v religious_a and_o yet_o live_v of_o rob_v church_n o_o tempora_fw-la o_fw-la mores_fw-la our_o ancestor_n do_v rob_v themselves_o to_o enrich_v the_o church_n indeed_o in_o many_o thing_n too_o much_o but_o we_o rob_v the_o church_n to_o enrich_v ourselves_o a_o ungodly_a change_n but_o it_o may_v be_v you_o will_v say_v for_o who_o will_v not_o say_v somewhat_o for_o himself_o in_o these_o day_n to_o defend_v or_o excuse_v his_o wickedness_n that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a question_n object_n whither_o the_o payment_n of_o tithe_n be_v lawful_a with_o who_o answer_n sure_o either_o with_o idle_a head_a schismatickes_n or_o sacriledgious_a sinner_n but_o who_o of_o ripe_a judgement_n make_v it_o a_o unlawful_a thing_n to_o maintain_v minister_n by_o
