to_o consecrate_v receive_v and_o distribute_v to_o other_o his_o most_o precious_a body_n and_o blood_n hide_v under_o the_o form_n of_o bread_n and_o wine_n 2._o by_o which_o it_o be_v most_o manifest_a that_o the_o mass_n be_v a_o work_n the_o most_o great_a the_o most_o worthy_a and_o most_o excellent_a that_o possible_o a_o man_n can_v undertake_v or_o enterprise_n see_v the_o priest_n who_o say_v it_o excel_v in_o dignity_n all_o the_o king_n emperor_n and_o priest_n either_o of_o the_o write_a law_n or_o of_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o furthermore_o he_o surpass_v in_o this_o power_n the_o patriarch_n the_o prophet_n yea_o and_o the_o angel_n themselves_o who_o neither_o can_v consecrate_v receive_v nor_o distribute_v to_o other_o the_o body_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n whereas_o the_o priest_n have_v consecrate_v it_o hould_v it_o in_o his_o hand_n receave_v it_o keep_v it_o and_o impart_v it_o to_o other_o 3._o right_o therefore_o do_v we_o say_v that_o this_o noble_a dignity_n of_o priesthood_n can_v with_o no_o pomp_n eloquencie_n or_o ornament_n of_o word_n be_v sufficient_o extol_v for_o it_o surmount_v and_o surpass_v the_o tongue_n of_o the_o most_o subtle_a philosopher_n yea_o the_o top_n and_o height_n of_o all_o excellency_n of_o every_o creature_n if_o you_o compare_v it_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o king_n or_o to_o the_o splendour_n of_o prince_n diadeam_n they_o be_v as_o far_o ininferiour_a thereto_o as_o if_o we_o shall_v compare_v the_o base_a lead_n to_o the_o pure_a and_o fine_a gold_n 3._o but_o what_o need_v i_o stand_v upon_o earthly_a comparison_n when_o the_o celestial_a citizen_n the_o angel_n themselves_o dare_v not_o aspire_v to_o priestly_a authority_n for_o to_o which_o of_o the_o angel_n have_v god_n at_o any_o time_n say_v who_o sin_n you_o shall_v forgive_v they_o be_v forgive_v they_o and_o who_o you_o shall_v retain_v they_o be_v retain_v io._n 20._o yea_o which_o be_v much_o more_o do_v this_o for_o the_o commemoration_n of_o i_o cor._n 11.24_o in_o a_o word_n they_o admire_v and_o tremble_v to_o behold_v that_o which_o the_o priest_n may_v bouldlie_o touch_v handle_v and_o divide_v in_o piece_n world_n even_o she_o i_o say_v albeit_o she_o far_o surpass_v all_o creature_n in_o the_o plenitude_n and_o abundance_n of_o heavenly_a grace_n yet_o even_o she_o herself_o also_o give_v place_n to_o the_o order_n and_o hierarchy_n of_o the_o militant_a church_n for_o have_v all_o other_o honour_n give_v unto_o she_o by_o her_o son_n in_o the_o high_a degree_n yet_o she_o atain_v not_o to_o this_o dignity_n of_o consecrate_v or_o offer_v this_o dreadful_a sacrifice_n true_a it_o be_v that_o she_o in_o pronounce_v eight_o humble_a word_n ecce_fw-la ancilla_fw-la etc._n etc._n once_o only_o corporal_o conceive_v the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o saviour_n and_o redeemer_n of_o all_o the_o world_n but_o priest_n as_o his_o instrument_n be_v daily_o the_o cause_n that_o the_o self_n same_o son_n of_o god_n and_o of_o the_o virgin_n be_v true_o and_o real_o present_a in_o the_o bless_a sacrament_n 5._o the_o high_a king_n of_o heaven_n be_v incarnate_a in_o our_o bless_a lady_n she_o bring_v forth_o to_o the_o world_n a_o saviour_n mortal_a and_o passable_a the_o priest_n offer_v to_o god_n and_o give_v to_o man_n the_o very_a same_o saviour_n now_o impassable_a &_o most_o o_o venerable_a sanctity_n of_o holy_a hand_n o_o high_a and_o happy_a dignity_n o_o great_a and_o only_o wonder_v of_o the_o world_n 6._o nor_o be_v any_o of_o these_o comparison_n either_o arrogant_a or_o hiperbolicall_a but_o true_a and_o justifiable_a in_o all_o propriety_n and_o rigour_n of_o speech_n for_o as_o in_o all_o rigour_n of_o speech_n it_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v confess_v that_o god_n be_v far_o above_o his_o creature_n the_o soul_n much_o more_o noble_a than_o the_o body_n and_o spiritual_a thing_n more_o excellent_a than_o temporal_a so_o in_o all_o rigour_n of_o speech_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v grant_v priestly_a dignity_n to_o be_v the_o high_a dignity_n and_o degree_n of_o this_o life_n for_o as_o much_o as_o it_o be_v immediate_o exercise_v about_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n and_o administration_n of_o divine_a and_o spiritual_a affair_n whereas_o the_o dignity_n of_o prince_n though_o in_o their_o rank_n most_o to_o be_v respect_v yet_o their_o function_n &_o affair_n be_v chief_o touchinge_v temporal_a thing_n of_o the_o end_n for_o the_o which_o mass_n be_v to_o be_v say_v or_o hear_v and_o of_o the_o great_a devotion_n and_o attention_n wherewith_o the_o priest_n be_v to_o celebrate_v the_o same_o chap._n 5._o the_o end_n for_o which_o mass_n be_v to_o be_v say_v or_o hear_v be_v most_o high_a and_o excellent_a
