subtle_a generation_n but_o further_o it_o be_v add_v that_o the_o foot_n of_o this_o beast_n be_v as_o the_o foot_n of_o a_o bear_n the_o leopard_n be_v more_o nimble_a to_o catch_v then_o the_o bear_n but_o the_o bear_n be_v more_o strong_a and_o eager_a to_o hold_v fast_o that_o which_o he_o have_v seize_v upon_o then_o be_v the_o leopard_n both_o these_o property_n this_o generation_n have_v nimble_a to_o catch_v and_o greedy_a to_o hold_v they_o catch_v by_o slight_a but_o hold_v by_o force_n and_o therefore_o in_o catch_v resemble_v the_o leopard_n but_o in_o fast_o hold_v the_o monstrous_a and_o beastly_a generation_n excel_v in_o craft_n covetousness_n pride_n cruelty_n and_o all_o iniquity_n and_o therefore_o not_o to_o be_v esteem_v as_o they_o boast_v themselves_o to_o be_v a_o holy_a catholic_a church_n and_o spouse_n of_o christ_n which_o can_v err_v etc._n etc._n and_o by_o this_o we_o may_v see_v how_o lamentable_o the_o nation_n have_v be_v delude_v and_o beast_n be_v the_o catholic_a church_n and_o the_o second_o beast_n the_o pope_n as_o have_v be_v before_o observe_v and_o he_o do_v great_a wonder_n so_o that_o he_o make_v fire_n to_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n on_o earth_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o man_n first_o by_o the_o wonder_n which_o he_o do_v be_v foreshow_v what_o wonderful_a thing_n the_o prelate_n of_o rome_n that_o false_a prophet_n faith_n that_o his_o determination_n and_o judgement_n of_o any_o controversy_n or_o point_n of_o doctrine_n be_v a_o more_o indifficient_a and_o infallible_a rule_n of_o faith_n than_o be_v the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o these_o and_o the_o like_a gross_a doctrine_n be_v believe_v and_o receive_v be_v great_a wonder_n further_o he_o make_v fire_n to_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n on_o the_o law_n and_o canon_n for_o the_o universal_a church_n to_o be_v observe_v uniform_o of_o all_o nation_n under_o pretence_n of_o the_o insufficiency_n of_o the_o scripture_n for_o the_o government_n of_o the_o church_n and_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o like_a manner_n the_o pope_n in_o his_o wisdom_n see_v it_o necessary_a for_o the_o good_a government_n maintenance_n and_o uphold_v of_o his_o kingdom_n and_o the_o root_n out_o of_o heretic_n and_o seditious_a person_n as_o they_o call_v they_o which_o daily_o increase_v in_o every_o country_n do_v ordain_v and_o command_v 6._o with_o a_o sword_n and_o do_v live_v further_o it_o be_v say_v 15._o verse_n 15._o verse_n 15._o and_o power_n be_v give_v he_o to_o give_v life_n unto_o the_o image_n of_o this_o beast_n that_o the_o be_v so_o understand_v as_o for_o example_n a_o king_n be_v say_v to_o speak_v to_o his_o subject_n when_o he_o set_v forth_o his_o law_n and_o proclamation_n so_o this_o beast_n have_v make_v canon_n shall_v seem_v that_o their_o spiritual_a pontifical_a power_n and_o authority_n which_o they_o exercise_v be_v lawful_a and_o warrantable_a and_o to_o be_v submit_v unto_o they_o be_v gather_v together_o boast_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o representative_a body_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o the_o true_a church_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o they_o have_v power_n to_o make_v
