behooveful_a that_o all_o do_v reverence_n and_o obeisance_n both_o at_o their_o come_n in_o and_o go_v out_o of_o the_o church_n chancel_n or_o chapel_n etc._n etc._n and_o the_o motive_n which_o christ_n body_n there_o etc._n etc._n now_o from_o these_o word_n though_o the_o synod_n do_v not_o express_o and_o direct_o order_n that_o man_n in_o do_v such_o reverence_n and_o obeisance_n do_v set_v their_o face_n towards_o the_o altar_n eastward_o where_o it_o stand_v yet_o we_o learn_v plain_o their_o meaning_n to_o be_v so_o in_o that_o they_o say_v not_o with_o any_o intention_n to_o exhibit_v any_o religious_a worship_n to_o the_o communion_n table_n or_o east_n ergo_fw-la towards_o the_o table_n or_o east_n man_n must_v do_v reverence_n sâ—_z it_o be_v not_o with_o intention_n of_o religious_a worship_n but_o by_o their_o leaf_n intention_n or_o not_o intention_n so_o to_o bow_v so_o to_o do_v reverence_n to_o or_o towards_o this_o or_o that_o place_n be_v no_o less_o then_o flat_a idolatry_n whether_o it_o be_v do_v to_o the_o place_n itself_o or_o thereby_o to_o god_n for_o god_n will_v not_o be_v worship_v in_o or_o by_o either_o a_o image_n or_o any_o representation_n of_o his_o majesty_n or_o divine_a presence_n as_o if_o god_n be_v fix_v to_o this_o or_o that_o place_n all_o which_o be_v forbid_v in_o the_o second_o commandment_n and_o be_v do_v exhibit_v religious_a worship_n yet_o the_o worship_n itself_o so_o exhibit_v in_o the_o place_n of_o god_n worship_n be_v must_v needs_o be_v a_o religious_a yea_o and_o divine_a worship_n so_o as_o here_o be_v flat_a idolatry_n commit_v by_o authority_n of_o this_o holy_a
synod_n or_o will_v they_o call_v this_o adoration_n for_o adoration_n it_o be_v a_o civil_a worship_n this_o be_v no_o less_o a_o absurdity_n and_o gross_a profanation_n of_o thing_n sacred_a to_o give_v they_o a_o civil_a worship_n therefore_o see_v the_o synod_n will_v needs_o have_v a_o worship_n so_o exhibit_v and_o this_o be_v not_o say_v they_o with_o any_o intention_n of_o a_o religious_a worship_n let_v they_o tell_v we_o what_o kind_n of_o worship_n they_o mean_v unless_o their_o meaning_n be_v this_o that_o it_o may_v pass_v for_o a_o religious_a worship_n as_o of_o the_o body_n so_o the_o intention_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v want_v that_o so_o a_o man_n may_v commit_v idolatry_n not_o yield_v a_o religious_a worship_n to_o the_o creature_n outward_o with_o his_o body_n so_o as_o his_o mind_n be_v free_a from_o intention_n that_o he_o mean_v no_o harm_n by_o it_o and_o the_o like_a reason_n there_o be_v for_o bow_v or_o kneel_v at_o the_o communion_n this_o be_v a_o religious_a worship_n or_o adoration_n and_o it_o be_v do_v as_o to_o some_o imaginary_a corporal_a presence_n of_o christ_n on_o the_o table_n or_o to_o the_o element_n themselves_o or_o to_o the_o table_n but_o to_o be_v do_v as_o to_o christ_n corporal_a presence_n the_o syâ—â—d_fw-mi will_v have_v that_o opinion_n forbear_v it_o remain_v then_o that_o the_o adoration_n or_o religious_a worship_n to_o be_v do_v though_o not_o intend_v either_o to_o the_o element_n or_o to_o the_o table_n or_o to_o the_o altar_n or_o to_o the_o east_n for_o now_o all_o the_o communicant_n be_v upon_o their_o knee_n all_o look_v that_o way_n but_o say_v they_o second_o this_o worship_n be_v for_o the_o advancement_n of_o god_n majesty_n and_o to_o give_v he_o alone_o that_o honour_n and_o glory_n that_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o be_v it_o so_o and_o be_v it_o not_o then_o a_o religious_a worship_n that_o be_v so_o exhibit_v that_o be_v do_v for_o the_o advancement_n of_o god_n majesty_n and_o to_o give_v he_o alone_o that_o honour_n and_o glory_n that_o be_v due_a un_fw-fr to_o he_o certain_o this_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o religious_a and_o divine_a worship_n and_o that_o in_o a_o high_a degree_n and_o be_v so_o shall_v the_o synod_n be_v ashamed_a or_o afraid_a to_o allow_v man_n a_o intention_n of_o perform_v this_o religious_a worship_n when_o it_o be_v for_o the_o aâ—vancement_n of_o god_n majesty_n will_v god_n accept_v of_o a_o sacrifice_n that_o want_v a_o heart_n or_o how_o be_v god_n honour_v by_o our_o service_n when_o it_o be_v do_v without_o a_o but_o this_o devotion_n be_v of_o ancient_a custom_n in_o this_o church_n also_o for_o many_o year_n of_o the_o reign_n of_o queen_n elizabeth_n that_o be_v true_a indeed_o i_o myself_o when_o i_o
