due_a order_n 1_o chron._n 15.13_o from_o whence_o it_o appear_v since_o they_o also_o be_v subject_a to_o error_n in_o this_o kind_n that_o it_o will_v not_o be_v safe_a for_o they_o to_o judge_v and_o declare_v the_o decency_n of_o thing_n by_o no_o better_a rule_n than_o their_o own_o will_n and_o pleasure_n but_o by_o such_o rule_n as_o the_o holy_a ghost_n direct_v we_o unto_o in_o this_o case_n which_o be_v scripture_n nature_n civil_a custom_n yea_o and_o i_o willing_o admit_v the_o lawful_a custom_n of_o the_o church_n or_o congregation_n in_o which_o a_o man_n live_v for_o to_o judge_v of_o decency_n by_o all_o these_o rule_n we_o have_v warrant_n in_o scripture_n 1_o cor._n 11.14_o 16._o &_o 14.33_o and_o indeed_o they_o who_o be_v to_o approve_v themselves_o in_o all_o their_o proceed_n as_o paul_n do_v and_o all_o church-minister_n ought_v to_o do_v to_o every_o man_n conscience_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o for_o they_o to_o give_v the_o ground_n forth_o also_o this_o further_a truth_n that_o what_o thing_n the_o church_n see_v by_o the_o former_a rule_n to_o be_v indifferent_a and_o decent_a or_o which_o church-governor_n shall_v declare_v so_o to_o be_v those_o thing_n may_v lawful_o be_v do_v for_o the_o further_a clear_v hereof_o and_o the_o better_a discern_v of_o the_o power_n of_o church-governor_n in_o these_o matter_n it_o may_v be_v observe_v that_o of_o decent_a thing_n lawful_a to_o be_v do_v in_o god_n church_n some_o thing_n be_v 1._o indifferent_a and_o decent_a as_o to_o preach_v in_o a_o gown_n or_o cloak_n whereof_o the_o one_o be_v no_o more_o necessary_a or_o expedient_a than_o the_o other_o 2._o expedient_a and_o decent_a as_o to_o abide_v in_o single_a life_n or_o to_o enter_v into_o marriage_n of_o which_o though_o marriage_n in_o time_n of_o persecution_n be_v indifferent_a yet_o single_a life_n be_v much_o more_o expedient_a to_o prevent_v trouble_n in_o the_o flesh_n 3._o necessary_a and_o decent_a jerusalem_n touch_v those_o thing_n they_o call_v necessary_a to_o wit_n necessary_a during_o the_o time_n of_o the_o offence_n of_o the_o jew_n which_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v avoid_v act._n 15.28_o of_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v expedient_a and_o decent_a the_o church-governor_n have_v power_n to_o declare_v the_o decency_n and_o expediency_n of_o they_o yea_o and_o to_o advise_v and_o persuade_v the_o practice_n thereof_o but_o yet_o not_o to_o give_v a_o order_n or_o law_n to_o bind_v the_o people_n thereunto_o further_o than_o themselves_o shall_v find_v it_o decent_a and_o
