case_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o church_n in_o their_o time_n and_o we_o now_o 1._o they_o use_v such_o ceremony_n only_o as_o both_o at_o the_o first_o be_v divine_a ordinance_n and_o the_o use_n whereof_o be_v warrant_v unto_o they_o by_o divine_a authority_n we_o be_v require_v to_o use_v such_o as_o be_v invention_n not_o humane_a only_o but_o antichristian_a 2._o they_o use_v they_o in_o this_o persuasion_n of_o their_o conscience_n that_o they_o may_v in_o that_o case_n and_o aught_o to_o be_v use_v neither_o do_v they_o ever_o enjoin_v they_o to_o any_o that_o hold_v they_o unlawful_a we_o be_v impose_v upon_o such_o as_o be_v persuade_v in_o their_o conscience_n they_o can_v use_v they_o without_o sin_n 3._o they_o use_v they_o but_o once_o or_o twice_o upon_o of_o my_o reason_n shall_v hold_v i_o void_a of_o charity_n which_o be_v not_o suspicious_a or_o to_o be_v carry_v on_o with_o evil_a surmise_v i_o will_v omit_v that_o send_v a_o answer_n to_o i_o which_o be_o the_o second_o person_n from_o they_o they_o give_v answer_v as_o to_o a_o three_o neither_o will_v i_o insist_v upon_o the_o irony_n which_o may_v seem_v too_o palpable_a &_o among_o godly_a mind_n need_v not_o especial_o in_o disquisition_n of_o a_o truth_n of_o so_o great_a consequence_n only_o i_o put_v my_o brethren_n and_o myself_o in_o mind_n for_o our_o better_a prosecute_n of_o this_o question_n that_o piety_n be_v meek_a and_o gentle_a equal_v herself_o to_o the_o low_a sort_n it_o scorn_v not_o such_o as_o be_v differ_v from_o it_o in_o judgement_n it_o be_v not_o provoke_v to_o anger_n but_o in_o evidence_n and_o demonstration_n of_o the_o truth_n approve_v herself_o to_o every_o man_n conscience_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n now_o as_o there_o be_v none_o end_v of_o make_v many_o book_n so_o god_n wisdom_n shall_v instruct_v we_o by_o contention_n not_o to_o leingthen_v controversy_n for_o which_o cause_n i_o have_v purpose_v to_o be_v short_a in_o reply_n touch_v the_o preface_n or_o general_a answer_n make_v before_o the_o answer_n to_o particular_n it_o may_v as_o i_o suppose_v have_v be_v well_o spare_v as_o be_v to_o small_a purpose_n and_o quite_o beside_o the_o point_n in_o question_n for_o 1._o the_o answerer_n can_v not_o be_v ignorant_a and_o my_o conclusion_n drift_n in_o handle_v matter_n manner_n whole_a course_n of_o prosecute_n in_o every_o argument_n do_v plain_o stretch_v no_o far_o than_o to_o enforce_v conformity_n in_o case_n of_o deprivation_n therefore_o this_o caution_n be_v but_o a_o voluntary_a and_o studious_a wander_a from_o the_o question_n neither_o do_v these_o argument_n labour_v to_o make_v the_o world_n believe_v that_o all_o deprive_v minister_n have_v sin_v in_o suffer_a deprivation_n but_o so_o many_o only_a as_o for_o not_o conform_v have_v suffer_v deprivation_n therefore_o this_o speech_n of_o they_o be_v either_o a_o untrue_a surmise_n or_o a_o scornful_a irony_n 2._o though_o the_o answerer_n shall_v be_v ignorant_a that_o any_o minister_n shall_v suffer_v deprivation_n for_o only_o refuse_v to_o conform_v yet_o all_o the_o faithful_a minister_n of_o these_o our_o part_n do_v know_v the_o contrary_a of_o sundry_a myself_o do_v know_v it_o of_o myself_o and_o other_o and_o who_o can_v be_v ignorant_a that_o diverse_a minister_n have_v be_v deprive_v only_o for_o not_o brethren_n and_o howsoever_o it_o may_v be_v grant_v that_o offence_n and_o hindrance_n to_o edification_n do_v arise_v from_o these_o our_o ceremony_n yet_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o there_o be_v no_o show_n of_o comparison_n between_o the_o offence_n and_o hindrance_n of_o the_o people_n edification_n arise_v from_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o ceremony_n and_o the_o suffer_v of_o deprivation_n for_o not_o conform_v by_o every_o minister_n which_o my_o brethren_n in_o their_o argument_n do_v teach_v now_o for_o the_o jewish_a ceremony_n to_o omit_v my_o brethren_n repetition_n to_o destroy_v then_o edify_v they_o be_v not_o profitable_a for_o order_n or_o decency_n they_o tend_v to_o infringe_v the_o christian_a liberty_n and_o they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o have_v no_o offence_n in_o they_o that_o they_o be_v above_o measure_n scandalous_a all_o which_o i_o have_v so_o prove_v to_o my_o brethren_n in_o my_o first_o and_o second_o reason_n of_o this_o my_o first_o argument_n that_o though_o they_o deny_v and_o wonder_v yet_o they_o meddle_v not_o with_o any_o proof_n thereof_o know_v that_o the_o very_a citation_n of_o the_o place_n will_v confute_v they_o
