in_o the_o verse_n follow_v and_o he_o labour_v to_o draw_v all_o pastor_n from_o this_o vice_n of_o coveteousnesse_n and_o he_o teach_v they_o how_o they_o shall_v exercise_v themselves_o continual_o he_o set_v down_o a_o perfect_a pattern_n for_o all_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n to_o practice_n they_o must_v follow_v after_o godliness_n faith_n love_n meekness_n and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o second_o they_o must_v fight_v the_o good_a fight_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o last_o be_v the_o end_n and_o intent_n that_o they_o may_v lay_v hold_n on_o eternal_a life_n and_o he_o subjoin_v 2._o reason_n why_o timothy_n shall_v do_v so_o as_o first_o because_o he_o be_v call_v thereunto_o of_o god_n second_o because_o he_o have_v profess_v a_o good_a profession_n before_o many_o witness_n therefore_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o shame_n for_o he_o to_o faint_v and_o not_o to_o go_v forward_o and_o continue_v now_o the_o apostle_n conclude_v with_o a_o most_o weighty_a charge_n to_o timothy_n 17._o and_o the_o substance_n of_o the_o charge_n stand_v in_o two_o thing_n the_o first_o be_v in_o keep_v of_o this_o commandment_n without_o spot_n unrebukeable_o and_o the_o second_o be_v the_o constant_a keep_n of_o it_o the_o first_o part_n concern_v the_o matter_n he_o be_v to_o look_v unto_o the_o 2_o be_v concern_v the_o time_n how_o long_o they_o must_v keep_v this_o and_o both_o part_n have_v their_o ground_n and_o reason_n in_o they_o first_o we_o will_v speak_v of_o they_o as_o they_o be_v general_o set_v down_o unto_o we_o in_o the_o first_o &_o 2_o verse_n wherein_o we_o have_v first_o to_o mark_v the_o matter_n of_o the_o charge_n the_o word_n charge_n be_v the_o sane_a word_n which_o the_o apostle_n use_v before_o in_o this_o epistle_n the_o first_o chapter_n wherein_o he_o say_v that_o the_o end_n of_o the_o commandment_n be_v love_n out_o of_o a_o pure_a heart_n where_o the_o word_n here_o call_v a_o commandment_n be_v the_o same_o here_o use_v for_o charge_n so_o that_o this_o be_v not_o a_o exhortation_n or_o request_n but_o it_o be_v a_o straight_a and_o severe_a commandment_n second_o this_o commandment_n be_v strengthen_v by_o a_o double_a authority_n the_o authority_n of_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n first_o i_o charge_v thou_o before_o god_n and_o second_o before_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n three_o this_o authority_n be_v yet_o more_o strengthen_v and_o great_a weyght_n be_v add_v to_o it_o not_o simple_o by_o lay_v god_n or_o christ_n before_o they_o but_o by_o lay_v god_n before_o he_o and_o christ_n before_o he_o each_o of_o they_o in_o the_o particular_a consideration_n of_o they_o which_o be_v this_o that_o he_o do_v quicken_v all_o thing_n the_o particular_a consideration_n of_o christ_n in_o this_o that_o he_o witness_v and_o confess_v a_o good_a confession_n before_o pontius_n pilate_n of_o these_o i_o will_v brief_o speak_v before_o i_o come_v to_o the_o commandment_n itself_o which_o be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o next_o word_n to_o keep_v this_o commandment_n without_o spot_n or_o blameless_a till_o christ_n appear_v again_o first_o concern_v the_o charge_n but_o before_o we_o come_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o particular_n of_o it_o it_o may_v be_v demand_v what_o shall_v move_v the_o apostle_n to_o add_v this_o heavy_a charge_n to_o his_o former_a precept_n especial_o to_o timothy_n who_o he_o so_o much_o commend_v that_o be_v find_v no_o man_n like_o mind_a unto_o he_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n he_o know_v he_o to_o be_v such_o a_o man_n yet_o he_o give_v a_o severe_a charge_n unto_o timothy_n and_o in_o his_o person_n to_o all_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n the_o reason_n i_o take_v to_o be_v twofold_a first_o that_o man_n may_v not_o dally_v with_o this_o doctrine_n as_o though_o it_o may_v be_v alterable_a by_o his_o church_n or_o change_v at_o the_o appointment_n of_o prince_n therefore_o he_o will_v have_v they_o to_o know_v this_o be_v not_o so_o but_o it_o be_v of_o divine_a authority_n which_o none_o dare_v to_o change_v as_o he_o will_v answer_v unto_o god_n and_o to_o christ_n in_o who_o name_n he_o charge_v he_o that_o so_o neither_o timothy_n nor_o any_o other_o potentate_n shall_v think_v these_o precept_n to_o be_v the_o precept_n of_o man_n or_o such_o as_o his_o church_n may_v alter_v at_o their_o discretion_n but_o this_o charge_n be_v give_v we_o to_o this_o end_n to_o force_v we_o all_o and_o most_o chief_o pastor_n to_o observe_v it_o as_o we_o will_v answer_v it_o before_o god_n at_o his_o most_o dreadful_a judgement_n therefore_o no_o command_n of_o prince_n nor_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o loss_n of_o our_o life_n may_v cause_v we_o to_o violate_v this_o truth_n the_o second_o reason_n why_o the_o apostle_n give_v this_o weighty_a charge_n unto_o timothy_n who_o be_v so_o rare_a a_o man_n of_o who_o steadfastness_n
for_o we_o that_o be_v pastor_n to_o teach_v we_o what_o god_n require_v at_o our_o hand_n who_o witness_v a_o good_a confession_n say_v the_o apostle_n a_o better_a confession_n can_v none_o make_v nay_o this_o daunt_v the_o heart_n of_o feeble_a mind_a pastor_n they_o not_o dare_v to_o show_v forth_o their_o faithfulness_n to_o christ_n and_o this_o be_v the_o main_a point_n both_o in_o the_o confession_n of_o christ_n the_o prince_n of_o pastor_n and_o of_o all_o that_o shall_v succeed_v he_o to_o avouch_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v king_n for_o the_o world_n be_v content_a of_o any_o thing_n else_o that_o we_o can_v say_v of_o christ_n they_o will_v allow_v of_o his_o prophetical_a or_o priestly_a office_n christ_n but_o for_o he_o to_o rule_v and_o reign_v that_o they_o will_v not_o endure_v they_o will_v not_o have_v he_o to_o be_v king_n this_o it_o be_v no_o offence_n to_o cesar_n that_o christ_n be_v call_v a_o prophet_n or_o a_o priest_n by_o office_n but_o to_o call_v himself_o a_o king_n that_o bring_v he_o to_o his_o death_n cesar_n can_v not_o endure_v it_o so_o now_o a_o day_n king_n and_o prince_n will_v be_v content_a to_o have_v christ_n call_v by_o any_o name_n that_o can_v be_v give_v he_o beside_o this_o but_o you_o must_v not_o say_v he_o be_v a_o king_n the_o king_n of_o his_o church_n every_o magestrate_n now_o will_v be_v king_n himself_o of_o the_o church_n therefore_o the_o papist_n call_v the_o pope_n the_o king_n of_o the_o church_n and_o those_o likewise_o that_o have_v shake_v off_o the_o pope_n authority_n yet_o themselves_o will_v be_v lord_n in_o god_n house_n and_o if_o pastor_n will_v stand_v to_o maintain_v that_o there_o be_v no_o other_o king_n in_o the_o church_n but_o christ_n alone_o there_o be_v nothing_o under_o heaven_n which_o will_v more_o endanger_v his_o life_n than_o this_o and_o yet_o this_o be_v the_o confession_n we_o must_v stand_v unto_o under_o the_o pain_n of_o lose_v eternal_a life_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o christ_n lose_v his_o life_n for_o and_o for_o this_o we_o must_v be_v willing_a to_o lay_v down_o our_o life_n rather_o than_o to_o suffer_v any_o to_o be_v the_o king_n of_o saint_n but_o christ_n alone_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n call_v this_o a_o good_a confession_n objection_n but_o a_o man_n may_v ask_v i_o why_o this_o be_v call_v a_o good_a confession_n more_o than_o to_o have_v confess_v christ_n to_o be_v the_o only_a high_a priest_n ans_fw-fr and_o prophet_n of_o his_o church_n i_o answer_v that_o both_o these_o acknowledgement_n be_v good_a for_o we_o must_v not_o acknowledge_v any_o more_o high_a priest_n to_o reconcile_v we_o to_o god_n but_o christ_n alone_o and_o he_o be_v the_o only_a prophet_n of_o his_o church_n who_o voice_n must_v only_o be_v hear_v but_o why_o be_v this_o acknowledgement_n of_o he_o to_o be_v king_n call_v to_o be_v a_o good_a confession_n above_o the_o rest_n certain_o there_o be_v great_a reason_n for_o this_o and_o it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n that_o in_o the_o scripture_n of_o god_n this_o title_n be_v give_v to_o he_o more_o than_o any_o other_o title_n all_o the_o king_n of_o israel_n be_v but_o tip_n of_o he_o solomon_n be_v but_o a_o shadow_n of_o he_o therefore_o the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o that_o when_o the_o jew_n shall_v be_v gather_v together_o they_o shall_v submit_v to_o david_n their_o king_n meaning_n christ_n the_o reason_n of_o it_o be_v because_o in_o the_o kingly_a office_n stand_v the_o crown_n of_o his_o glory_n i_o say_v it_o again_o that_o the_o crown_n of_o his_o glory_n stand_v in_o his_o kingly_a office_n how_o â—o_o because_o god_n have_v not_o give_v to_o any_o in_o heaven_n or_o earth_n by_o which_o a_o man_n can_v besaved_a but_o by_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n only_o now_o which_o be_v more_o the_o apostle_n write_v to_o the_o ephesian_n in_o his_o first_o chapter_n speak_v of_o the_o mighty_a power_n of_o god_n that_o raise_v he_o up_o from_o the_o dead_a and_o set_v he_o at_o his_o own_o right_a hand_n in_o the_o heavenly_a place_n far_o above_o all_o principality_n and_o power_n and_o might_n and_o dominion_n and_o every_o name_n that_o be_v name_v not_o only_o in_o this_o world_n but_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o have_v put_v all_o thing_n under_o his_o foot_n and_o give_v he_o to_o be_v head_n over_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o church_n so_o the_o apostle_n conclude_v the_o greatness_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n by_o this_o that_o god_n have_v make_v he_o to_o be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o church_n who_o be_v the_o fullness_n of_o he_o that_o fill_v all_o thing_n so_o that_o this_o exaltation_n of_o christ_n to_o glory_n and_o the_o dignity_n which_o christ_n be_v exalt_v unto_o above_o all_o man_n or_o angel_n this_o be_v the_o chief_a glory_n and_o honour_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n we_o shall_v speak_v somewhat_o more_o of_o this_o hereafter_o how_o that_o all_o the_o other_o office_n of_o christ_n they_o be_v but_o servile_a christ_n do_v abase_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o prophet_n of_o his_o church_n and_o he_o be_v not_o triumph_v in_o heaven_n and_o there_o sit_v at_o the_o right-hand_a of_o god_n and_o herein_o stand_v his_o dignity_n and_o it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a thing_n that_o the_o world_n consider_v it_o not_o those_o which_o be_v the_o former_a office_n to_o be_v prophet_n or_o priest_n in_o his_o church_n stand_v in_o the_o abase_v and_o humiliation_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o in_o his_o kingly_a office_n stand_v his_o exaltation_n this_o be_v his_o dignity_n and_o royal_a prerogative_n he_o that_o meddle_v with_o it_o meddle_v with_o the_o chief_a dignity_n of_o christ_n furthermore_o as_o the_o former_a 2._o office_n of_o christ_n be_v but_o servile_a function_n so_o the_o three_o by_o virtue_n of_o his_o exaltation_n make_v the_o other_o 2._o both_o effectual_a both_o his_o word_n as_o prophet_n or_o of_o his_o suffering_n as_o a_o priest_n depend_v upon_o his_o royal_a power_n for_o except_o he_o have_v power_n over_o all_o thing_n he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o keep_v we_o in_o his_o fear_n nor_o present_v we_o into_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n nor_o make_v it_o effectual_a to_o salvation_n for_o satan_n and_o sin_n and_o the_o world_n will_v prevail_v against_o we_o but_o christ_n by_o his_o power_n be_v strong_a than_o all_o so_o as_o neither_o man_n nor_o angel_n can_v make_v frustrate_a that_o which_o he_o have_v do_v for_o his_o church_n therefore_o he_o be_v say_v to_o be_v declare_v to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n by_o the_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a who_o be_v ever_o able_a to_o loose_v the_o sorrow_n of_o death_n but_o he_o which_o be_v strong_a than_o death_n christ_n therefore_o by_o death_n destroy_v death_n and_o he_o that_o have_v the_o power_n of_o death_n the_o devil_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n christ_n say_v speak_v of_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o exaltation_n to_o wit_n 7._o his_o blessing_n when_o to_o his_o own_o he_o say_v every_o one_o that_o thirst_v shall_v come_v unto_o he_o and_o he_o will_v give_v they_o the_o water_n of_o life_n this_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o spirit_n because_o christ_n be_v not_o yet_o glorify_v for_o until_o he_o be_v set_v in_o his_o kingdom_n he_o can_v not_o dispense_v his_o spirit_n and_o be_v possess_v with_o all_o power_n to_o give_v grace_n so_o this_o work_n of_o his_o kingdom_n be_v that_o which_o we_o must_v take_v to_o heart_n as_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o our_o comfort_n to_o wit_n that_o the_o king_n of_o saint_n as_o he_o be_v call_v in_o the_o revelation_n he_o be_v with_o we_o he_o it_o be_v that_o fight_v our_o battle_n against_o the_o dragon_n and_o the_o whore_n his_o might_n and_o power_n only_o prevail_v and_o the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o that_o if_o we_o will_v fight_v valiant_o christ_n shall_v tread_v satan_n under_o our_o foot_n all_o our_o all_o the_o world_n the_o world_n hear_v he_o preach_v and_o the_o world_n see_v he_o die_v these_o be_v not_o thing_n of_o much_o secrecy_n as_o this_o be_v to_o wit_n this_o man_n so_o base_a on_o earth_n that_o now_o they_o shall_v see_v he_o crown_v with_o honour_n and_o glory_n there_o be_v great_a difference_n between_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o messenger_n here_o and_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o servant_n or_o messenger_n of_o earthly_a king_n for_o the_o one_o be_v whole_o earthly_a &_o the_o other_o be_v whole_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a so_o that_o so_o far_o as_o heaven_n differ_v from_o earth_n so_o far_o differ_v christ_n kingdom_n from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o earth_n his_o kingdom_n stand_v not_o in_o fleshly_a pomp_n but_o it_o stand_v whole_o in_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n of_o it_o so_o this_o bring_v we_o to_o the_o second_o point_n of_o his_o confession_n to_o wit_n that_o his_o kingdom_n be_v not_o of_o this_o world_n the_o jew_n will_v have_v make_v christ_n a_o king_n but_o he_o refuse_v &_o as_o he_o be_v a_o king_n so_o he_o be_v constant_a to_o avouch_v the_o matter_n of_o his_o kingdom_n to_o be_v spiritual_a and_o not_o carnal_a why_o shall_v we_o that_o be_v his_o minister_n make_v his_o glory_n and_o his_o kingdom_n a_o worldly_a kingdom_n do_v we_o not_o thereby_o falsify_v god_n truth_n see_v our_o master_n refuse_v all_o carnal_a and_o worldly_a authority_n but_o only_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n &_o why_o shall_v we_o seek_v after_o a_o carnal_a glory_n and_o pomp_n when_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o his_o kingdom_n be_v not_o of_o this_o world_n certain_o the_o less_o we_o be_v in_o the_o world_n and_o the_o less_o we_o be_v like_a to_o man_n in_o worldly_a honour_n the_o more_o like_a we_o be_v to_o the_o son_n of_o god_n if_o we_o be_v clothe_v with_o grace_n with_o sanctification_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n dwell_v in_o we_o plentiful_o this_o shall_v be_v our_o honour_n and_o thus_o we_o see_v how_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o place_v the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n in_o this_o wherein_o it_o stand_v certain_o all_o earthly_a power_n be_v so_o far_o from_o appertain_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n as_o that_o those_o that_o seek_v it_o walk_v not_o with_o a_o even_a foot_n in_o the_o ministry_n 4._o neither_o do_v he_o the_o part_n of_o a_o faithful_a minister_n the_o apostle_n have_v a_o strange_a say_n and_o yet_o a_o true_a one_o if_o our_o gospel_n be_v hide_v it_o be_v hide_v in_o they_o that_o perish_v who_o the_o god_n of_o this_o world_n have_v blind_v for_o we_o preach_v not_o ourselves_o but_o christ_n jesus_n the_o lord_n and_o ourselves_o your_o servant_n for_o christ_n sake_n and_o that_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o power_n may_v be_v of_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n that_o all_o the_o world_n may_v see_v that_o the_o power_n of_o our_o ministry_n be_v not_o from_o ourselves_o that_o we_o shall_v force_v your_o conscience_n to_o submit_v unto_o the_o son_n of_o god_n for_o our_o ministry_n be_v whole_o spiritual_a as_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o that_o all_o the_o weapon_n of_o our_o warfare_n be_v from_o god_n in_o heaven_n 10._o they_o be_v not_o carnal_a but_o mighty_a through_o god_n it_o be_v god_n that_o make_v the_o gospel_n powerful_a and_o that_o make_v the_o labour_n of_o mortal_a man_n powerful_a to_o subdue_v man_n to_o obedience_n thus_o to_o be_v brief_a the_o second_o point_n of_o christ_n confession_n be_v to_o disclaim_v his_o kingdom_n from_o be_v a_o worldly_a kingdom_n therefore_o we_o shall_v disclaim_v all_o worldly_a pomp_n and_o not_o compare_v christ_n to_o any_o worldly_a petty_a king_n for_o it_o be_v whole_o spiritual_a as_o the_o lord_n say_v to_o his_o and_o this_o be_v the_o second_o reason_n why_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n describe_v the_o power_n of_o god_n after_o this_o manner_n to_o prove_v he_o the_o only_a potentate_n if_o he_o that_o be_v a_o king_n have_v another_o power_n above_o he_o which_o be_v the_o lord_n they_o must_v this_o lord_n be_v the_o only_a potentate_n but_o every_o king_n have_v the_o lord_n above_o he_o so_o as_o he_o can_v hold_v it_o no_o long_o than_o it_o please_v he_o neither_o can_v his_o race_n enjoy_v it_o long_o than_o god_n will_v suffer_v it_o therefore_o the_o lord_n take_v away_o the_o kingdom_n from_o some_o and_o give_v it_o to_o other_o he_o take_v away_o authority_n from_o the_o house_n of_o david_n and_o give_v it_o to_o jeroboam_fw-la and_o for_o the_o iniquity_n of_o jeroboam_fw-la knowledge_n of_o god_n as_o they_o shall_v and_o if_o god_n give_v such_o power_n to_o wicked_a man_n it_o be_v to_o make_v they_o his_o firebrand_n to_o plague_v the_o contemner_n of_o god_n and_o despiser_n of_o his_o word_n but_o to_o go_v far_o this_o be_v not_o only_o a_o lesson_n to_o teach_v we_o not_o to_o be_v afraid_a of_o man_n terror_n and_o to_o reverence_v the_o who_o god_n have_v set_v in_o authority_n over_o we_o but_o likewise_o it_o seru_v we_o for_o another_o lesson_n and_o that_o be_v this_o that_o king_n and_o superior_n we_o be_v to_o obey_v in_o the_o lord_n &_o no_o far_o for_o they_o have_v a_o lord_n over_o they_o who_o have_v make_v they_o our_o lord_n therefore_o i_o must_v obey_v they_o but_o in_o the_o lord_n this_o we_o must_v not_o obey_v the_o king_n under_o he_o and_o be_v it_o not_o high_a treason_n to_o obey_v they_o against_o god_n so_o all_o obedience_n that_o be_v give_v unto_o prince_n under_o pretence_n of_o subjection_n to_o they_o be_v contrary_a to_o god_n will_v be_v rebellion_n against_o god_n and_o thus_o much_o concern_v the_o power_n of_o god_n that_o he_o be_v the_o king_n of_o king_n and_o lord_n of_o lord_n now_o only_o bless_v we_o have_v hear_v already_o how_o that_o he_o be_v the_o only_a potentate_n now_o we_o shall_v see_v that_o none_o be_v so_o bless_a as_o he_o and_o blessedness_n can_v be_v expect_v from_o none_o but_o from_o he_o alone_o for_o who_o can_v make_v a_o man_n bless_v that_o be_v not_o bless_v in_o himself_o but_o god_n alone_o therefore_o it_o be_v vain_a to_o think_v to_o have_v a_o happy_a &_o bless_a estate_n from_o any_o prince_n under_o heaven_n except_o from_o god_n alone_o for_o only_o he_o which_o have_v blessedness_n without_o measure_n can_v bestow_v it_o but_o let_v we_o consider_v how_o the_o apostle_n prove_v it_o by_o two_o thing_n first_o because_o he_o only_o have_v immortality_n and_o second_o because_o he_o only_o dwell_v in_o that_o light_n that_o no_o man_n can_v approach_v unto_o and_o from_o these_o two_o he_o conclude_v that_o he_o be_v bless_v and_o he_o only_o can_v give_v it_o he_o that_o have_v life_n and_o a_o eternal_a life_n that_o be_v so_o glorious_a and_o a_o life_n which_o be_v light_n and_o be_v such_o as_o make_v the_o glory_n of_o he_o that_o have_v it_o incomprehensible_a certain_o that_o must_v be_v unspeakable_a felicity_n and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o point_n of_o true_a felicity_n and_o this_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o all_o creature_n be_v say_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o vanity_n because_o they_o be_v subject_a to_o death_n so_o that_o all_o thing_n although_o they_o shall_v have_v their_o heart_n desire_v in_o the_o world_n yet_o they_o can_v be_v happy_a for_o when_o they_o die_v their_o happiness_n cease_v therefore_o to_o be_v true_o happy_a be_v first_o to_o be_v immortal_a which_o be_v not_o only_o to_o be_v exempt_v from_o death_n but_o to_o be_v in_o such_o a_o estate_n where_o death_n can_v come_v and_o to_o have_v corruption_n swallow_v up_o of_o life_n when_o god_n shall_v be_v make_v glorious_a in_o they_o that_o believe_v this_o make_v man_n true_o happy_a therefore_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n have_v both_o in_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n lament_v the_o misery_n of_o man_n in_o this_o that_o his_o life_n be_v but_o threescore_n and_o ten_o and_o it_o be_v quick_o go_v as_o a_o race_n that_o be_v run_v so_o vain_a a_o thing_n be_v man_n and_o if_o we_o have_v nothing_o else_o to_o humble_v we_o but_o this_o namely_o our_o corruption_n and_o mortality_n it_o be_v argument_n enough_o to_o know_v our_o base_a estate_n and_o far_o from_o be_v happy_a in_o this_o world_n in_o that_o we_o be_v not_o exempt_v from_o death_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o god_n make_v the_o vanity_n of_o man_n who_o heap_v up_o riches_n and_o can_v tell_v who_o shall_v enjoy_v they_o as_o the_o rich_a glutton_n in_o the_o gospel_n who_o say_v soul_n take_v thy_o ease_n thou_o have_v good_n lay_v up_o for_o many_o year_n when_o christ_n tell_v he_o he_o have_v not_o a_o day_n to_o live_v than_o thou_o fool_n who_o shall_v those_o good_n be_v the_o scripture_n mock_v at_o these_o vain_a desire_n so_o that_o be_v a_o man_n what_o he_o can_v be_v in_o this_o world_n yet_o his_o mortality_n make_v he_o wretched_a and_o unhappy_a therefore_o in_o regard_n god_n be_v immortal_a therefore_o he_o be_v only_o bless_v but_o it_o may_v be_v object_v be_v not_o the_o angel_n immortal_a objection_n why_o then_o do_v you_o say_v god_n be_v only_o say_v to_o have_v as_o the_o matter_n be_v the_o immortality_n of_o angel_n and_o of_o man_n it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o soul_n themselves_o nor_o in_o the_o angel_n themselves_o what_o then_o even_o from_o god_n alone_o as_o it_o be_v say_v act_n 17._o that_o in_o he_o we_o live_v move_v and_o have_v our_o be_v and_o if_o god_n shall_v but_o withdraw_v his_o up-holding_a hand_n and_o power_n neither_o shall_v
