when_o they_o say_v tell_v we_o be_v it_o lawful_a to_o give_v tribute_n unto_o gaesar_n he_o may_v have_v reply_v no_o it_o be_v not_o caesar_n be_v a_o infidel_n or_o heathen_a or_o wicked_a man_n and_o as_o such_o be_v fall_v from_o all_o dominion_n and_o therefore_o have_v no_o right_a to_o demand_v tribute_n of_o the_o people_n nor_o they_o any_o obligation_n upon_o they_o to_o pay_v he_o any_o but_o so_o far_o be_v christ_n from_o give_v they_o such_o a_o answer_n that_o he_o acknowledge_v tribute_n to_o be_v caesar_n right_a and_o command_v it_o to_o be_v pay_v unto_o he_o and_o though_o he_o be_v the_o son_n of_o that_o god_n from_o who_o caesar_n receive_v his_o imperial_a power_n and_o authority_n yet_o when_o the_o officer_n demand_v it_o of_o he_o rather_o than_o he_o will_v deprive_v he_o of_o his_o right_n he_o wrought_v a_o miracle_n that_o he_o may_v have_v wherewith_o to_o pay_v it_o which_o show_v the_o admirable_a justice_n and_o integrity_n of_o our_o lord_n in_o that_o he_o be_v careful_a to_o secure_v and_o preserve_v all_o man_n right_n and_o property_n if_o any_o man_n refuse_v to_o submit_v unto_o his_o excellent_a law_n and_o to_o come_v over_o to_o his_o religion_n he_o tell_v he_o he_o shall_v have_v no_o part_n nor_o portion_n in_o his_o kingdom_n but_o then_o to_o avoid_v mistake_n he_o declare_v that_o his_o kingdom_n be_v not_o of_o this_o world_n not_o a_o earthly_a but_o a_o heavenly_a kingdom_n and_o all_o right_n to_o this_o he_o affirm_v be_v found_v in_o grace_n that_o it_o be_v the_o free_a and_o royal_a gift_n of_o god_n and_o the_o purchase_n of_o his_o meritorious_a holiness_n and_o suffering_n there_o be_v nothing_o in_o man_n to_o merit_v so_o great_a a_o good_a the_o thing_n he_o require_v of_o they_o be_v necessary_a disposition_n to_o qualify_v or_o fit_v they_o for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o not_o the_o cause_n move_v god_n to_o confer_v it_o upon_o they_o so_o that_o though_o a_o pious_a and_o holy_a conversation_n be_v the_o great_a condition_n of_o a_o crown_n hereafter_o and_o so_o absolute_o necessary_a that_o it_o can_v be_v obtain_v without_o it_o and_o though_o it_o be_v a_o ornament_n and_o security_n to_o he_o that_o have_v one_o upon_o earth_n a_o ornament_n as_o it_o give_v a_o admirable_a lustre_n to_o his_o greatness_n and_o render_v he_o excellent_a in_o his_o person_n as_o well_o as_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o his_o royal_a office_n a_o security_n as_o it_o indear_v the_o providence_n of_o god_n and_o engage_v his_o tender_a care_n of_o he_o as_o it_o discourage_v wicked_a and_o traitorous_a man_n from_o attempt_v or_o enterprise_v any_o thing_n against_o he_o who_o piety_n make_v he_o dear_a to_o heaven_n render_v he_o so_o high_o the_o joy_n and_o delight_n of_o the_o bless_a angel_n that_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o offer_v themselves_o as_o a_o guard_n and_o defence_n to_o he_o and_o as_o it_o procure_v he_o the_o love_n honour_n and_o admiration_n of_o all_o good_a man_n yet_o the_o high_a piety_n or_o holiness_n give_v no_o man_n a_o title_n to_o that_o dominion_n or_o sovereignty_n upon_o earth_n to_o which_o he_o have_v not_o a_o antecedent_n right_o nor_o do_v the_o want_n of_o it_o deprive_v he_o that_o have_v it_o of_o that_o right_a christ_n offer_v indeed_o a_o heavenly_a kingdom_n upon_o condition_n of_o a_o good_a life_n but_o a_o ill_a one_o forfeit_v no_o man_n right_a to_o a_o earthly_a and_o see_v our_o lord_n have_v say_v nothing_o in_o favour_n of_o this_o tenure_n but_o on_o their_o contrary_n that_o which_o overthrow_v and_o destroy_v it_o it_o can_v be_v true_a that_o dominion_n be_v found_v in_o grace_n for_o he_o have_v not_o found_v it_o so_o who_o be_v the_o great_a law_n giver_n to_o his_o church_n no_o humane_a authority_n can_v do_v it_o without_o invade_v his_o prerogative_n nay_o as_o i_o observe_v before_o without_o destroy_v his_o religion_n because_o experience_n show_v we_o most_o man_n be_v mighty_o bias_v or_o lead_v by_o their_o
