their_o tongue_n perhaps_o but_o yet_o with_o david_n fool_n they_o say_v it_o in_o their_o heart_n the_o scripture_n be_v not_o god_n word_n yea_o there_o be_v no_o god_n at_o all_o to_o be_v author_n of_o the_o scripture_n other_o there_o be_v who_o though_o they_o do_v not_o question_v all_o the_o scripture_n yet_o they_o do_v not_o believe_v it_o all_o they_o give_v not_o absolute_a belief_n to_o every_o part_n and_o parcel_n of_o it_o and_o since_o the_o word_n have_v in_o it_o precept_n promise_n and_o threaten_n and_o there_o be_v some_o that_o question_n one_o and_o some_o another_o of_o they_o we_o will_v proceed_v with_o they_o distinct_o and_o in_o order_n 1._o some_o there_o be_v who_o do_v not_o give_v assent_n to_o the_o divine_a authority_n of_o all_o the_o the_o messenger_n that_o he_o come_v out_o from_o god_n be_v send_v from_o god_n and_o this_o persuasion_n as_o i_o take_v it_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o the_o reception_n and_o under_o that_o respect_n be_v mention_v here_o they_o receive_v my_o word_n say_v christ_n but_o how_o come_v this_o to_o pass_v they_o be_v persuade_v that_o i_o come_v from_o god_n the_o point_n be_v obvious_a doctrine_n the_o good_a reception_n of_o the_o message_n by_o the_o people_n depend_v upon_o their_o good_a opinion_n of_o the_o messenger_n their_o sure_a persuasion_n that_o he_o be_v send_v to_o they_o from_o god_n the_o word_n of_o christ_n himself_o you_o see_v be_v entertain_v on_o this_o account_n as_o he_o suggest_v in_o his_o expression_n to_o his_o father_n here_o i_o have_v give_v they_o the_o word_n which_o thou_o give_v i_o and_o they_o have_v receive_v they_o how_o so_o why_o they_o have_v know_v very_o or_o sure_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d they_o have_v know_v it_o convince_v his_o hearer_n that_o he_o come_v from_o god_n as_o i_o may_v give_v you_o instance_n enough_o but_o they_o be_v know_v and_o this_o both_o he_o and_o the_o apostle_n because_o they_o do_v know_v the_o people_n good_a reception_n the_o message_n depend_v much_o etc._n etc._n use_v i_o may_v apply_v this_o to_o the_o minister_n but_o i_o will_v rather_o turn_v it_o to_o the_o people_n be_v it_o so_o that_o the_o good_a reception_n of_o the_o message_n by_o the_o people_n depend_v much_o upon_o their_o good_a opinion_n of_o the_o messenger_n then_o let_v it_o be_v a_o caution_n to_o you_o that_o you_o do_v not_o overlight_o entertain_v a_o ill_a opinion_n of_o those_o who_o come_v from_o god_n to_o you_o for_o you_o yourselves_o will_v be_v the_o loser_n by_o it_o it_o will_v hinder_v the_o success_n and_o efficacy_n of_o their_o teach_n and_o therefore_o follow_v the_o apostle_n counsel_n 1_o tim._n 5.19_o against_o a_o elder_a receive_v not_o a_o accusation_n but_o before_o two_o or_o three_o witness_n if_o there_o be_v witness_n sufficient_a and_o the_o fault_n deserve_v it_o pursue_v it_o follow_v it_o but_o if_o not_o do_v not_o receive_v it_o let_v not_o this_o respect_n and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n have_v speak_v of_o his_o legislative_a power_n before_o he_o come_v to_o this_o judiciary_n power_n james_n 4.12_o there_o be_v one_o lawgiver_n say_v he_o and_o what_o can_v he_o but_o give_v the_o law_n yes_o he_o can_v execute_v the_o law_n too_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v add_v present_o who_o be_v able_a both_o to_o save_v and_o to_o and_o their_o profit_n as_o long_o as_o there_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o hinder_v the_o good_a and_o comfort_n and_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n either_o within_o they_o or_o without_o they_o he_o keep_v this_o power_n in_o his_o hand_n to_o curb_v they_o and_o to_o keep_v they_o down_o and_o so_o as_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o he_o must_v reign_v till_o all_o those_o enemy_n be_v under_o damnation_n to_o the_o people_n but_o go_v and_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o they_o and_o baptize_v they_o that_o they_o way_n be_v save_v and_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o the_o execution_n of_o world_n may_v believe_v that_o thou_o send_v i_o but_o if_o our_o saviour_n have_v intend_v justify_v faith_n in_o these_o word_n in_o probability_n he_o will_v have_v say_v that_o the_o world_n may_v believe_v in_o i_o they_o be_v but_o poor_a believer_n that_o come_v no_o further_o then_o bare_o to_o assent_v to_o this_o that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v send_v of_o god_n the_o father_n a_o reprobate_n may_v do_v this_o beside_o which_o carry_v i_o exceed_o i_o think_v the_o world_n be_v here_o apparent_o oppose_v to_o such_o as_o do_v believe_v and_o shall_v believe_v with_o a_o themselves_o and_o hence_o be_v this_o petition_n of_o our_o saviour_n here_o that_o they_o may_v all_o be_v one_o etc._n etc._n that_o so_o the_o world_n although_o it_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o i_o yet_o see_v the_o consent_n and_o love_n and_o unity_n of_o my_o disciple_n of_o they_o that_o own_o i_o and_o profess_v i_o may_v be_v even_o force_v to_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v that_o i_o &_o through_o he_o than_o the_o perpetual_a hot_a and_o endless_a controversy_n and_o dispute_n that_o have_v be_v among_o the_o teacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n nay_o if_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o agree_v among_o themselves_o say_v they_o that_o be_v without_o even_o let_v they_o all_o alone_a we_o will_v carry_v till_o they_o do_v and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n still_o be_v very_o circumspect_a to_o manifest_v agreement_n and_o consent_n among_o themselves_o in_o that_o which_o they_o deliver_v to_o the_o people_n because_o they_o know_v of_o how_o great_a consequence_n it_o sure_a to_o have_v and_o therefore_o let_v we_o take_v comfort_n i_o speak_v not_o now_o of_o such_o a_o justice_n as_o respect_v the_o merit_n of_o the_o work_n for_o this_o we_o be_v deliver_v from_o but_o i_o speak_v of_o such_o a_o justice_n as_o respect_v the_o truth_n of_o his_o promise_n by_o which_o he_o have_v engage_v himself_o that_o he_o will_v forgive_v our_o sin_n that_o he_o a_o very_a good_a case_n his_o righteousness_n lie_v at_o stake_n for_o all_o those_o by_o reason_n of_o his_o covenant_n and_o engagement_n to_o we_o indeed_o before_o he_o make_v the_o covenant_n he_o be_v free_a he_o may_v have_v do_v according_a to_o his_o own_o pleasure_n but_o have_v make_v it_o he_o be_v bind_v he_o be_v hold_v to_o it_o and_o may_v not_o vary_v now_o he_o must_v
