course_n of_o the_o most_o pious_a prince_n who_o have_v reserve_v the_o deliberation_n about_o religion_n and_o church_n matter_n and_o the_o deposition_n of_o bishop_n which_o so_o close_o affect_v church_n communion_n to_o convocation_n and_o synod_n of_o bishop_n and_o clergy_n and_o when_o these_o proceed_v to_o sentence_n it_o more_o direct_o affect_v the_o concern_v party_n church_n communion_n and_o church_n governor_n be_v more_o direct_o under_o the_o churchmen_n cognizance_n and_o not_o only_o indirect_o and_o by_o the_o by_o as_o it_o may_v engage_v the_o deprive_v person_n when_o not_o bind_v to_o it_o otherwise_o to_o yield_v and_o acquiesce_v in_o voluntary_a compliance_n for_o civil_a interest_n but_o suppose_v a_o concurrence_n of_o both_o these_o power_n and_o that_o the_o deprivation_n of_o the_o rightful_a state_n be_v confirm_v by_o synodical_a concurrence_n yet_o i_o observe_v in_o the_o last_o place_n that_o this_o deprivation_n by_o synod_n be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o bar_v or_o discharge_v bishop_n or_o minister_n from_o the_o foresay_a exercise_n of_o their_o spiritual_a ministration_n in_o the_o above_o mention_v case_n bishop_n and_o metropolitan_n be_v not_o more_o subject_a and_o dependent_a on_o synod_n than_o presbyter_n and_o people_n be_v on_o their_o bishop_n our_o lord_n himself_o and_o his_o holy_a apostle_n have_v appoint_v bishop_n in_o his_o church_n and_o call_v for_o our_o subjection_n and_o obedience_n to_o they_o but_o this_o submission_n of_o priest_n and_o people_n to_o their_o bishop_n be_v with_o a_o salvo_n to_o their_o holy_a religion_n and_o its_o article_n and_o interest_n and_o if_o any_o bishop_n go_v against_o the_o truth_n or_o law_n of_o christ_n or_o against_o the_o interest_n of_o soul_n and_o of_o true_a religion_n we_o be_v not_o to_o follow_v they_o or_o to_o depend_v on_o they_o therein_o to_o stick_v to_o any_o necessary_a christian_a doctrine_n worship_n or_o practice_n christ_n faithful_a people_n and_o minister_n must_v break_v even_o with_o their_o own_o bishop_n hold_v even_o they_o anathema_n as_o st._n 8._o paul_n direct_v when_o they_o will_v lead_v they_o contrary_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o apostle_n as_o i_o note_v before_o and_o shall_v show_v more_o full_o 4._o afterward_o and_o so_o must_v they_o with_o any_o other_o bishop_n or_o number_n and_o synod_n of_o bishop_n in_o like_a case_n all_o exercise_n and_o administration_n of_o church_n authority_n and_o jurisdiction_n be_v tie_v to_o rule_n not_o only_o to_o rule_n of_o the_o church_n own_o make_n or_o ecclesiastical_a canon_n but_o above_o all_o and_o in_o the_o first_o place_n to_o the_o rule_v lay_v down_o by_o christ_n himself_o and_o all_o the_o validity_n of_o church_n act_n in_o way_n of_o external_a judicature_n in_o synod_n or_o otherwise_o be_v so_o far_o as_o they_o go_v by_o they_o or_o do_v nothing_o against_o they_o thus_o it_o be_v in_o decree_v rite_n and_o ceremony_n or_o determine_v controversy_n of_o faith_n wherein_o though_o the_o church_n have_v authority_n yet_o be_v it_o thus_o limit_a and_o have_v no_o authority_n as_o our_o church_n 20._o declare_v to_o ordain_v any_o thing_n contrary_a to_o god_n word_n even_o general_a council_n be_v bound_v by_o this_o limitation_n and_o thing_n ordain_v by_o they_o 21._o say_v the_o thirty_o nine_o article_n again_o as_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n have_v neither_o strength_n nor_o authority_n unless_o it_o may_v be_v declare_v that_o be_v take_v out_o of_o holy_a scripture_n and_o thus_o it_o be_v also_o in_o matter_n of_o censure_n or_o ecclesiastical_a sentence_n judicial_o pass_v therein_o upon_o person_n whether_o laic_n or_o ecclesiastic_n we_o in_o the_o 2._o exercise_n of_o our_o apostolical_a power_n can_v do_v nothing_o against_o the_o truth_n or_o in_o punish_v and_o censure_v any_o for_o faithful_a observance_n thereof_o but_o all_o our_o power_n be_v for_o the_o truth_n and_o to_o be_v exercise_v in_o its_o behalf_n by_o punish_v and_o not_o spare_v not_o those_o who_o stand_v to_o but_o those_o who_o defect_n from_o it_o 2_o cor._n 13._o 8._o when_o the_o church_n speak_v to_o we_o in_o external_n judicature_n we_o must_v hear_v it_o as_o our_o lord_n â—7_n order_n but_o we_o must_v hear_v it_o speak_v under_o christ_n never_o against_o he_o so_o that_o if_o it_o excommunicate_v any_o for_o stick_v firm_a to_o any_o part_n of_o his_o holy_a religion_n with_o who_o for_o that_o very_a adherence_n sake_n he_o require_v his_o faithful_a follower_n to_o hold_v communion_n or_o if_o it_o deprive_v or_o discharge_v any_o minister_n from_o administer_a the_o same_o in_o any_o case_n where_o he_o have_v charge_v they_o to_o keep_v on_o that_o ministration_n its_o power_n here_o be_v set_v up_o against_o he_o and_o its_o act_n have_v no_o power_n to_o bind_v those_o who_o be_v concern_v in_o they_o
