praevaricate_v and_o alter_v the_o state_n of_o the_o question_n his_o last_o argument_n in_o that_o place_n be_v from_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o professor_n of_o leyden_n and_o amesius_n to_o sometime_o necessary_a if_o it_o may_v be_v do_v to_o associate_v with_o other_o church_n for_o mutual_a assistance_n and_o to_o meet_v in_o synod_n and_o counsel_n together_o as_o do_v the_o church_n of_o antioch_n and_o jerusalem_n and_o the_o church_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n and_o so_o other_o nation_n be_v bind_v in_o some_o case_n to_o associate_v with_o other_o kingdom_n and_o be_v actual_o associate_v with_o they_o as_o also_o be_v solomon_n with_o the_o king_n of_o egypt_n and_o hiram_n king_n of_o tyre_n but_o be_v england_n not_o to_o act_v as_o a_o independent_a kingdom_n from_o france_n spain_n scotland_n or_o the_o kingdom_n of_o israel_n or_o independent_a save_v the_o article_n of_o association_n for_o all_o *_o 7._o that_o they_o add_v in_o the_o same_o place_n as_o a_o prevention_n of_o a_o objection_n that_o as_o the_o mutual_a consent_n of_o particular_a man_n and_o family_n orderly_o into_o church_n give_v they_o power_n and_o authority_n ecclesiastical_a one_o over_o another_o object_n without_o destroy_v the_o liberty_n of_o such_o person_n and_o family_n but_o help_v of_o it_o so_o also_o in_o this_o association_n of_o church_n their_o mutual_a consent_n orderly_o regulate_v give_v they_o a_o sufficient_a call_n for_o their_o elder_n to_o exercise_v their_o power_n of_o elder_n over_o the_o congregation_n in_o common_a without_o impeach_v the_o liberty_n etc._n etc._n but_o 1._o this_o similitude_n do_v not_o true_o represent_v these_o brethren_n opinion_n answ_n who_o hold_v that_o the_o catholic_a all_o the_o corporation_n of_o the_o kingdom_n be_v gather_v yet_o be_v they_o not_o a_o parliament_n and_o supreme_a court_n simple_o because_o they_o be_v mere_o gather_v together_o but_o it_o must_v be_v on_o former_a consent_n according_a to_o such_o law_n whereby_o they_o become_v a_o new_a and_o a_o superior_a body_n to_o all_o the_o kingdom_n both_o joint_o so_o long_o as_o they_o take_v from_o the_o end_n fine_a the_o author_n of_o this_o opinion_n aim_v at_o {non-roman}_o from_o the_o issue_n of_o the_o opinion_n itself_o 4._o and_o from_o the_o true_a scope_n of_o church_n government_n the_o former_a seem_v to_o be_v either_o to_o find_v the_o right_n of_o such_o presbyterial_a government_n as_o be_v now_o endeavour_v and_o to_o deprive_v particular_a church_n of_o entire_a power_n in_o themselves_o or_o at_o least_o of_o independency_n in_o their_o government_n from_o other_o church_n or_o else_o it_o be_v to_o lay_v groundwork_n of_o a_o more_o effectual_a cure_n and_o remedy_n then_o hitherto_o for_o all_o distemper_n of_o particular_a church_n whether_o national_a or_o other_o touch_v the_o first_o what_o will_v it_o profit_v if_o they_o gain_v by_o this_o notion_n the_o jurisdiction_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n for_o a_o while_n and_o afterward_o lose_v their_o own_o and_o other_o liberty_n and_o perhaps_o soul_n also_o for_o the_o former_a be_v lose_v truth_n will_v be_v soon_o oppress_v as_o be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o the_o papacy_n of_o which_o straightway_o again_o absolute_a independency_n so_o as_o no_o other_o church_n shall_v have_v any_o thing_n to_o do_v with_o a_o err_a or_o delinquent_a church_n be_v disavow_v both_o in_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n by_o the_o great_a patron_n of_o that_o way_n in_o this_o kingdom_n and_o beyond_o the_o sea_n *_o 6_o concerning_o the_o second_o all_o distemper_n of_o church_n as_o far_o as_o the_o apostolical_a church_n be_v cure_v of_o they_o have_v be_v heal_v sufficient_o without_o this_o opinion_n yea_o and_o better_o than_o by_o those_o who_o have_v own_v and_o practise_v this_o principle_n for_o they_o have_v cure_v some_o but_o make_v other_o great_a and_o strong_a than_o in_o the_o issue_n of_o it_o open_v a_o wide_a gap_n my_o baynes_n who_o the_o london_n minister_n quote_v with_o honour_n say_v diocese_n trial_n q._n 1._o pag._n 21._o that_o those_o who_o subject_n
