lay_v down_o thereof_o by_o the_o proph._n daniel_n in_o his_o seven_o chapter_n the_o fowrth_a beast_n say_v he_o mean_v the_o roman_a empire_n be_v grim_a and_o horrible_a and_o marvellous_a strong_a it_o have_v great_a iron_n tooth_n 7._o it_o devour_v and_o destroy_v and_o stamp_v the_o residue_n under_o his_o foot_n it_o be_v unlike_o the_o other_o beast_n that_o be_v before_o it_o for_o it_o have_v ten_o horn_n which_o ten_o horn_n be_v expound_v in_o the_o 24._o verse_n of_o the_o same_o chapter_n to_o be_v ten_o king_n which_o shall_v grow_v out_o of_o the_o ruin_n of_o this_o empire_n and_o therefore_o the_o ten_o horn_n be_v here_o lay_v down_o to_o have_v upon_o they_o ten_o crown_n of_o these_o king_n and_o kingdom_n we_o shall_v speak_v hereafter_o it_o have_v the_o possession_n and_o proceed_n the_o might_n and_o majesty_n the_o condition_n and_o cruelty_n of_o the_o former_a monarchy_n but_o also_o in_o all_o evil_a and_o tyranny_n far_o and_o much_o excede_v they_o daniel_n unto_o this_o place_n give_v very_o great_a light_n who_o liken_v the_o babylonian_a monarchy_n to_o a_o lion_n the_o persian_a to_o a_o bear_n the_o macedonian_a to_o a_o leopard_n teach_v we_o that_o s._n john_n in_o this_o roman_a monarchy_n foresee_v the_o mouth_n and_o foot_n the_o pride_n and_o pace_n the_o state_n and_o step_n the_o rage_n and_o raven_a of_o
