peculiar_a to_o the_o apostolical_a dignity_n and_o this_o may_v suffice_v for_o the_o enforcement_n of_o this_o second_o argument_n but_o there_o be_v one_o block_n that_o must_v be_v remove_v it_o be_v plausible_o object_v by_o mr._n allen_n and_o mr._n shepheard_n in_o there_o answer_v to_o the_o nine_o question_n that_o minister_n though_o officer_n to_o their_o own_o flock_n yet_o may_v do_v the_o act_n of_o their_o office_n towards_o other_o as_o a_o steward_n of_o a_o house_n act_v as_o a_o officer_n in_o the_o entertainment_n of_o stranger_n etc._n etc._n and_o thus_o minister_n may_v preach_v as_o officer_n to_o other_o and_o yet_o be_v only_a officer_n to_o their_o own_o congregation_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v 1._o this_o concern_v not_o our_o brethren_n here_o who_o do_v positive_o determine_v that_o minister_n preach_v to_o other_o do_v preach_v only_o as_o gift_a man_n not_o as_o officer_n p._n 18._o so_o that_o i_o may_v without_o disparagement_n wave_v this_o sometime_o for_o the_o majesty_n fervour_n and_o gravity_n which_o be_v to_o attend_v the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o gospel_n sometime_o for_o that_o power_n which_o a_o officer_n have_v over_o his_o people_n and_o say_v they_o we_o judge_v that_o our_o brethren_n take_v authoritative_a preach_n in_o this_o sense_n because_o they_o oppose_v it_o to_o brotherly_a charitative_a preach_v but_o this_o be_v to_o seek_v a_o knot_n in_o a_o bulrush_n for_o our_o meaning_n be_v sufficient_o plain_a and_o we_o do_v not_o speak_v of_o a_o authoritative_a preach_n as_o if_o we_o do_v allow_v any_o public_a preach_n which_o be_v not_o authoritative_a but_o only_o put_v it_o as_o a_o character_n of_o and_o convertible_a with_o public_a preach_n unless_o in_o case_n of_o necessity_n and_o so_o the_o assembly_n express_v themselves_o clear_o and_o full_o we_o distinguish_v say_v they_o between_o a_o private_a brotherly_o teach_v etc._n etc._n and_o a_o authoritative_a publick-teaching_a and_o this_o be_v all_o i_o shall_v say_v for_o the_o state_v of_o the_o question_n which_o now_o i_o come_v to_o discuss_v and_o i_o shall_v do_v it_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d in_o this_o prove_v this_o case_n be_v not_o unlike_o our_o college_n when_o the_o fellow_n have_v a_o power_n to_o choose_v etc._n etc._n yet_o under_o the_o direction_n and_o regulation_n of_o the_o master_n who_o have_v a_o power_n to_o choose_v or_o refuse_v the_o person_n choose_v by_o the_o fellow_n can_v any_o sober_a man_n in_o this_o case_n say_v that_o the_o sole_a power_n of_o choose_v be_v in_o
