a_o act_n for_o the_o apprehension_n of_o thomas_n cook_n esq_n whereas_o thomas_n cook_n of_o grays-inn_n in_o the_o county_n of_o middlesex_n esq_n have_v be_v apprehend_v for_o treason_n by_o order_n from_o the_o council_n of_o state_n and_o bring_v before_o they_o and_o after_o examination_n have_v and_o witness_v produce_v against_o he_o order_v by_o they_o to_o be_v commit_v to_o the_o tower_n of_o london_n in_o order_n to_o a_o trial_n at_o law_n to_o be_v have_v against_o he_o for_o the_o say_a treason_n and_o be_v in_o custody_n have_v in_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o guilt_n make_v a_o voluntary_a escape_n thereby_o endeavour_v to_o avoid_v a_o just_a and_o legal_a proceed_n for_o the_o say_a treason_n so_o commit_v be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v and_o ordain_v and_o it_o be_v enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o this_o present_a parliament_n and_o the_o authority_n thereof_o that_o if_o the_o say_a thomas_n cook_n shall_v not_o within_o four_o day_n from_o the_o twenty_o day_n of_o march_n in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o render_v himself_o in_o custody_n to_o the_o sergeant_n at_o arm_n attend_v the_o parliament_n and_o submit_v himself_o to_o a_o trial_n at_o law_n for_o his_o treason_n commit_v that_o then_o he_o the_o say_a thomas_n cook_n shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o declare_v guilty_a and_o attaint_v of_o high_a treason_n and_o shall_v suffer_v and_o forfeit_v as_o in_o case_n of_o high_a treason_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v willing_o and_o know_o receive_v harbour_n or_o conceal_v he_o the_o say_a thomas_n cook_n such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o do_v shall_v suffer_v and_o forfeit_v as_o traitor_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a and_o the_o parliament_n do_v hereby_o enact_v and_o declare_v that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v by_o or_o before_o the_o first_o of_o may_n which_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o year_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o fifty_o one_o apprehend_v the_o say_a thomas_n cook_n and_o deliver_v he_o in_o custody_n to_o the_o say_a sergeant_n at_o arm_n such_o person_n and_o person_n for_o his_o care_n and_o pain_n therein_o shall_v receive_v the_o sum_n of_o five_o hundred_o pound_n of_o lawful_a money_n of_o england_n which_o say_v sum_n the_o say_a council_n be_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n authorize_v and_o direct_v to_o make_v payment_n of_o according_o die_fw-la jovis_fw-la 20_o martii_fw-la 1650._o order_a by_o the_o parliament_n that_o the_o sheriff_n of_o london_n and_o middlesex_n be_v authorize_v and_o require_v forthwith_o to_o proclaim_v this_o act_n at_o the_o usual_a time_n and_o place_n within_o the_o city_n of_o london_n and_o county_n of_o middlesex_n and_o that_o the_o respective_a sheriff_n of_o the_o several_a county_n be_v likewise_o authorize_v and_o require_v to_o proclaim_v this_o act_n forthwith_o upon_o receipt_n hereof_o in_o the_o several_a and_o respective_a city_n and_o market-town_n within_o the_o several_a county_n of_o this_o commonwealth_n hen_n scobell_n cleric_n parliamenti_fw-la die_fw-la jovis_fw-la 20_o martii_fw-la 1650._o order_a by_o the_o parliament_n that_o this_o act_n be_v forthwith_o print_v and_o publish_v hen_n scobell_n cleric_n parliamenti_fw-la london_n print_v by_o john_n field_n printer_n to_o the_o parliament_n of_o england_n 1650._o
