a_o act_n for_o turn_v the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n and_o all_o process_n and_o proceed_n in_o court_n of_o justice_n into_o english_a the_o parliament_n have_v think_v fit_a to_o declare_v and_o enact_v and_o be_v it_o declare_v and_o enact_v by_o this_o present_a parliament_n and_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o all_o the_o report-book_n of_o the_o resolution_n of_o judge_n and_o other_o book_n of_o the_o law_n of_o england_n shall_v be_v translate_v into_o the_o english_a tongue_n and_o that_o from_o and_o after_o the_o first_o day_n of_o january_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o all_o report-book_n of_o the_o resolution_n of_o judge_n and_o all_o other_o book_n of_o the_o law_n of_o england_n which_o shall_v be_v print_v shall_v be_v in_o the_o english_a tongue_n only_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o from_o and_o after_o the_o first_o return_n of_o easter_n term_n which_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o year_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o fifty_o and_o one_o all_o writ_n process_n and_o return_v thereof_o and_o all_o plead_n rule_n order_n indictment_n inquisition_n certificate_n and_o all_o patent_n commission_n record_n judgement_n statute_n recognisance_n roll_n entry_n and_o proceed_n of_o court_n leet_n court_v baron_n and_o customary_a court_n and_o all_o proceed_n whatsoever_o in_o any_o court_n of_o justice_n within_o this_o commonwealth_n and_o which_o concern_v the_o law_n and_o administration_n of_o justice_n shall_v be_v in_o the_o english_a tongue_n only_o and_o not_o in_o latin_a or_o french_a or_o any_o other_o language_n than_o english_a any_o law_n custom_n or_o usage_n heretofore_o to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o that_o the_o same_o and_o every_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v write_v in_o a_o ordinary_a usual_a and_o legible_a hand_n and_o character_n and_o not_o in_o any_o hand_n common_o call_v courthand_n and_o be_v it_o last_o enact_v and_o ordain_v that_o all_o and_o every_o person_n and_o person_n offend_v against_o this_o law_n shall_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n lose_v and_o forfeit_v the_o full_a sum_n of_o twenty_o pound_n of_o lawful_a english_a money_n the_o one_o moiety_n thereof_o to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o such_o person_n and_o person_n as_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n by_o action_n of_o debt_n suit_n bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o which_o no_o wager_n of_o law_n essoign_n or_o other_o delay_n shall_v be_v admit_v or_o allow_v die_fw-la veneris_fw-la 22_o november_n 1649._o order_a by_o the_o parliament_n that_o this_o act_n be_v forthwith_o print_v and_o publish_v hen_n scobell_n cleric_n parliamenti_fw-la london_n print_v by_o edward_n husband_n and_o john_n field_n printer_n to_o the_o parliament_n of_o england_n 1650._o
