parliament_n which_o be_v strange_o bring_v in_o by_o the_o army_n may_n the_o seven_o 1659._o and_o as_o strange_o out_v by_o they_o october_n the_o 13_o 1659._o be_v now_o strange_o return_v to_o sit_v in_o the_o house_n as_o before_o we_o judge_v it_o our_o concernment_n to_o call_v to_o mind_v the_o act_n by_o they_o make_v and_o publish_v immediate_o before_o their_o forcible_a interruption_n entitle_v a_o act_n against_o raise_v of_o money_n upon_o the_o people_n without_o their_o consent_n in_o parliament_n which_o act_n of_o they_o proceed_v in_o these_o word_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v after_o the_o 11._o of_o october_n 1659._o assess_v levy_n collect_v gather_v or_o receive_v any_o custom_n impost_n excise_n assessment_n contribution_n tax_n tallage_n or_o any_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o other_o imposition_n whatsoever_o upon_o the_o people_n of_o this_o commonwealth_n without_o their_o consent_n in_o parliament_n or_o as_o by_o law_n may_v have_v be_v do_v before_o the_o 3d._o of_o november_n 1640._o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o declare_v that_o every_o person_n offend_v against_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o adjudge_v to_o be_v guilty_a of_o high_a treason_n and_o shall_v forfeit_v and_o suffer_v as_o in_o case_n of_o high_a treason_n hereupon_o we_o judge_v it_o meet_a and_o equitable_a to_o make_v this_o follow_a declaration_n we_o do_v therefore_o declare_v that_o we_o do_v free_o cordial_o and_o unanimous_o assent_v to_o the_o equity_n of_o this_o act_n as_o consonant_a to_o the_o fundamental_a law_n of_o our_o nation_n the_o benefit_n whereof_o we_o doubt_v not_o but_o we_o may_v just_o claim_v as_o our_o birth-privilege_n in_o all_o such_o case_n and_o concernment_n and_o according_o we_o do_v hereby_o declare_v that_o we_o be_v ready_a and_o willing_a as_o soon_o as_o a_o opportunity_n be_v give_v we_o to_o make_v choice_n of_o such_o person_n as_o may_v declare_v our_o consent_n in_o parliament_n for_o the_o raise_n of_o such_o sum_n of_o money_n as_o by_o they_o shall_v be_v think_v necessary_a to_o defray_v the_o public_a charge_n and_o manage_v the_o public_a concern_n of_o the_o nation_n see_v most_o of_o those_o person_n that_o be_v former_o choose_v by_o we_o for_o this_o purpose_n be_v either_o take_v away_o by_o death_n or_o by_o seclusion_n debar_v from_o sit_v in_o the_o house_n and_o we_o do_v hereby_o further_o declare_v that_o we_o neither_o do_v nor_o shall_v ever_o give_v our_o consent_n that_o any_o assessment_n shall_v be_v make_v or_o imposition_n lay_v upon_o we_o by_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o until_o our_o consent_n be_v so_o declare_v by_o person_n thus_o choose_v and_o entrust_v by_o we_o for_o this_o end_n and_o purpose_n and_o therefore_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v contrary_a to_o the_o forementioned_a act_n and_o the_o fundamental_a law_n of_o this_o nation_n lay_v any_o assessment_n or_o imposition_n upon_o we_o before_o our_o consent_n be_v thus_o declare_v under_o what_o pretence_n or_o colour_n soever_o of_o authority_n or_o necessity_n it_o shall_v be_v do_v we_o do_v hereby_o declare_v to_o the_o world_n that_o we_o be_v under_o manifest_a constraint_n and_o force_n and_o our_o good_n and_o estate_n be_v violent_o extort_a from_o we_o contrary_a to_o law_n and_o justice_n which_o injury_n we_o shall_v no_o long_o bear_v then_o a_o opportunity_n shall_v be_v offer_v we_o to_o right_v ourselves_o and_o repossess_v those_o privilege_n that_o pertain_v to_o we_o by_o the_o law_n of_o our_o nation_n and_o hereunto_o so_o universal_a and_o unanimous_a be_v our_o concurrence_n that_o it_o will_v be_v endless_a for_o we_o to_o subscribe_v our_o name_n which_o neither_o this_o nor_o many_o such_o paper_n can_v contain_v but_o yet_o if_o any_o doubt_n or_o mistrust_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o matter_n hereby_o declare_v shall_v be_v conceive_v or_o pretend_v by_o any_o and_o the_o member_n of_o parliament_n now_o sit_v who_o we_o conceive_v it_o do_v in_o a_o special_a manner_n concern_v shall_v desire_v a_o visible_a testimony_n hereunto_o for_o their_o further_a satisfaction_n and_o more_o full_a assurance_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o reality_n hereof_o we_o shall_v be_v ready_a upon_o the_o least_o intimation_n thereof_o by_o they_o give_v we_o in_o the_o several_a city_n and_o county_n of_o the_o land_n to_o own_v and_o subscribe_v to_o what_o be_v hereby_o declare_v and_o
