elsewhere_o by_o his_o master_n licence_n or_o commandment_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n above_o write_v to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o anno_fw-la xxxiiii_o &_o xxxv_o henrici_fw-la octavi_fw-la cap._n viii_o any_o person_n be_v no_o common_a chirurgeon_n may_v minister_v outward_a medicine_n where_o in_o the_o parliament_n hold_v at_o westminster_n in_o the_o three_o year_n of_o act_n gain_n by_o what_o mean_v the_o surgeon_n of_o london_n have_v abuse_v the_o statute_n of_o 3._o h._n 8._o 11._o for_o their_o own_o gain_n the_o company_n and_o fellowship_n of_o surgeon_n of_o london_n mind_v only_o their_o own_a lucre_n and_o nothing_o the_o profit_n or_o ease_v of_o the_o disease_a or_o patient_a have_v sue_v trouble_v and_o vex_v divers_a honest_a person_n as_o well_o man_n as_o woman_n who_o god_n have_v endue_v with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o nature_n kind_n and_o operation_n of_o certain_a herb_n root_n and_o water_n and_o the_o use_n and_o minister_a of_o they_o to_o such_o as_o be_v pain_v with_o customable_a disease_n as_o woman_n breast_n be_v sore_o a_o pin_n and_o the_o web_n in_o the_o eye_n uncome_n of_o hand_n scalding_n burn_n sore_a mouth_n the_o stone_n strangury_n saucelim_o and_o morfew_n and_o such_o other_o like_o disease_n and_o yet_o the_o say_a person_n have_v not_o take_v any_o thing_n for_o their_o pain_n or_o cunning_n but_o have_v minister_v the_o same_o to_o poor_a people_n only_o for_o neighbourhood_n and_o god_n sake_n and_o of_o pity_n and_o charity_n and_o it_o be_v now_o well_o know_v that_o the_o surgeon_n admit_v will_v do_v no_o cure_n to_o any_o person_n but_o where_o they_o shall_v know_v to_o be_v reward_v with_o a_o great_a sum_n or_o reward_v then_o the_o cure_n extend_v unto_o for_o in_o case_n they_o will_v minister_v their_o cunning_n unto_o sore_a people_n unrewarded_a there_o shall_v not_o so_o many_o rot_n and_o perish_v to_o death_n for_o lack_v of_o help_n of_o chirurgery_n as_o daily_o do_v but_o the_o great_a part_n of_o surgeon_n admit_v be_v much_o more_o to_o be_v blame_v than_o those_o person_n that_o they_o trouble_v for_o although_o the_o most_o part_n of_o the_o person_n of_o the_o say_a craft_n of_o surgeon_n have_v small_a cunning_n yet_o they_o will_v take_v great_a sum_n of_o money_n and_o do_v little_a therefore_o and_o by_o reason_n thereof_o they_o do_v oftentimes_o impair_v and_o hurt_v their_o patient_n rather_o than_o do_v they_o good_a in_o consideration_n whereof_o and_o for_o the_o ease_n comfort_n succour_n help_v relief_n and_o health_n of_o the_o king_n
