consequence_n effect_v for_o the_o county_n or_o corporation_n for_o which_o they_o serve_v so_o that_o to_o endeavour_v a_o perpetual_a parliament_n will_v prejudice_v the_o people_n be_v repeat_a election_n which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v allow_v beside_o this_o inconvenience_n will_v follow_v a_o perpetual_a parliament_n that_o the_o person_n choose_v may_v be_v alter_v in_o body_n mind_n or_o moral_n and_o so_o unfit_a for_o that_o service_n yet_o their_o authority_n will_v be_v continue_v 12._o for_o a_o knight_n citizen_n or_o burgess_n can_v make_v no_o proxy_n and_o sickness_n etc._n etc._n be_v no_o cause_n of_o removal_n and_o further_o if_o those_o person_n shall_v grow_v old_a in_o that_o power_n they_o will_v engross_v the_o office_n of_o the_o kingdom_n into_o their_o own_o of_o those_o end_n for_o which_o the_o say_a act_n be_v make_v this_o be_v potential_o a_o perpetuity_n and_o can_v be_v abridge_v but_o by_o 〈◊〉_d own_o will_n which_o will_v never_o militate_v as_o he_o phrase_v it_o against_o their_o own_o advantage_n so_o that_o then_o this_o exposition_n labour_v under_o the_o same_o absurdity_n and_o inconvenience_n with_o the_o former_a and_o therefore_o but_o have_v surpass_v the_o time_n which_o by_o law_n and_o reason_n be_v sufficient_a to_o accomplish_v those_o end_n they_o lose_v the_o advantage_n they_o gain_v by_o that_o statute_n the_o king_n prerogative_n and_o the_o ordinary_a course_n of_o dissolution_n relapse_v into_o its_o old_a channel_n and_o consequent_o the_o say_a parliament_n be_v by_o the_o king_n death_n actual_o dissolve_v they_o be_v a_o parliament_n they_o be_v either_o such_o by_o the_o common_a law_n and_o custom_n of_o parliament_n which_o be_v a_o principal_a and_o fundamental_a part_n of_o the_o common_a law_n of_o the_o land_n or_o by_o the_o special_a statute_n so_o by_o both_o they_o can_v be_v a_o parliament_n but_o they_o be_v not_o be_v a_o parliament_n by_o either_o of_o those_o two_o way_n for_o the_o reason_n hereafter_o allege_v not_o by_o the_o common_a law_n and_o custom_n of_o parliament_n because_o as_o the_o learned_a mr._n prynne_n have_v prove_v in_o his_o say_a book_n and_o the_o author_n agree_v it_o and_o it_o be_v not_o doubt_v by_o any_o man_n that_o have_v any_o understanding_n in_o the_o law_n that_o parliament_n as_o it_o be_v a_o parliament_n by_o the_o common_a law_n natural_o determine_v by_o the_o demise_n or_o death_n of_o the_o king_n nor_o be_v they_o a_o parliament_n by_o the_o especial_a statute_n because_o than_o it_o will_v be_v another_o thing_n distinct_a from_o that_o parliament_n which_o be_v summon_v in_o the_o king_n life_n to_o which_o the_o power_n of_o representation_n which_o be_v confer_v upon_o the_o member_n thereof_o by_o the_o
