be_v licence_v shall_v pay_v to_o the_o poor_a man_n box_n within_o the_o parish_n where_o they_o shall_v dwell_v or_o remain_v in_o the_o feast_n of_o the_o purification_n of_o the_o bless_a virgin_n mary_n or_o within_o six_o day_n after_o the_o same_o feast_n six_o and_o twenty_o shilling_n and_o eight_o penny_n the_o same_o to_o be_v pay_v within_o one_o month_n next_o after_o the_o same_o such_o licence_n grant_v than_o the_o licence_n shall_v be_v register_v in_o the_o church_n book_n with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o one_o of_o the_o churchwarden_n and_o the_o party_n licence_v shall_v give_v to_o the_o curate_n four_o penny_n for_o the_o entry_n thereof_o and_o that_o licence_n to_o endure_v no_o long_o but_o only_o for_o the_o time_n of_o he_o she_o or_o their_o sickness_n and_o if_o any_o licence_n by_o any_o parson_n vicar_n or_o curate_n be_v grant_v to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n other_o than_o such_o as_o evident_o appear_v to_o have_v need_n thereof_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o sickness_n wednesday_n the_o licence_n grant_v to_o any_o person_n before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v extend_v to_o the_o wednesday_n not_o only_o every_o such_o licence_n shall_v be_v void_a but_o also_o every_o such_o parson_n vicar_n or_o curate_n shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o licence_n otherwise_o grant_v five_o mark_n provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v that_o all_o licence_n heretofore_o grant_v to_o any_o subject_n of_o this_o realm_n by_o any_o of_o the_o late_a king_n or_o by_o the_o late_a queen_n mary_n or_o by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n now_o be_v or_o by_o any_o archbishop_n of_o this_o realm_n have_v authority_n so_o to_o do_v shall_v be_v of_o as_o good_a force_n in_o law_n for_o the_o wednesday_n now_o limit_v and_o other_o accustom_a fish_n day_n as_o they_o be_v before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n for_o the_o say_v other_o accustom_a fish_n day_n so_o as_o the_o party_n licence_v do_v hereafter_o observe_v all_o such_o condition_n as_o be_v limit_v in_o this_o estatute_n to_o such_o as_o shall_v hereafter_o obtain_v any_o licence_n and_o such_o person_n also_o as_o heretofore_o be_v or_o aught_o to_o be_v licence_v by_o reason_n of_o age_n or_o other_o impediment_n or_o cause_n by_o ecclesiastical_a licence_n by_o 〈◊〉_d law_n ecclesiastical_a order_n of_o the_o ecclesiastical_a law_n shall_v enjoy_v the_o same_o privilege_n and_o accustom_a licence_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a hereof_o in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o and_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v be_v present_v before_o the_o say_a judge_n justices_z or_o officer_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o authority_n or_o any_o information_n give_v to_o they_o of_o any_o offendor_n of_o this_o act_n that_o then_o they_o shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n upon_o any_o such_o presentment_n or_o information_n to_o make_v process_n against_o the_o offender_n of_o this_o act_n like_v as_o be_v common_o use_v upon_o indictment_n of_o trespass_n and_o if_o any_o be_v present_v and_o afterward_o be_v convict_v by_o confession_n or_o otherwise_o that_o then_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v suffer_v no_o less_o forfeiture_n or_o punishment_n then_o herein_o be_v before_o limit_a all_o which_o forfeiture_n to_o be_v levy_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n follow_v that_o be_v whereas_o the_o jurisdiction_n of_o the_o cause_n shall_v appertain_v and_o all_o such_o forfeiture_n as_o according_a to_o the_o tenor_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v determinable_a before_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n shall_v be_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n her_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v be_v convict_v by_o confession_n or_o otherwise_o upon_o any_o information_n make_v by_o any_o person_n or_o person_n against_o any_o offendor_n or_o offender_n of_o this_o act_n in_o any_o cause_n save_v for_o the_o eat_n of_o flesh_n do_v the_o same_o in_o time_n prohibit_v upon_o the_o want_n and_o lack_v of_o other_o kind_n of_o victual_n neither_o shall_v extend_v to_o st._n laurence_n even_o st._n mark_v day_n or_o any_o act_n have_v authority_n to_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o same_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v that_o no_o manner_n of_o person_n or_o person_n be_v impeach_v molest_v or_o trouble_v or_o indict_v within_o what_o time_n the_o offendor_n shall_v be_v indict_v shall_v incur_v any_o pain_n penalty_n or_o forfeiture_n for_o any_o offence_n contrary_a to_o the_o act_n before_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n abovesaid_a that_o it_o shall_v law_n punishment_n of_o offender_n by_o the_o ecclesiastical_a law_n be_v lawful_a to_o all_o archbishop_n and_o bishop_n in_o their_o diocese_n and_o to_o all_o other_o have_v ecclesiastical_a or_o spiritual_a jurisdiction_n to_o inquire_v of_o every_o person_n that_o shall_v offend_v in_o the_o premise_n and_o to_o punish_v every_o
