so_o hardy_a to_o contrive_v speak_v or_o tell_v any_o false_a news_n lie_n or_o other_o such_o like_o false_a thing_n of_o prelate_n duke_n earl_n barous_a and_o other_o noble_n and_o pear_n of_o the_o realm_n or_o of_o the_o chaunceloure_n treasurer_n clerk_n of_o the_o privy_a seal_n steward_n of_o the_o king_n household_n justice_n of_o the_o one_o bank_n or_o of_o other_o or_o of_o any_o of_o the_o great_a officer_n of_o this_o realm_n and_o that_o every_o such_o offender_n shall_v be_v take_v &_o imprison_v until_o such_o time_n as_o he_o have_v bring_v he_o or_o thenforth_o which_o do_v speak_v the_o same_o and_o where_o also_o at_o a_o parliament_n hold_v at_o cambridge_n in_o the_o xii_o year_n of_o the_o reign_n of_o the_o say_a king_n rycharde_n it_o be_v also_o enact_v that_o where_o any_o such_o offender_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a shall_v be_v take_v and_o imprison_v and_o can_v not_o find_v he_o of_o who_o he_o hear_v those_o news_n which_o he_o speak_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a that_o then_o the_o same_o speaker_n shall_v be_v punish_v by_o thaduise_n of_o the_o counsel_n as_o by_o the_o same_o act_n amongst_o other_o more_o plain_o do_v and_o may_v appear_v be_v it_o enact_v by_o thauctoritye_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n that_o all_o and_o every_o the_o say_v former_a act_n and_o statute_n shall_v be_v and_o remain_n in_o their_o full_a force_n intentes_fw-la construction_n and_o purpose_n and_o further_o that_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n in_o every_o shire_n city_n &_o town_n corporate_a within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o several_a commission_n shall_v by_o auctoritye_n of_o this_o present_a act_n have_v full_a power_n to_o examine_v hear_v and_o determine_v the_o cause_n above_o say_v in_o the_o say_v two_o first_o act_n specify_v and_o to_o put_v the_o say_v two_o first_o statute_n and_o every_o branch_n in_o they_o contain_v in_o due_a execution_n that_o from_o henceforth_o condign_a punishment_n be_v not_o defer_v from_o such_o offender_n and_o for_o asmuch_o as_o divers_n and_o sundry_a malicious_a &_o evil_a dyspose_v person_n malicious_o sedicious_o rebellious_o and_o unnaturallye_o contrary_a to_o the_o slanderous_a news_n rumour_n say_n and_o tale_n against_o our_o moost_n dread_v soveraygne_a lord_n and_o king_n and_o against_o our_o moost_n natural_a soveraygne_a lady_n and_o queen_n and_o against_o either_o of_o they_o of_o who_o we_o be_v forbid_v to_o think_v evil_a and_o much_o more_o to_o speak_v evil_a which_o offence_n sound_v and_o be_v aswell_o to_o the_o great_a dishonour_v reproach_n and_o slander_v of_o their_o most_o excellent_a majesty_n as_o also_o to_o the_o great_a slander_v of_o this_o their_o realm_n and_o other_o their_o dominion_n but_o also_o have_v devise_v make_v write_v print_v publish_v and_o set_v forth_o diverse_a he_o ynous_a seditious_a and_o slanderous_a write_n rime_v ballad_n letter_n paper_n and_o book_n intend_v and_o practise_v thereby_o to_o move_v and_o stir_v sedition_n discord_n dissension_n &_o rebellion_n within_o this_o realm_n to_o the_o great_a peryll_n and_o danger_n of_o the_o same_o for_o avoid_v whereof_o be_v it_o unto_o the_o place_n where_o the_o say_v word_n be_v or_o shall_v be_v so_o speak_v be_v set_v open_o upon_o the_o pilory_n by_o the_o sheriff_n or_o his_o minister_n if_o it_o shall_v fortune_n to_o or_o of_o either_o of_o they_o or_o to_o the_o encourage_n stir_v or_o move_v of_o any_o insurrection_n or_o rebellion_n within_o this_o realm_n or_o any_o dominion_n belong_v to_o the_o same_o or_o whosoever_o shall_v maliciouslye_o procure_v any_o such_o book_n rhyme_n ballad_n letter_n or_o write_v write_v prynt_v or_o set_v forth_o and_o the_o say_a offence_n not_o be_v punishable_a by_o
